Q: Can ones tfsa be for emergency funds savings?
Thank you so much, I appreciate your comment! Yes,you can hold your emergency funds in a TFSA however if you are choosing between using your TFSA room for saving or investing, it's best to invest there because of the tax benefits. If you can't maximize the accounts with investments only, feel free to save in there! Let me know if that makes sense or if you have any questions 😊
Please do the video on budgeting! 😢
will do!!
Actively saving in my emergency fund has been such a game changer. Before, I would usually just say I want to save but I wouldn’t take any action to actually put the money away. Such a joke 😅😂😂😂
LOL I feel you! You've seen the light!!!
Your dress 😍😍
thank you boo 😊
I also have been cooking more because my Uber eats bill was atrocious
I need to get on this wave goshhh I'm still slacking
can you still contribute to the fhsa even though you own your home?
Nope, it's only for first-time home buyers.
@@nicolesylvester377 not true! I explain here: th-cam.com/video/iHh_617cUd8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=l3wpG5tCSJlA63zF
Yes you can! The FHSA has interesting rules on who they classify as a first time home owner. Under the FHSA, if you own a rental property that you have never lived in, you are a first time buyer. Also, if you own a property that you've lived in, but haven't lived in in the past 4 years, you are a first time buyer.
In my case, I bought a property in 2020 and have never lived there so I'm a first time buyer and can contribute to the FHSA.
@@xoReni Thank you!
