This is one of of those films that needs to be seen by everyone but sadly will be over shadowed by the big blockbusters. Its pretty high on my favorite movies of the year list !

I am the real version of Victor Strand minus the baby snatching. I love Colmon so much, he has such an energy, a silent gravitas when he acts, such power and presence in his words and physicality.

I, too, LOVE Colman Domingo! His portrayal of my pastor, Ralph D. Abernathy, Sr. In Selma, was THE stand-out ONLY sane, sensitive and dead-spot ACCURATE depiction of him, as he usually was in life, that I have ever seen. I tear-up recalling the jailhouse scene of “Ab” quoting scripture to MLK, every time!!
I’d give my eye teeth to see this play! I don’t think I’d care if only 5 of us were in the audience if they’d perform it! Broadway & Hollywood both have awful tack records of smothering, rather than cultivating, the ACTUAL Talents they’ve had already hidden in their pockets, all along. Always in favor of persons only-marginally worth seeing again, but who have got “big names,” & so everyone leaps into ovations at their every staging, they scoop-up all the Tonys, and deliver entirely forgettable performances.
I’ve only seen a rare 3 or 4 films featuring Mr. Domingo. But I love every single one of them & wonder every time how he summons forth his muse?! How he stays so understated and yet so believable, inhabiting his characters!
Long Life to the Play. And to the Program at Sing-Sing. (Personally, I think Shakespeare is the Reason for its success, and the Cure. But if Colman Domingo visited there, he’d have had a similar effect.) 🎭

Why is it that the actor communicates the story ideas better than the director?
    Ps.
This would've been a FAR MORE impactful documentary.

Many of us will not be supporting this movie. There are agendas at play that don't align with many of us, and that agenda is masked in the movie's Trailer, but occurs in the full movie.
