That truck is very strong, even at high DA. It's good to hear those carbs worked out so well. I'm amazed that a C4 holds up to this, I know it's modded, but still. The truck looks and sounds great going down the track, even my wife who was in the room as a I watched commented on how good it sounds.

That is a great great carb. I'm in northern CA and they love our sea level air. Hard to imagine Holley leaving so many improvements on the table. Did holley get complacent or lazy? Was good deemed good enough? Edelbrock took holleys lunch.
Not bad at all, 99 in the top of the 1/8 mile and pulling the wheels on an I beam pickup? And yeah, the Edelbrock carbs rock, you just know they did their homework on those before they turned em loose on the gearheads. That's how they roll.

I have a 77 f100 with a very mild 460 in it a5 speed and its on 175 shot of nitrous … i liked it so good i built a fresh 460 thats going to be a beast .. I’ve just let it sit for a few years .. after watching this video i think ill fire the ole truck up n drive it down to the garage n just put the new 460 in … its a 71 block with dove heads and it has all aftermarket rotating assembly with flat tops . The heads have bigger valves it has a stealth intake on it and my choice of whatever holley works .. i have. 250 nitrous kit or i could put twin turbos on it .. if i just run it without a power adder its still going to be a fun lil motor after watching this video i simply cant wait !!!
Truck sounds clean Andy. Is the 1.48 60 a PB also? On paper with the weather and BP and right converter and maybe some mineshaft weather I think 6.50s could be in the near future. Good luck brother and another great video. Mika is the man and I love watching the wagon run also.

It's sorta hard to believe that after all the time , effort , and cubic dollars you put into the twin Dominator setup ...out of the box Edelbrocks run at least as good . Not only that , I've heard similar reports from guys running them on much different combinations . 350 , 383 , 454 , 351 cubic inches on a variety of intake manifolds ....and they all say " Great , right out of the box " . We've all heard the expression ' You cant be all things to all people ' ? Well , it sounds like Edelbrock found a way . Best of luck to ya in the future , be safe ....and fast .
Great out of the box means what..? To who..? What are the numbers..? Would love see the fast system Andy is using to give us REAL numbers. The carb he is testing now is not good out of the box he said himself it was rich. What about idle.? What about cruise. No carb is good out of the box if you know how to tune it.

I'm running one on my 68 Thunderbird with 429 Thunderjet and totally love it! Same right out of the box no adjustment necessary!
