The funny thing about my reading a comic book by Larry Hama over the years was realizing that I was a fan of his work. It happened by accident. Larry's talent crept up on me. Surprise, surprise!

😎 Larry tells it like it is Alex! Funny Animal comics had the art and the storytelling creativity that made them the $uccesses they were. If it was just the same old story over and over again then none of them would be as fondly remembered as they are. Straight to the point responses from Larry👍. " Logan " still to this day remains my favorite Marvel hero film. Just from the trailers and Johnny Cash singing you could feel the western -film noir combination. For me it was " Ride The High Country" and "Bad Day At Black Rock" that "Logan" reflected. This was a subliminally inspiring interview .

THANK YOU for this one! I’ve been a longtime fan of Marvel /IDW’s G. I. Joe series since 1985 and as 2022 marks the 40th Anniversary of G. I. Joe: A Real American Hero, this interview with “Lethal” Larry Hama is apropos.
I think Larry’s one of the very few writers whose works are appreciated by fans (far too many give too much importance to artists). The others being: Stan “The Man” Lee and Chris Claremont, and Denny O’Neil.

This is my top 5 live interviews of comic creators on youtube. Learned a lot. Larry Hama seems like a very laid back, cool guy and he's ex-army like myself. I also did 4 yrs U.S Navy.7 yrs U.S Army and 4 deployments to Iraq(with Texas National Guard) I volunteered for all 4 tours. GO ARMY !!! LOL.

Larry wearing a Rhindlander Hodag hoodie is awesome. I'm from Wisconsin and am shocked that Larry has been to that festival celebrating the mythical beast in the middle of nowhere.

33:43 Funny to hear that writers thought that writing the GI Joe comic book was a poor career decision.
