    I had the wrong olaplex in the video! I meant to put Olaplex #4...however I’m obsessed with the #3 as well!

    I was perusing on Long hair forum and found an old thread about dry ends. Anyway one of the advices was washing the whole length of your hair in addition to scalp and paying special attention to your ends if not done well you'll end up with product build up. Since I have low porosity hair product build is the worst for me. I realized why I was washing my hair wrong and why my ends always were jacked up, dry and why my straightened hair was never flowy. I think washing the scalp only comes from naturals who mostly wear their hair curly.

      Wow, i didn't realize the importance of getting your ends clean too; thanks for that tip! & I also think focusing on just washing your scalp comes from naturals who mostly wear their hair curly

      Wow!! So I was doing this and then I saw a bunch of naturals say you shouldn’t. You should do your scalp and not wash your hair strands, to not focus on those. I didn’t realize this would cause me more build up. I guess that’s why they call it a hair journey lol whew

    Olaplex everything is amazing!! 😂 But this shampoo in particular is the most concentrated shampoo I’ve ever used. I just can’t believe how such a tiny amount suds up to work on a large portion of my hair!! It’s deceiving! I really love it too.

    Do you have any specific tips for growing short and fine heat trained natural hair? I recently big chopped four months ago. I washed my hair every two weeks to once a month, and I straightened my hair once every two months. I was also wearing protective styles in between washes (twists, locs)
    Now that my hair has grown a few inches, I’d like to not wear protective styles as much and straighten my hair more, but since it’s barely shoulder length now, I’m worried it will just break off from rubbing against my shoulders (I have very fine, fragile ends so I usually keep them protected. Genetics!) 😭
    Any tips? Thanks so much! (Currently wearing space buns. lol)

      My tip would def be investing a little money into seeing a professional hairstylist who can give you tips about techniques, products, etc. that you can use specifically for your hair type to continue to keep your hair healthy and retain length. & when you do wear your hair down make sure to have your ends well moisturized so it prevents some of that breakage from your clothes. I am loving the space buns thou lol. I'll def be doing that next week!

      Wear more silk/satin shirts whenever you let your hair down. Deep condition or mask the ends every time you wash and run a tiny bit of oil on the ends only! everyday if you’re wearing a straight style.

    Have u ever noticed that the end of your hair feels rough/ hard after flat ironing it? I did and had to pass the flat iron and comb on the end again. I just had a trim

    • @sierralafaye
      @sierralafaye  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmm, the stylist may not have trimmed enough off; you can try a deep conditioning treatment or hot oil treatment; that may help to soften the hair a bit.
