Just watched this fascinating video on how A24 acquired Sing Sing! As a huge fan of the film, it's great to get a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the movie. Greg Kwedar's passion and dedication to the project shine through. Can't wait to see what he does next!
I actually saw the trailer for "Sing Sing" looks like a great film about the humanity in prison. I've followed your channel since the beginning and i absolutely love the hustle and the interviews just get better and better. PS: if there's any writers who would like to collaborate with me please reply. I am currently writing a mini series that i think its pretty original in its own world
If I could sell my film to any company it would be to a company that cares about people. My biggest dream for my film is for it to be shown across Jamaica for free, to open up conversations about the importance of Jamaicans all over the world and people who love Jamaica investing time as well as money back into the country. Being able to host free screenings and conversations to help with ideas and inspiration for a brighter tomorrow. Don’t know the company who would invest in something like this, because I understand at the end of the day it is a business.
@filmcourage I have a long list of movies that I have found thru this channel that I am slowing catching up with! Thank you for shining light on the ones behind the magic.
So, _Sing Sing_ ... Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (Colman Domingo), Best Supporting Actor (Clarence Maclin), Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Cinematography, and Best Film Editing noms, ASAP.
Love this movie! We also hope it is nominated for many actors. It's an original script that was first inspired by a magazine article. Does that put it in the Best Adapted Screenplay category?
I really wanna get my movie made, but I don't have a script or an exact plot. But what I do have is an idea, and I would love it if I could get Chris Gore, Alex Garland, and Lee Isaac Chung involved in potentially making this movie. I don't have any money, but I really wanna get this film made by a studio and the 3 people I mentioned. I would also be involved in the making of this film, and maybe I would have a cameo scene in the movie. @FilmCourage, I would love it if you could help me out with getting a studio and a crew to make this movie. With that said, here's the film I want to make. A Chronicle (2012) and Carrie (2013) crossover/sequel film: The crossover begins with three new characters: Mike (played by Joe Keery), John (played by Nick Robinson), and Zach (played by Tye Sheridan). They are filming everything as part of a school project for a homemade reality show using different cameras. Mike has a Panasonic HC camcorder, John has a Vivitar 4K HD Digital Video Camera, and Zach has a set of GoPro Cameras. Mike is an AV nerd with school connections, who is also somewhat popular. Zach is the cool and popular quarterback, who is also a nice guy. John is introverted, shy, and desperate for popularity, similar to Andrew from Chronicle. The three friends are invited to a party at a rock quarry in the woods. At the party, they get separated, and John ends up having an anxiety attack and getting bullied. He runs into the woods, with Zach and Mike following him. Eventually, they end up falling into an underground lake with a giant MOGO at the center. They are hit with bolts of energy from the MOGO and pass out, while their cameras capture everything. The next scene shows them waking up in the hospital, having been found unconscious on the side of the road. When they review the footage from their cameras, they realize they have gained powers, including telekinesis. They later accidentally open a portal to Carrie (Chloë Grace Moretz) and Andrew's (Dane DeHaan) universes, bringing them into their universe before they die. Carrie and Andrew wake up in the hospital and meet Mike, John, and Zach. They eventually find Steve unconscious in the center of the quarry. This is just the first part of the crossover idea, and it would be a 2-hour movie.
If you could sell your movie to any company... which one would it be?
Blumhouse
Scott Free
A24, or Miramax back in the day
NEON
I would be open to any company that would fund an animated multi genre series like "Love Death and Robots"...
A24 pitching to you to buy your movie. Goals

I found out the other day that my great great uncle went to Sing Sing and unfortunately passed away there…

@@filmcourage I’m guessing so.
Some really really weird questions in this… just make a movie because you wanna make a movie and the rest will take care of itself.
First!!!
Yes!!!!
