  • One of the best performance upgrades for your UTV is a set of sticky tires on beadlock wheels. Today we are going to put 4 of the most common sticky tires in the UTV world to the ultimate test of stickiness. We are calling it the 2021 UTV Sticky Tire Shootout presented by KMC Wheels and it will help us decide just what is the best utv tire for rock crawling. We will be testing these tires on two different machines. I will be using the Mega RZR and Ricky B of RCV Performance will be running his Turbo S. The tires we have today are my used 35 Maxxis Roxxzilla Competition Compound, 33 Nitto Trail Grappler UTV K Specs, 32" USD Sticky tires, and 32 Super Grip K9 stickies all on KMC bead lock wheels. This is not a sponsored video. We are just giving our honest opinion on 4 of the more popular options when it comes to UTV sticky tires. We will be talking about price, height, weight, and performance. The concrete wall at Hawk Pride Off Road Park will be a test of stickiness, whole brokefoot will be test the rock crawling ability and we even have a loose dirt climb to see how well these tires perform in the dirt. Stay tuned and find out which tire we think is best. Also let us know what tires you would like in the next shootout as we bring back our top 2 and test them against 2 more UTV sticky tires.
    Big thanks to Hawk Pride for letting us use the park for testing. KMC for the wheels and the tire companies that sent us tires to test.

    It’s strange how people pick a dedicated rock tire that does not perform at all in mud over a tire that does Slightly worse on rock but way outperforms everywhere else. My System3 XT 300 did really good on rock face at Rocky Ridge. Not quite as good as the rockzillas ( but I still made it up ) on the slick rock sections, but everywhere else there was no contest. Y’all did a great review. By far!! the best I’ve seen. Thanks for sharing.

      @@BustedKnuckleVideo y’all should really try the System3 XT 300s. The people I ride with suggested rockzillas to me for Rocky Ridge. I tried to get some for my Honda Talon but none were available at the time for 15” wheels. All they had was for 14” wheels. So I did some homework the best I could and came across the XT300s. They are a 33x10R15. They come in at 44# which is extremely light for that size and aggressive of a tire. I would not consider them a sticky tire but man they perform!!! When we would climb big rocks the rockzillas would just spin. The XT 300s because of the tread design would grab the rocks like fingers from a human hand. ( hope I explained that right ). The rockzillas were better only on slick rock, but the park offers rocks, mud, sand, river beds, tree stumps, gravel. Give the XT300 a try if ya can. I really think you will like them. Specially for the trails when you don’t know what your gonna get yourself into.

    • @bobbyb608
      @bobbyb608 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      370s are better in absolutely everything besides rocks. On the slick and loose stuff the zillas are a liability. I’ve had to hammer down in high with zillas on a steep loose rock hills in my pro, that my buddy walked up with 370s in a turbo xp. It’s even worse in wet rutted out mud hills. The zillas don’t have good side to side traction so it will always fall into ruts. On wet lime stone, rocks or concrete slabs I can drive around where ever I want, my buddy with 370s usually has to pick a line and give it a lot of throttle. I’m going to swap to the new Mickey Thompson Baja x tires once my zillas wear down. I think it’s going to be a very good happy medium between the two

    • @1SlowST
      @1SlowST 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Iv personally ran both on my machine. Both 35” and the Zilla is all around a much better tire. Only thing the 370 was better than my Zilla stickies in was deep mud. But I avoid that at all cost. Wet slick hard packed muddy climbs and wet/dry rock climbs the Zillas outclasses the 370’s by far

    Love the effort, but far from a scientifically sound testing platform. You should have tested the tires on all the same rig. Weight of the vehicle and the wheelbase matters a ton. So a 2 seat short wheelbase and the 4seat king wheelbase offer completely different footprints and surface are to work with.
