The reason the chemicals are black is to stop light from getting onto the film while the developing chemicals work their magic. Otherwise, the picture would instantly be ruined (like if you open a film camera). That top plastic layer actually contains an acid that causes the black stuff to turn transparent after a delay, revealing the picture that's developed underneath.

So that layer film is actually two layers of different kinds of film you have one layer that’s a negative and another layer that’s a direct positive it works based on something called direct negative positive transference from what I’ve read it’s really cool shit
I believe a main component of the reagent paste is potassium hydroxide, which is what makes this stuff very alkali. Wearing gloves was a very good idea for handling it.
I don’t like how bulky the photo is w all the backgrounds (and esp don’t like the white frame). Can I use the photo by itself or does the backing protect me and others when touching it??
I wonder that goo develop on film. I remeber Polaroid film(not the paper) use black goo on their processing pack and became slide film after the goo dried and peeled.
I got some of the black liquid on on camera so is it safe to use and touch the spots that were on the liquid? I cleaned it after with towel and some soap but it left a stains
SDS (safety data sheet) is not included with the film. It does have a warning on the package about the highly alkaline paste and not to puncture unused or freshly used film.

This seems to be Instax Monochrome. Black and white is much less complex than color. Please open a color Instax paper to see how complicated it is. It has 18 layers to develop colors separately.

What happen if you squeeze the unexposed film
I try to squeeze the exposed film from the cartridge it actually works and it become developing brown

I have an image saved between the cell phone and the case, could the heat of the cell phone affect it?
It is possible, I have never tested that. But heat is generally bad for light sensitive materials.

No, that is the only film available for Instax cameras.

The developed photo did look like it was in colour, the sky looks like it has a blue ish tinge to it
You can wash all the chemicals easily when The chemicals get your hand
now you told me it's toxic after I cut open a faulty polaroid
it it bad if the stuff got in someones mouth but they rinsed it out immediately
Wash the exposed film with hypo then you will get a negative
If you wash with water with an exposed film you will be shocked the film has been discolouredI try to soak in the water and it’s the same thing
