This video shows you how to install new trimmer line on a Husqvarna 223L String Trimmer.
Trimmer line can wear down, become frayed, and even break as you constantly use it to trim weeds and edges around your home. Always keep your trimmer spool wound with enough trimmer line, so you won't run out in the middle of a job.
*Jack's Safety Tips: Before servicing or repairing any power equipment, disconnect the spark plug. Remember to wear appropriate safety gear to protect against harmful chemicals and debris.

Did you not read the manual? The two ends should not be even. The offset distance varies with head model number. This difference in length of the two lines eliminates the excess waste when the line trimmer blade cuts off the ends.

Me too. This is crazy easy. I was wrapping it around both sides with only one continual wind. It would never retract on it's own by this method. And the other videos I watched showed a different design on the wind cylinder. They had 2 holes in them to insert both sides of line. So, I just looked up Husqvarna specifically and now inderstand the correct way to wind the line. I am so happy. THANK YOU!!

Damn, Jack read instructions, now why can't others?..lol
Most try to snap reel on top first, then fight its bottom rim on last. Also they flip trimmers upside down, Husqvarna clearly states load it with trimmer upright so trimmer starts easier. Great job Bud!
Husqvarna made these heads right, mine was used in a large cemetery for 10yrs and still being used on my 3 acres weekly. These heads are brutes. People who can't load a weedeater head opt for speed feed heads, we had guys go through 1-2 a month hitting headstones, those SF heads are junk. You can buy each piece on this head too, no reason to buy entire head for spring or worn button you trim street/sidewalk with instead of the grass..lol
. Practice loading it with 10ft of line about an hour, you'll have it down to speed feed times soon enough.
It's the last head you'll ever buy right here. I tossed the speed feeds in trash from my Shindiawa & Echo when they split, I put a universal T35 head on & there still on them. That was 10 yrs ago. Practice loading a short line in your best recliner like I did, you'll learn it fast!..lol

Nice job! I assume the lines dislodge from the spool slots that they snap into initially after you press them down into the eyelets or are they supposed to stay in the spool slots too?

Good video, shows everything. I have a T45X head on my Husqvarna and it works very nice.
