- Restoring an Old Rusty Knife with Long Blade. I found this knife at an antique store. I think it was made in the 60-70s in a prison. This knife is very similar to a Finnish knife. The blade of the knife was rusty, and the handle was damaged. I decided to restore this old rusty knife. I removed the rust and polished the blade. I hope you liked my restoration.

This video highlights the importance of saving and reusing old things instead of throwing them away! Great video, inspiring!!!👍👍👍
You are truly an artisan
Amazing restoration on this old rusty long knife.
Your talent blows me away. You do such fantastic work. I truly enjoyed watching you work your magic on this knife. Thanks for sharing your video with us. I look forward to seeing your next video.
Take care and be safe. 😊
Having declared my dissatisfaction with this sharpener last night th-cam.com/users/postUgkxDcr-y2Pf6xdnrFHrSP7dl9kpKaCozcSQ I thought about the problem some more. It occurred to me that I might be undoing each attempt at achieving a sharp edge by the repeated attempts. So, I tried to clean up the unsatisfactory result by honing with only positions 3 and 4.Miracle!! A really nicely sharpened chef's knife, more than enough to handle my needs. Admittedly, it did not reach professionally sharpened razor-fineness, but it is now significantly sharper than it was. A bout of breaking down carrots convinced me. So, major apologies to the manufacturer, Amazon, and all happy and potential owners! Follow the directions: don't buy it if you have ceramic blades; and don't overwork your knife blade.
Pppp
...LOOKIN' GOOD, NICE WORK...
That wasn’t a restoration, that was a distinct improvement over the original.
Another beautiful piece that is better than the original
Professional restoration

Great video! But I am a super novice at this and just want to restore one knife (read not willing to invest in a lot of single purpose tools or chemicals) do you have a more detailed video or set of instructions somewhere? TIA!
Hi! Vinegar 9% and sandpaper) These are the main tools)

Nice job. The handle material looks interesting do you know what it is made of?
Cow or buffalo horn .
請問,電解完後的廢溶液,是怎麼處理,倒在那裡,謝謝
Another great job! Do you know the age of the dagger?
классная финка
Вау! Пляшечки із копу! Моє коханнячко! 🇺🇦💪💪💪💪💪
Soft steel and aluminium guard. More a toy than a real knife.
🙋👍👏👏👏😍
Should have fixed that rounded tip.
You could have saved a lot of time had you used the wire wheel first! The vinegar may remove rust but the electric wire wheel will remove it in a few minutes!
👍👍👍👍!!!🇺🇦🖐

Avec sa garde, ça a plus l'allure d'une dague que d'un couteau !
Looking at the blade and pre-restoration construction, I wouldn't say it was a knife. My guess is that it's a letter opener, and the steel might be too soft to actually hold an edge for a long time.
Yes, this is a knife for open letters. The blade has a specific shape
I have asked you in the past if you were in Germany. I now believe you are or very close
Vintage.. gimme a break
Nice. But is not a restoration. Is building it new.
