He said the Fire Hydrants are not giving enough water! Not that the "Firetruck" didn't have any water! To the comment that the firemen are standing and posing,do you know how teams operate? Do you know how hard the firefighters were working? They work in teams. While some teams are in, some are out. Don't be nasty. Find out how they operate please. Thank You.
We need to build the same culture that the Americans have, where our Firefighters are presented as Heroes. Well done, and respect to our courageous Firemen.
The question should be asked, did the factory have enough fire extinguishers? Are the staff trained in the use of fire extinguishers? And do they actually have a fire team trained the extinguish small fires before it gets out of hand? If people were running around trying the get stock out, why not run for fire extinguishers to extinguish the fire or try to contain it not to get out of hand. Businesses are all about making money, which is what businesses are about, yes, but no-one thinks about the Fire prevention to your business to prevent this kind of loss to property or even how it will effect the workers trying to keep your business open. Just saying.
Shows that u shouldn’t comment if you weren’t there 😂the people running around were apart of the shops in front of the building The factory itself was behind was on fire The building was empty when the fire started so having the training would be stupid considering it was a big blaze to contain
Apparently the fire started in the shoe factory, people were running around trying to save their stock since 5pm💔it was way too quick! But still don’t understand why the fire brigade took so long to arrive let alone extinguishing. Horrible scene to watch, peoples jobs and livelihoods gone in the space of half an hour
Like the gentleman says, it was a small fire that could’ve been controlled very early on as the SAPS were there by 5:10 but still everyone just stood around watching💔💔
There are more foreigners working for businesses in this area i hope that home affairs gets involved What about the health and safety act Fire exists in these premises where they compliant with the labour laws
Mostly PMB fire trucks don't have water or the pipes are leaking. I remember when Department of Education burnt down in Loop Street, it was the exact situation of a fire starting small and them not being able to contain it or put it out because of the said issues. This is a big problem😫.
There are lots of foreigners from Pakistan and India here as well, not only African foreigners. Don't complain about them being here. In China, there are lots of blacks there teaching English to the Chinese kids, and most of them are young women.

Shame a business gone with jobs, hope nobody was injured.
