Wow I don’t know how I stumbled upon this channel or even this video, but the interview was so relevant to me. I took art classes from a very young age, studied interior design, fine art, then art history in my undergrad, and finally I completed my MLIS last fall. Now in quarantine with our small children, I have more and more desire to go back to creating and planting that seed of love for art in my children. I’m going to check out Sarah’s book.

Sarah’s response about making a life change to become a better curator really spoke to me at this moment in my life where I am trying to find my own answer to that same question. I really appreciate this interview. Thank you.

Had a chance to finish this wonderful interview. On the library version of Bon Appetit, I found this very challenging because the personality/individual voice that works so well ends up in conflict with sense of depersonalized brand that the institutional marketing wants, as Sarah was describing for museums. Always thinking about this. Thanks for discussing.

Like one of the other commenters, I was also asleep during the time of this stream, but I am thoroughly enjoying it now! I love that you love Mr. Rogers! Fred Rogers is also a huge inspiration to me, and it is always so lovely to come across others who love his messages as much as I do. I’m glad to be your internet neighbor! 143

Sorry (to you and for me) I missed this - I was asleep! Lovely conversation, as expected.
