    I’m guessing it will be like the car paint evolution. It’s not that the solvent paint doesn’t work, it’s that all the r and d is going towards the waterborne. The same thing will happen with mx bikes. They’ll pour all their resources into the electric and the gas won’t get the attention

      World gp is talking about it. Actually some cool stuff related to bringing it back to rider skill instead of the tech craziness they have now. From what I've been reading, there are some absolutely brutal new 2 stroke engines being developed that are cleaner burning and as always more efficient at making power than the 4strokes. I remember the 500cc 2stroke Superbike and man that was a wild era. Imagine them now with actual development being done.

    I don’t want gas bikes to go away. When they figure out the battery that will fully charge in like 10 to 15 minutes and a range comparable to gas bikes. That’s when electric will really turn people’s minds around. Battery tech like the fast charge and slow discharge capacitor will be big.

      Gas bikes aren't totally going away. They are an addition not a replacement for quite some time. They are just another tool and huge growth area for the sport. There are some disciplines of the sport that an E bike can't be used for. Now could E bikes take over for Supercross? 100% especially since it's mainly just an advertising platform anyways and that's where most of the R&D will be focused.

    Ive been riding and racing more than 40 years and I have several bikes. All I want to ride now is my Stark Varg...it is that much better to ride than my other bikes it is ridiculous. I don't even want to ride my other bikes any more, they just seem like antiquated technology now and are so much harder to ride.
    At my age I am past the point of caring about any emotional attachment to the sound or smell of a gas bike...I just like to ride, not interested in watching other people ride...anything that makes riding easier, safer and more fun because I can go faster, is going to have my attention. The Varg ticks all the boxes.
    We can race them here in Australia..even in the pro mx nationals. Im racing mine for the first time this weekend at a regional race in the mx1 c class, so against the 450's. I am limited to 60 hp and have to put the phone app into mx 1 race mode b4 I go to the start line which will lock it from going higher than 60hp for 12 hours and the officals at the race will be checking it.
    It will be interesting and fun
    The Genie is out of the bottle now and theres no stopping it...every time a rider tries one of these things for the first time, you have another rider that will likely buy one asap. Many will no doubt have the intention of keeping and still riding their gas bikes, but from what Im seeing posted online by Varg owners like me, that idea quickly goes out the window. You just find you are forced to ask yourself do I really even wanna ride that thing anymore?
    I only ride motocross, the varg is a motocross bike, not an enduro bike and the battery range is more than adequate for me....everyone's mileage will vary..

    heres my question.
    normal weekend see's 1000+ bikes.
    1000 bikes charging a weekend how much fossil energy -- like oil, coal and natural gas would be used compared to 1000 bikes running normal gas.
    id bet. 50-75x more at least. reason why electric car sales and government plans to switch over have halted, its now "hybrids" that are considered better since you can get 2x the mileage out of the same fuel as a normal car. instead of burning 10x the fuel to charge a car to go the same distance.
    electric is a gimmick concept that went to far and stark make you pay a monthly subscription to have access to race modes on a bike youve already paid for. clown show
    stark quote about new app coming for already sold bikes that will require a subscription to use. "This BETA release offers a glimpse into our soon-to-come, Full Pro-Subscription, which promises even more innovative features and advancements in the future of motorcycle racing.

      Totally uneducated comments. First off, the Varg has nothing to do with green energy. Second the subscription is mainly for the race mode to support transitioning to the race series. • @remotecontrol9874
    @remotecontrol9874 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Don't agree. Just because the bikes are faster everyone won't go to that. 2 stroke 500s were the fastest. Most people never wanted to race 500 class. There's such a thing as law of diminishing returns. Too much power is not usable power. Do ebikes have gears and a clutch? Would everyone want to race an ebike just because it's faster? Look at MTBs. Those ebikes are clearly faster than regular mountain bikes, but all the pros are still racing World Cup mountain bike races on pedal powered bikes, not ebikes.

    • @kurtheidelbach
      @kurtheidelbach 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      🤣🤣🤣There are different classes of MTB racing you can't mix them 🤣🤣E bikes are fully adjustable that's how they will have multiple classes. The GNCC for E MTB's is massive. Of course there are no gears LOL that's the main advantage. There are some with clutches and some without. You absolutely don't need one though. Having all brakes on the handlebars is also a huge benefit. The Varg which is the top seller now doesn't have one but others do. Sounds like you are clueless on them to be making such uneducated comments. They aren't implying that they are going to replace all ICE bikes he is talking about the professional level. Just like mountain biking the same is true with dirt bikes. Almost everyone that has an electric has a legacy bike as well.

      @root12510 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @kurtheidelbach I was referring to the ones who are pushing the electrics as the best thing since sliced bread. But I do agree it goes both ways with the argument.
      Personally I don't see the upside to say the stark. Is it fast? Ya. But the cost associated with these bikes is out of hand. They still require maintenance, just a different variant. Ie, gear box oil, coolant, modules for days etc. I'm curious as to how these bikes actually hold up under regular use. If new cars have taught me anything. It's that electrical systems these days are throw away parts that go bad often. Gas powered bikes have there maintenance as well. But just running numbers between the 2, the electric are way costlier. A replacement battery is 3k for example. Charging stand 1k. And then the pay to play subscription stuff to unlock the full power of the motor just brings BMW vibes lol. And honestly I don't see new ride areas opening because of them being quite. It ain't about the noise other than an excuse at racetrack. The government doesn't want us out in the back country on bikes at all. Hell, you get in trouble for walking off path these days. Imo it's more of a control mechanism. Mandate electric and ban gas as they're trying to do her in CA. Just means less people on bikes. And less places to ride in the long run. If people like them let the market decide. It shouldn't be force fed as the only alternative with no room for anything else. Companies like Toyota are going away from electric. Leaning on hybrid and other fuel sources for many logical reasons. I just really don't like the force fed propaganda. And honestly it goes for both sides of the coin.

    • @kurtheidelbach
      @kurtheidelbach 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@root12510 There isn't anyone pushing electric bikes they are simply be offered by consumer demand. Like I said see comment above. People know nothing about them. No benefits?🤣🤣🤣People are getting all kinds of seat time on electric bikes during the week after school and work while I'm driving 1-2 hours on a weekend. There are all kinds of comparative information for maintenance from the Alta and Freeride. Bikes with over 500 hours and operating like new from a battery and powerplant perspective. The Varg is overall much better too. Of course there is still basic chain, shock, fork maintenance etc. That's common sense. The cost isn't much more than a KTM initially and costs will come down with all the bikes in development just like with any other product. No air filter and oil changes after every ride. Just wash it and lube the chain. All sorts of stories with tons of time on the bikes without anything but positive things to say. The only total naysayers are the ones that haven't ridden one. We aren't talking about cars that's not even a comparable topic and a very common idiotic comparison. You have a warped thought process because you live in CA. Nobody is forcing anything the free market is deciding and that's why the Varg is the bestselling single bike with over 20,000 sold. That being said almost everyone that owns an E bike owns ICE bikes as well they are additional tools.
