This was 35 minutes of pure joy. To see that after 50 years in the business he still so passionate about his art was incredible. Kudos to his wife for helping to realize his dream of a school for young artists.
I also stared drawing comics at a very young age! And a year after I graduated from high school I started going to cartooning school! Learned alot about drawing comics! And I still remember drawing alot from how to draw comics the Marvel way and now I'm studying the correspondence courses from the Kubert school! If you want to become a fantastic artist go to the Kubert school!
It warms my heart to see Joe's eyes light up each time this thoughtful interviewer asks him a great question, or points out Joe's past. The interviewer must have ahad a passion for comics, and had to of been a fan of Joe 🙌
Wow! I’ve had the X tremendous pleasure of meeting Joe and his son,Andy! Both of them were very friendly ! Joe and his wife,Muriel starting the Art school is one best things that could happen to the industry! Godspeed to them both! I love these interviews!❤😎🎯
Amazing interview! Joe Kubert is undoubtedly one of the giants of the industry, as well as one of the most important and influential comic book artists of all time! Kubert's tenures on Sgt. Rock, Hawkman, and Tarzan are incredible! It's also an absolute delight to have his sons, Adam and Andy, both continue to thrive in the medium as artists in their own right while honoring their father's legacy! May he continue to rest in peace...he is still missed!
I loved Kubert's "Enemy Ace" series when I was a kid. His depiction of WW1 aircraft made me really sense the wood, wire and fabric nature of the airframes and sparked a life-long interest in the planes and those who flew them.
Such a generous soul and amazing talent. It's remarkable how cogent and erudite he was, even _very_ late in life. I wish that Jack Kirby could have enjoyed the same mental agility. Anyway, great interview of a great man.
Hello again! I was impressed by the old covers he worked on, like Solomon Kane and Kull the conquerer, as I dimly recall. Did you do any videos on Neal Adams? Ross Andru? Lee Falk? Thank you so much
if youre already working and know exactly what you are going to do for a living you shouldnt even waste your time with school. school should be helping kids learn what theyre good at and what they like anyways. instead of teaching kids crap theyll never need. if you know how to read and write and do basic math and have good communication skills (which they dont teach you) you can learn anything that you need to learn to do whatever you need or want to do as long as you are capable of performing the task. if you force kids to learn useless stuff their whole childhood all youre doing is facilitating stupidity because the words "learn" and "education" has a negative stigma associated with them.

Breaks my heart watching these interviews with such brilliant minds and talent only to realize they are gone. Life is short their work lives on. ❤
What a legend!

Many artists admired Kubert's work. One artist admired his ability to balance his work & family life.
I loved his Tarzan, great interview David and Alex!
A sweet, brilliant, and loving man. So nice to hear him talk about the craft. We all have much to learn from the man.

so much love for this guy
Wow, what a cool guy. Thanks so much for sharing.
Another great interview. I love hearing these giants of the comics industry speak and tell their stories.
Great interview. His point about the primacy of storytelling in comics is forever relevant.
What a laidback guy!

Wish these guys were still around to thank them for their great work. Great interview ✨
Right earphone only plays white noise. Thank you very much for this none the less, this is awesome.
I’ll look into that, cheers and glad you’re enjoying it
These masters grew up holding pencils. Kids today hold mobile phones. What will become?
Eisner was a Dad... a great guy, he was a greater man than an artist.
