Good to see ya back Jesse, I just learned some cool trivia! You know how in G.I.Joe #6 grand slam is on the roster list, but on the mission it’s flash? Well, I was looking at the letters pages for G.I.Joe #9, and a fan asked about that, and the guy who answered said that grand slam being on the roster list was a mistake, it should’ve said flash. So now we finally know why grand slam was on that list, it was a mistake.
You know, people claim the G.I.Joe comic as “the marvel comics series” and that Larry’s other Joe comics are separate series’. But I think labeling it like that nowadays is insanely disrespectful intentionally or not. The G.I.Joe comic series is all one book. It’s Larry Hamas book. Sure not every issue from the marvel era is written by Larry, but they are so few and far between, they don’t matter. I see G.I.Joe more or less as an independent book by Larry Hama. The series wether published by marvel, idw, or sky bound is still the same book that’s been going on since 82.
Larry Hama also wrote Marvel's comic adaptation of For Your Eyes Only, the one 007 film where Sir Roger Moore played James Bond seriously. S. P. E. C. T. R. E.'s Ernst Stavro Blofeld & Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker of Hydra were far more credible than Cobra Commander. Both were well educated and far more competent and disciplined. Having John F. Kennedy on hand to activate both S. H. I. E. L. D. & G. I. Joe (under then Lt. Joe Colton) made sense; JFK was a strong advocate of unconventional warfare & special ops.
Solid Snake would fit in Perfectly in Their Art Style.

In regards to Louie Louie, he actually looks more like Storm Shadow during his time as an LRRP in Vietnam, especially with the camo bandana.
This has got to be the best deep dive into the origin of our favorite heroes that I’ve ever seen. Thank you so much for putting this out.
Great video as usual!
This was my favorite episode. They need to actually make a series about fury force.
We may never know how Fury Force turn out.
I always found Fury Force fascinating, ever since my introduction to the in Toyfare. Great video
Yes, my friend!! YES! 🔥
Really cool, man. So much of GI Joe is 100% compatible with Marvel continuity, in my imagination. 🤘🏻
Very interesting to see more about Fury Force.

I would love for FURY FORCE to somehow see the light of day before Hama crosses over to the other side. Make it a What If? limited series.
Have you done a history of Nick fury senior?
Quite funny we eventually ended up with Fury Jr. in the mainstream Marvel Universe once the MCU synergy started to hit.
Something about the thumbnail almost made me skip the video. Didn't recognize it as one of yours and thought it was one of those AI channels
Where do I get those figures from? Those guys look bad ass!!!
A 1.99....
LOOK AT THAT PRICE!!!!!
"I'll buy that for...two dollars!"
Ironically I think cobra commander is a more interesting character than baron von strucker ever was.
