- Filmmaker Ami Horowitz has blasted pro-Palestine protesters in the US over their false claims that they believe the October 7 Hamas terrorist attacks were actually committed by Israel.
Mr Horowitz went undercover during a pro-Palestine rally on October 7 and questioned protesters about the war in the Middle East.
“Every single person I spoke with said in the clip, ‘Israel actually committed October 7’,” he told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“That it was a false flag operation in order to wipe out the Palestinians.”

There is not now and has never been a country/nation named “Palestine.” In 1948 Muslims in Gaza decided to name themselves “Palestinians” but they did not name any real estate. FYI the Quran says twice that Israel belongs to the Jews.
Umm in 1948…..Gaza was in EGYPT….they were EGYPTIANS and later arabs who were exiled from Jordan and Lebenon. Gaza was part of the Sinai peninsula until 1967 when they lost it in the 6 day war!

I'm a very firm supporter of Israel, but this childish argument does not help the Israeli cause. Nobody disputes that there was never a "country/nation" called Palestine. So what? There definitely WAS a geographical region (roughly Judea/Samaria) named Palaestina by the Romans in retribution for what they saw as Jewish treason/insolence because of their repeated attempts to overthrow Roman rule. And for about 1,600 years that region had a Jewish presence, but that presence was never a majority, and Jews were not allowed in positions of authority, neither by the Romans/Byzantines nor later by the Caliphate. Nature abhors a vacuum, and so other people began to populate the land. What are we to call these new inhabitants? A people are normally referred to by the name of the land in which they live, or vice versa. These people had no single name before they entered the area of the Roman Empire/Byzantine Empire/Caliphate/Turkish Empire known as Palestine (Filastin/فلسطين), so in this case we call them after the name of the land. They were never independent, but they DID exist. What else are we to call them? The word "Arabs" is much bandied about, mainly by people who don't know what it means. "Arab" has two possible meanings: (1) an inhabitant of the Arabian Peninsula, or (2) a speaker of the Arabic language. Obviously they are not (1), and (2) covers most of the population of the Middle East and North Africa.
