Saw DIO in Amsterdam that year. Queensryche, quite unknown at that time, as supporing band made it a double bill, they were that good. And DIO, man, great as ever. what a voice... And now my son knows him as the best singer ever. Still got some pictures from that concert, even the ticket survived the years. And my 'Man on the Silver mountain' still holds this special place in my heart. Rest in Peace my man!

I saw them on the Last In Line tour in Maryland at The Capital Center on election night - the night that Reagan got re-elected. Dokken was the opening band and George Lynch was very good. My friend and I had amazing 4th row seats! Dio put on the best heavy metal show I've ever seen. The vocals and the musicianship were top notch, the list of songs they played was incredible, and when the fire pyro shot up from the stage during "Heaven And Hell", we were so close that my face felt hot from the flames. It must have been really hot onstage!

We lost him 10 years ago today. I found out about it on my car radio the day it happened not realizing he was only about 2 hours away in Houston.
Damn, this makes me cry...I miss him so much :( I saw him in August 1984 at Red Rocks, I'm trying to find some footage from that show.
My first time was 86 Sacred Heart and 15 more times through out the years up until 2007 with H&H (aka Sabbath) miss him!
