I think there is nuances to the light skin discussion in Nigeria context. For example, in yoruba land, men are sometimes scared of light skin women b/c of the "mamiwata" attachment to them or that they are "destiny snatchers". The superstition surrounding light women. I honestly think Nigerian men are a bit liberal in what they find attractive especially indegenious yoruba Nigerians. I think igbo men may prefer light women.
