- You know when you are at one of those cast parties and you start singing rep that you dream about, but don't yet sing? Or even know all the words to? Well, this is one of those times. My first ever sing-through of this aria. Only a little embarrassing, but lots of fun.
Here is Sempre Libera from Verdi's La Traviata!
I love Lisette. She isn't hype. She is a great singer who is simply marvelous at her craft. Can't stop watching her.

Performers should be like that, fun, easy going.. Nice to see you being honest and be yourself. In many cases, this kind of "homemade" video were banned by the manager, but I like it as it make us feel "closer" to the singer, you, audience..... and something..... ya
She is really incredible! Lisette is so much fun to listen to since she greatly enjoys singing and this feeling comes across so directly and powerfully.

I immediately recognized Andrew Bisantz (the pianist) because he is the artistic director and conductor for the opera company here in Eugene, Oregon. He's a brilliant and wonderful musician and has taught me a lot over the years. What production were you working on with him?

I was at the Feb 19 Traviata where Oropesa was simply outstanding, but I wasn't surprised.
The first time I heard her was at some outdoor July 4th concert in (Madison?) NJ ten or more years ago. She was maybe the fifth singer to perform. I guess the others were okay. As soon as Oropesa opened her mouth I turned to my wife and said, "This is a singer!" (I had to walk around behind the stage to find out who she was.)
