the great thing about covers like this, is that people who haven't heard about these classics, now get the chance to look the original up and maybe gain new favorite artists/songs along the way 🙂
Cesar's the baby of the family...pretty sure there are a lot of people his age who've never heard that song, and probably more than a few who have also never sent a letter via snail mail. ☹ Which might be why Geoff thought this might work better for a loop than a full song? idk, but they all did a nice job!
One of my husband’s friends came in to work one day still laughing. That morning his teen daughter had come to him and asked, “Did you know that Paul McCartney was in a band before Wings?” Yes, we’re getting old. But I’d say that Cesar was the only one here that didn’t know it. Geoff just likes to tease Layne any chance he gets.
Always such fun! I'm sure he meant Cesar - revenge for choosing a song they didn't know in Loop 1 perhaps?! I think you see what the person who got the edit job chose to show... looks like Cesar edited this one for his sins! 🎈
I interpreted Layne's reaction as an indication that Geoff was wrong, and he knew it. As for Cesar.... (sigh). I've listened to reactors that had no idea what the Beatles sounded like or who was in the band.
Don't forget, Cesar is 10 years younger than the others and he's from Puerto Rico, so Elvis was just not in his experience. Don't be sad - he enjoyed it
No, they don't have full versions or different versions of these on their Patreon. The loops are part of their "mini's" -content, which is just short extra content. So this is all you're gonna get to hear. They do offer the MP3 version of the finished song part on their Patreon though, without the talking/building part.
He probably meant Cesar didn't know it, and it was true.... I don't think they are putting out full versions of the loops, just doing them to stay out there. Thanx for reacting to this!!
They did great, considering. :) I watch a lot of younger reactors who dont know Elvis, or they always thought the Bee Gees were black, and so on. It's pretty painful at times, I agree. Especoa;;u for oldies like me. Big Elvis fan back in the day.
For what it's worth, Elvish is about as far outside my normal music genre preferences as it is possible to get without wearing lederhosen and playing an accordion, but this is one of the three Elvis songs that I'm familiar with, and unlike Way Down (which I never heard of until Geoff covered it), I have been aware of Return to Sender for years. I don't know all the lyrics (mostly just a couple of lines of the chorus), but yeah, I do know of the song. The other one I'm aware of is Blue Suede Shoes.
Right? How do you not know Elvis? I get that it goes back a couple generations, but it’s still part of the soundtrack. I love this loop!! I want more of these!
What I want to know is why didn't the guy in the song get off his butt and GO to her to apologize in person. No wonder she kept sending his letter back. He was an idiot. 🤪

I love their new idea of doing these loops. Silly boys.
Love to watch how their brains work. Blows me away how fast they can create!
These loops are fascinating. Always makes me want a full version
I love how much Eli was into this ❤
he's a rocker at heart ❤❤

Agreed one of my favorite Elvis's songs.

Its great to finally be able to listen to Elvis 😂

Caesar isnt alone. I also havent heard this song before. (And Im kinda midway between all the guys). But the guys did the thing. Was a jive
Makes me sad too Lyle!!! LOL
In Caesar's defense he's only 36 years old. The other 3 are in their 40s.
And even they were born after Elvis' death

Yep. My daughter was born the year he died.
You're sad?? I had to explain to baby colleague who the Beatles were. I think I have PTSD
