Gene! I freaking love this! This whole story time/ Yosemite trip sounds like an absolute blast! Love both the 35mm and 120 film. I can't pic which is better but I love how different they all are. Hope you are doing well! You are freaking awesome!
I feel like the Mamiya 7 photos look so much better. Maybe it’s the matter of the square format or simply because each 120mm film costs more, or just the fact that I have seen too many Leica M6 images I took myself and would like to get into 120 photography.
I've always heard that rain on your wedding day is good luck soo those rain sprinkles are a good thing! love your method of storytelling, excellent work here!
Thanks for the video. When I shoot film landscapes, I have the following equipment options: Leica M6 35mm rangefinder with 21/35/90mm lenses. Contax G1 35mm rangefinder with 21/28/45/90mm lenses. Fuji 6x7cm medium format rangefinder with fixed 90mm normal lens. Fuji 6x9cm medium format rangefinder with fixed 65mm wide-angle lens. In my opinion, my medium format film images are better than my 35mm. However, the 35mm film equipment is so much easier to transport.
Interesting video. Using five minutes to say you went to Yosemite is a bit to much though. And then there's allways, would it be better with a Canon or Nikon SLR than the Leica, and what if you used another film, E100, for instance. But still, interesting video, and nice work.
I would agree that while the whole story is cool, i just wanted to see the comparison seeing as that’s what your video is titled so I ended up skipping the first five minutes, kind of like a ‘tldr’ kinda thing. Whether it would be better with a Canon , Nikon or Leica is a separate point, the other point to make is what lens is used with any system. Unless I missed something, the only thing mentioned was a 28mm on the m6. I’m assuming it was a Leica 28mm? Constructive criticism, please don’t take offence
Would love to see some close ups, to compare sharpness and detail. I have the 7 in my mind but I’m not sure about it, is it actually much better than 35mm?
1. You talked more about the wedding than about photography. 2. There is nothing to compare, as there is no technical information provided on how the shots were taken with both cameras. No exact information on the lenses used (28mm,for Leica M6, and 80mm for the Mamiya) isn't enough. No information on how the scenes were metered..Conclusion, there is nothing to compare..Sorry to say that the pictures were not that impressive, you can get that with a cheap point and shoot..I hope you won't get offended by my critic..it just the reality, and hope this will help you to improve. Said that, good luck in your landscape photography journey.
@@geneyoon11 I am very glad that you took my critic the right way..and appreciate your attitude. I made a lot of mistake in my landscape photography. The progress I made is by listening to my friends who critized my work..that was a big help..and still I have a lot to learn..just keep shooting and with your attitude I am certain that you will succeed..I wish you all the best and lot of joy in your photography.
came for the comparison, stayed for the awesome story time, lovely vibes and amazing pictures! appreciate the content, bro
My guy thanks man!

The first 5 minutes were a bit too long
Hope you watched it through!
Medium Format is my film of choice. I process my own 35mm and Medium Format which still bring me joy.

Will definitely have to! 100% there's more resolution for sure between medium format and 35mm!
Photos start at 5:40
Yep
Both cameras were great

It obviously IS better and it obviously ISN'T better. Depends on what you use it for.
