I love a lot of your playthroughs, but this one holds a special place in my heart. I can't explain it. I guess you could call it the 'Room' of horror games and not just because of the incompetence displayed. I mean clearly the creators tried; you can tell through that excellent monster design and the kick starter promises alone. Even some of the character's backstories weren't too bad, and not going to lie Monica coming in to help Rooney out was pretty badass. They had some passion for this project, just like Tommy Wiseau with his movie, but they just flew too close to the sun. It's a shame, but still so damn funny to see a sarcastic player like John go through the motions of madness. XD

A week long cruise is normal. But you aren't just on the ship 24/7 they usually make stops at different islands to refuel and you're allowed to go off of the ship and explore the island, get some food or buy merchandise for maybe a good 8-12 hours before you gotta get back on board (or they will leave you behind 😂 it's happened before) Some people go on 2 or 3 week cruises but those are typically like Alaskan ones

You know, the vending machine death reminds me of a Junji Ito story, but with less gore and with a shower drain. I'd say both deaths are about equally horrifying and goofy as each other.
god that cut straight to the game after the hedge clippers got me, i was expecting a "oh hey, didn't see you there" and i also love watching you play this, its probably cluncky and annoying to play but I appreciate it and look foward to more if you do it!

Oh, I am so ready for more! Janky and horrible as this game is, it does have that PS2 horror vibe-especially with those fixed camera angles! I loved your Haunting Ground play through and I’d love to see you play more PS2-ish horror games (though I understand why you can’t due to the algorithm and such). Can’t wait to see more!
I still cannot help but re-watch this for the hundredth time. This series makes me so happy lol. I wish you still did your intros like you did for the next videos you did for this game, same with your raps like you use to for others hee hee.
This is probably one of the worst "horror"-games i have ever played! John's expression at 53:44 describes it just perfectly. I mean: - The story makes no sense. - The bad/good- ending conditions are hilariously idiotic (light spoiler: John can consider himself lucky for picking up the wedding ring). - The characters mostly look like as if they have been lifted from other games. - The writing is just terrible (at least it's good for a laugh). - Do i even need to mention the gameplay? However, the worst offender is actually that this game was developed by some of the biggest heads in the japanese horror-game industry (which makes it more sad than anything else).
I adore Clock Tower as a horror series, and this is probably the funniest intro I've seen from you. Keep up the amazing work John, have fun doing what you love!
One of my favorite things about watching your gameplays is your patience with these kinds of games. Going around the places and thoroughly searching for items. I can never do that. I get dizzy right away, especially if I'm stuck at a certain part. And I love how always chill you are when playing horror games. Made my horror tolerance raise up a lot :D
This is a very weird game. Vending machines eating people? Scissor Walker-lady coming out of that guy's dead body? A creepy old lady chanting curses on elevators? Still, I'm kinda intrigued. This game raises so many questions. I want to see if it answers them. For instance, where are all the people on this cruise ship? Who is Rooney? Why does that bellhop or whatever have a bite on his neck? I wanna see where they're going with this. And where Monica and the guy with the bite on his neck, (Eric right?) think they're going to escape to, when they're on a cruise ship in the middle of the Mediterranean. I'd watch more of this if John plays more Spiderman.
Hi John! I'm a serial watcher/re-watcher of your videos, and although I'm subscribed, I hardly ever leave likes or comments. I saw your recent tweet that hearing people's feedback is one of the main reasons you do what you do and it inspired me to try to give back for all the entertainment you've given us over the years. Whenever I rewatch an old video of yours, I'll leave a like and a (somewhat) substantive comment about the content. That said: NightCry! One of my favorites, and one of those good-faith efforts by fans that turns into an absolute mess. As far as Part 1, the bit where the guy suddenly gets eaten by the vending machine and then the Scissorman appears will probably always be my ultimate mental image of: "Well. That escalated quickly."

is it just me or is the character model for "Harry" Dante from DMC? oh lawd 18:58
I think so too lmao
Man, DmC must've affected him pretty badly considering that he ended up in this game.
Hello people from the Vacation video 🖤
11/10 would watch again.
The only reason I watch this is because I want to hear john funny commentary 😂😂😂
You know, the vending machine death reminds me of a Junji Ito story, but with less gore and with a shower drain.
I'd say both deaths are about equally horrifying and goofy as each other.
I love rewatching this series just to get a good laugh
Wow, John. Great moves! Keep it up, proud of you!
god that cut straight to the game after the hedge clippers got me, i was expecting a "oh hey, didn't see you there" and i also love watching you play this, its probably cluncky and annoying to play but I appreciate it and look foward to more if you do it!
Awesome to see you cover this game, saw some gameplay a while back but that channel never finished the game and I never got around to playing it myself. It's good to know this playthrough is in good hands. :)
HI JOHN!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT CONTENT!! 😁
I mean:
- The story makes no sense.
I remember Retsupurae did a Kickstarter Nonstarter on this back in 2015 and looking at this game now, I can see why.
My future band name: Killed By The Presence of the Elderly
I don't know if it's just me, but Harry looks like Dante from DmC's head got put on a frat boy's body
Donte
I wouldn't have noticed. Until Manlybadasshero said something in his video. and that to me makes his death funnier.
i notice it to
Same
I adore Clock Tower as a horror series, and this is probably the funniest intro I've seen from you. Keep up the amazing work John, have fun doing what you love!
I laughed so hard when he reached the keys and he couldn't take all of them. He was so done with Monica. I can't breathe.
This sounds stupid, but why isn't there a game like Clock Tower where you play as SpongeBob and you have to run from the Hash Slinging Slasher?
Good question.
Yes, gtlive did it.
There is actually haha
LOL the dialog in this game is hilarious bad, I love it. Yes please do more, I don't think it's a long game.
That said:
NightCry! One of my favorites, and one of those good-faith efforts by fans that turns into an absolute mess. As far as Part 1, the bit where the guy suddenly gets eaten by the vending machine and then the Scissorman appears will probably always be my ultimate mental image of: "Well. That escalated quickly."
This is definitely a "Good", "Bad Game", Funny Shit John
