prime-era Dio is untouchable. such a tight band.....I'm so happy to have seen him live as many times as I did. Best gig ever: Heaven and Hell in '07 (maybe it was '08) at Jones Beach Theater in NY.
Quite a few mistakes starting with Dio himself coming in at the wrong point in the start and the others compensating but still awesome and it really at the same time shows that this is truly a real live performance.

What an amazing band. The beginning was a train wreck but they found it. Apparently that 5 count leading into the 1st verse was tough for Jimmy to nail down just like the rest of us. 😂😂
Vivian Changed some of the licks in the solo... I guess he didn't liked the recorded version that much, or he was just on an improvising mood that day... who knows, he is still one of my main influences as a player. We Rock!!
Agreed about the axe. Back in the early to mid-80's, there were some great little companies making excellent hand-made guitars. Charvel, Shecter and the original Hamers come to mind. I myself own a great old 1981 Hamer Vector with a custom neck (customized at the Hamer factory, no less) and I wouldn't trade it or love or money. Way better than all of these Asian-made pieces of crap on the market today. No comparison at all.
