It was definitely very dusty in that venue... it happens sometimes, like right now while I'm watching this there must have been a dust storm in my house, it's the only explanation.
As a fan living in Japan, I would like to thank you all US fans' genuine welcome and love for the band during the tour.
They deserve it. It is easy to see the love and commitment they have to music and the real friendship they share. The music is in fans hearts and the happiness created flows back to the band as it should.
We do love them for sure. And are fortunate over here to still be able to communicate this love to them with both the spoken word and singing along with their songs. I think that was very important to them - Kobato said at many of the okyujis how happy it made them to hear the voices of the masters and princesses......

I was there, standing in front of Saiki. There were a couple people in front of me. But when I saw Akane, I just wanted to give her a big hug. She's a bad-ass drummer with a tender heart. She has become my favorite drummer of this current age.

Akane has developed into a very handsome woman with an amazing personality and huge sense of humour. The fact that she is a world leading drummer is almost incidental but she must possess enourmous strength and endurance.

And here i thought I was done shedding tears for a while. I have often said that when Akane smiles everyone smiles with her. I believe it works for crying also. What a beautiful soul she is. This is an amazing video. I truly believe that this US tour was such an epic experience for everyone including the band.
Akane is the only drummer that I know that can move people to tears during a drum solo. She exudes so much joy on the official live video of freedom ( Line Cube Shibuya 2020) I have seen TH-cam reactors moved to tears ( I did the same for the first 200 times that I watched it) . This one made the fountain in me gush on a whole other level. She is a very different personality in Band Maid. She definitely is not shy. She is certainly one who is always down for a joke or some fun, but she is publicly the quietest member. But again on stage, she is the most expressive emotionally. Wow, I love this band.

They don't sound like anybody else and you know it is them just by the way they play. They are also incredible human beings who care deeply. This video was hard to watch but also incredibly beautiful. I think we a just wish we could collectively give her. Hug.

That House of Blues venue in Chicago looks really impressive from inside. The way the second and third floor balconies are stacked makes it look huge!

@@gizeright @Xrousn honesty compels me to admit that I was only zooming because I always feel like I need to make a concerted effort to watch the drummer for a period during a show to really appreciate what they bring to the performance. And I had not had any views of Akane in my previous shows that were not obstructed by her cymbals. So I definitely came into this one with a notion of catching her for a song or two; Endless Story was the perfect chance. I didn't even realize what I had captured until I looked at my camera roll a couple of days later.....
@@edhunt Lol..Either way were just very Thankful that you happened to catch that..sometimes strange things happen and you are the "lucky one" to be in the right place at the right time?? It just really warms the heart see how much emotion someone can feel at certain times(Akane seems like a very sentimental person..just from watch her reaction to visiting Seattle after 6 year on their website!). Was fortunate enough to see them at Irving Plaza in NYC on Oct. 28th. I’ve been to many, many concerts over the years and have NEVER encountered a band that connects with their fans on such a sincere, deep and personal level. The Maids truly Love their masters and princesses. # The best band in the world.

There's no crying in baseball! Oh but there certainly is in music. I'm 71 yrs old and haven't even cared about new music in so long, stuck in the 60's and 70's until I discovered these 5 extraordinary ladies. The huge bonus was finding out they already had recorded like 100+ incredible songs.
The cherry on the top is May 15 in Austin will see them live. I can then die happy.
But I won't- have to stay atop the grass until the nex LP!!
I"m 59 and haven't listened to any new music since the late 80's metal scene was killed off by f'n grunge. So glad I found Band Maid - these ladies bring me back in time when music was great again !!

There is such a huge emotional component with this band.....I've never seen or known anything like it....and I'm old
I don't exactly know what made her emotional here, but I would think of the feeling of having fun at a theme park and knowing just 2 rides and then you gotta go home, and you wanna stay, like you want again and again.

Akane played Endless Story with her feelings outside her body, she could not hide her feelings, she is an amazing drummer and person. I believe the crowd singing along was giving her good vibes, Miku thanked the masters and princesses for their participation, must have been a great moment for all of them.
I've seen Band-Maid play Endless Story twice, both times in Tokyo. I sang along with Band-Maid and the crowd with tears in my eyes, very memorable moments for me 🙂
I freely admit that when I see them play this live now, it has extra special meaning to me. Because I know what it means to the members.

Battling with such emotions while gives her best beat guardian works to save the day
Out of the nearly endless hours of Band-Maid I have watched, this just might be the most touching few minutes. The connection between the band and the fans is like no other band I know of. I have some thoughts on why 'Endless Story ' might have been the song that provoked Akane's intense emotions. They have said in interviews that ES was written with a arena/stadium performance in mind. The sing-a-long choruses and expansive, mid-tempo sound were designed to play well at very large concerts. While they are not there yet, successfully completing this epic US Tour while completely blowing away audiences is a great leap forward to that goal.
Agree. Looking forward to witnessing it explode. They have earned it. In the same way as when the Beatles and Bruce Springsteen played many years in small clubs and built up a loyal fan club.
This was the highlight of the evening for me. The moment that intro vocals came on, I sang with Miku-chan and Saiki-san for the entire song. This song is just iconic already.
Not to mention, as someone who was there, the venue was completely jam packed, you could hardly move around
I was also there. Fantastic show. I heard some staff saying they had never seen lines etc like that before at HoB Chicago.
That was a really special night I'll never forget! The HoB may max out at about 2500 people, but from the inside it looks big and the fans were there for it. On camera you really can't pick up on all the subtle cues from the band members that were evident in person. I came away from that night with the impression that both the crowd and the band were beyond grateful for each other. I hope to see Band Maid Live again someday, but that night will always be special.
I don't think I've ever seen a performer enjoy their craft in the way Akane does. She seems to be SO over the moon when she's playing --she was meant to be there, she knows it, and she lives every instant of it to the fullest. If I could live the most intense moments in my life with half the intensity this girl lives her most boring shows, I'll die a happy man.

I tried to keep the phone in the pocket as much as possible. Not sure why it struck me to pop it out and focus on the Gorilla here - and wasn't aware of what was happening til I went through my camera roll a couple of days ago.
While the song says "you can't relive the moment" - I feel fortunate that I can somewhat relive this one....and to be able to share it with others.....

Beautiful to see Akane joined the crowd experience and felt the love in the room. By contrast...a busy busy MISA in superhero mode was great to see. The onion choppers on the loose by the end 🥲❤🤘🤘🤘

I was at this show, as well, right in front of the sound boards and we were singing as hard as we could on this one! It was a tremendous show that was well worth an 8 hour drive each way to get to. This band made the isolation of the past few years much more bearable for me. Finally getting to see them live with so many others who were just as excited was perfect.
I hope Akane knows that this just makes us love her all the more. 🥰❤🥰❤💖
Something I didn't think was possible....
I've seen this video quite a few times now, and the thing is, instead of my emotions diminishing, they are only getting stronger. I used to be under the impression that Miku was the heart of BAND-MAID, but now I believe that title belongs to Akane.
She is the Gorilla with the heart of gold 💛
We can see Akane couldn't hold back "A Multitude of Emotions..." Probably felt Deep Gratitude in many respects, like to the fans who showed up and how they developed a strong bond between us and them. Overcoming the lockdown and being able to tour. I'm sure there were some tough times & struggles during the tour as Saiki mentioned towards the end of the show (check Wave Potter Film's Video for the full show) but said it was so worth it b/c of all the fans. And perhaps she was reflecting on the days when they first released Maid in Japan, it didn't get much traction and I heard they felt some uncertainty whether they can make it in the music business or not. This song Endless Story pretty much sums up a lot about what's been happening for the past several years. Would like to know if Akane was the one who wrote the lyrics for this... 14 shows in 5 weeks. All packed houses. And this is the last show.... Look at all the American fans singing along. The Tour is about to end. To Edward Hunt, Thank you for posting this VERY SPECIAL BandMaid Video 🙏

I really hope they were filming this tour for a documentary... I had a sense from an interview that they really didn't grasp how loved they are outside of Japan... The final show of this US tour and this says it all... If they didn't know before, this clip shows they realize it now .... Thanks for capturing that moment... Kanami reacted that way a bit at the Dallas Show, Misa couldn't stop smiling. Even Miku got a little tear eyed In Houston. I was told Saiki reacted same way at another show. Not sure which one. They defiantly know they are loved here now. They earned it to. They played their hearts out. They are not afraid to be themselves and be a little silly during the show. It's so refreshing. I got so tired of all the same old BS talk at every show, I got so dam fed up with all the other bands from the US always fighting, arguing and calling each other names, then pretend to get along when you know they really don't. They just do it for the money. God it's so refreshing to see a band who really loves entertaining their fans the way these ladies do. And I love that they genuinely love performing and being together. Nemophilia and Lovebites is the same way. These ladies made me love music again.

It was the "Day of Maid Special Talk" they did on 5-10-2022 starting about 15 minutes in, Miku-san started talking about the tour...and was suprised how many had bought tickets...and Saiki-san expressed surprise at how many shows were booked (13 at the time). I think they had to add even a few more if I recall... If they were surprised by the numbewrs, imagine what they felt from all the crowds at each venue! Funny too, Miku-san started talking about them possibly crying at the end of their Japan leg of the tour... The interaction with the audience must have really drove the love home... All I can find at the moment or reactions to that annoucement special... so I don't have a link...:(

This song obviously means a lot, I believe sometime ago Saiki said it encompassed Band Maid for her and something obviously triggered Akane's emotions. Laughing or crying she is a fantastic musician and a wonderful playful person.

Akane's my favorite. She's not technically the best drummer but no one sounds like her.
Other bands trying to do something different, but Band-Maid has Akane who does her own thing to make their sound so much more interesting and everyone else in the band does the same in their own way.

We who have been rocking for many years with many of us being musicians fully appreciate the amazing talent of these girls who are so obviously happy to bring their refreshing brand of rock to those of us who have been waiting for something like this for years. Liddledriver you got that right! I read so many fan's comments of how this blessing of a band has saved rock music for them. I, also an old rocker, credit these ladies with renewing my love of music. I wish I could just one day tell them personally how positively they have impacted me. Oh I could go on and on, but I will leave it at this.
This US tour had a tight schedule, but the live performances at every venue were filled with enthusiasm thanks to the devoted support of the supporters. I didn't think the charm time would be so exciting.
Akane was overwhelmed and cried, the calm Saiki made a mistake in a part of the song, and Mincho fell down, but overall the performance and the audience were wonderful.
That was a beautiful moment you captured. An emotionally happy Akane warms my old heart! Thank you for sharing and brightening my day.

Having greatly enjoyed everything about Band-Maid since I saw them online, my favorite thing about a band filled with favorite things has always been the happiness of Akane's smile. Perhaps that joy is reflected in the seemingly tearful happiness she shows here. Thanks for the vid.

Yeh!- looks like Akane is getting real emotional during this song, bless her. Her mouth is closed and she's holding back her emotions. It's clear on a second look especially at the very end- last show of the tour? She is a born extrovert and socialite and makes the biggest show when she gets introduced on stage. She's probably a better dancer than Saiki too (see vids of her and Saiki dancing a routine together). Misa will know how she is feeling as she and Akane are great pals and they socialise a lot together.
