So sad you had the thieves. When I lived in England we had a new lawn made - overnight people came and rolled up the turf whilst we slept and made off with it, we were not happy people.

Good idea about keeping your keys by your bed. Im going to start doing that too! Don't paint your kitchen cabinets!! They allow the eye to rest as they move around your colorful and beautiful kitchen area. I think it is grounding to have that solid wood there. Oh well, do what you want, I'm sure it will be fabulous. I can't say enough good things about your dad. I lost my dad 9 years ago. I thought he'd always be there. I'm definitely a lazy crafter myself. I love pretty things but I am lazy I admit. The gingerbread ornaments are gorgeous, the dry brushing looks like icing sugar dusting. Love your boho style.
To cool! My sisters & I ran a ceramic shop out of a old church that belonged to my Dad & Mom. The ceramics was so fun. But you had to poor each mold & some where really big. You would pour the slip which was a clay product. And let it set for a while & then pour it back out. The molds where 2 parts you put together with a very strong rubber band. The amount you left in the mold determined the thickness of the item. But the item was what they called green. And it had imperfections such as the seam. You would clean the seam off & make it smooth. Then it had to be fired in a hot kiln. It was quite a process. All those big Christmas trees you see today had to be fired twice. Once to make it strong. Then you painted it with a product that was a paint that you fired again in the kiln. It went on like a thick paste type product. And would turn these amazing enamel type paint. That is very hard. And sometimes it had chips in the paint that would turn into this magnificent colors randomly. Some you didn't fire twice. It really reminds me of the molds that you are using. And you could just use the sorta chalky type paint even then. If you wanted the piece to really come alive. It was almost like what you are describing dry brushing. We called it antiquing in those days & it was more of a enamel wash. But when you finished your piece. We sprayed it with a seller kinda like the clear sealers you buy in spray these days. I wish the ceramics never woulda went away. We had shelves & shelves of the green items poured & on shelves for ppl to come in & buy. We had classes where they would paint there items with helping instructions. Everyone could become a artist & turn out there own DYI pieces. It I guess was a DYI before its time. But oh so fun. 😊

I have just recently started my craft journey and repainting furniture and other small items in my house to make things that I love. I am happy to see someone who has made a success out of her life, and is ministering to others through her craft in your shop but also on TH-cam. You are showing others that you do not have to have a family or children to have a full and meaningful life. Wish I did not live on the other side of the country so I could come to your classes. I love all things Christmas and all styles too! But we have a small house and got a slender tree 7ft. I love to work with them, and fill them to the max with all kinds of ornaments I've made. I do a Victorian theme, with ornaments that are Dresden inspired with vintage paper scraps on glass bulb and all the trimmings. Slender trees rule, and make a big impact on small spaces. Oh why not put up surveillance cameras that will notify you when someone steps on certain areas you adjust to, I use portable a RING Bell and add a Cameras to the back inside back room porch and sometimes outside too. I made a tall skinny tree for my heirloom ornaments. I used dollar tree little trees zip ties together and use a dowel for strength for the middle. Easy cheap and ohhh so cute
Thanks for the cute ideas. I'm in a 728 sq ft condo. I had a pencil tree from Walmart. Last year I set it up at the office and when it was boxed and ready to bring home, the cleaning crew took it. None of them knew anything about it. So I will forego a tree this year. Happy Thanksgiving!

You have to walk sideways through the area around the coffee table. I need to know how you manage to keep a tiny kitchen organized!!!
