That pianissimo! It's to die for! Somebody dubbed you la Sublime in a recent Masnadiere recording. I hope it catches. There have been Divinas, Superbas, Stupendas... But the way the sound rises from your throat and, literally, becomes "sublimated" into a higher spiritual realm, well, does warrant the sobriquet!

every note is perfectly placed. this is a Renata Scotto throwback. the High C#? at the end was everything. it's really beautiful and bright up there while your middle is somewhat weighty and rich sounding. normally this aria bores me but I sat through the whole thing
theodore braden major compliment there! I definitely worked on this aria with Signora Scotto and she coached me on the high C! 😉 Somebody’s gotta carry the torch!
O but than, please, don't do the same mistake as Mme Scotto singing to heavy stuff and ruining the beauty of the voice.PLEASE!

It's been my blessing to have a wonderful example in my mother who was a fine singer, to teach me and guide me all my life, plus a fabulous collection of recordings going back decades from my grandpa! Interestingly, I remember some surgeries I had : *Opera ( & studies ) was a saving Grace…………….oddly, we picked up a textbook from my Wife’s Grandmother’s House & Legacy, some 50 years ago (;STORIES OF THE GREAT OPERAS…, BY ERNEST NEWMAN, pub by GARDEN CITY PUBLISHING, NY, copyright 1930):: a wonderful source! (* actually, one of the few books we kept through downsizing & relocating to HELENA Valley, MT WARSAW Indiana…..).A point also was , I was not a big fan of “ beautiful singing only”, at least compared to , esp Opera BUFFA, seria, etc….. Now, I am fine……..
