If you could use smaller shavings, or iron filings....then let the resin cure in the presence of a very strong magnetic field, so that the shavings set up in the pattern of the magnetic field, there are some pretty cool projects you could make from that blank...

I have this really beautiful stone. It's black with what looks like screw or turret shells sort of cut in half through out it. Swarf projects always remind me of that lovely stone. The gold gave it a stranger look and I really liked it.

Before you cut the top and bottom off it looked like a really cool cremation urn. The end result looks like a really metal candied Apple lol

That's actually a casing from a blank not a bullet
Blanks and bullets usually use the same casing though,don't they?
I think I would have put the casing pointed down, so that it flared outward at the top. Easier handling as well. Great job though!

I wonder how that metal would shine if you put a light in the next creation you use it with
I'm a theatre lighting technician and I've helped make illuminated props. If it's lit from inside, the metal won't shine. It'll block light making some interesting shadows depending on the density of the swarf in the mixture. The more space between the bits, the more light comes through.

I think something would look cool if you made something like this using the "swarf" (i dont know if thats how its spelt) but made with all the colours of the rainbow and then hollow enough that light can shine through!!! Just an option 😁
Maybe use it to have a light shine through and a pump to make a water fountain? Thats just off the top of my head but you can obviously do whatever you want. 😃

Those are shell casings without the bullets, so you can just tell people that lol.
The black and gold is always a great color combo! Too bad the lid doesn’t really have any shavings in it but the choice of the casing as the finial is perfect!

To be completely honest, I've never really thought too highly of your projects. I find myself constantly disagreeing with your taste in projects and methods, but with that said, I watch all of your videos because you're quite entertaining and I do enjoy watching you make these things. I’m one of those who aren’t thrilled with the look of the bullet but the metal give the resin a scroll-like effect. Looks like it’s painted with silver metallic paint. I love it ✌️💚

wouldn't it be wise to redip that in a clear resin, and a thin coat over the sharpness? SO it is safe to enjoy and touch?
JadeBlackWolf once it’s been sanded and polished the sharpness is gone. It’s just sharp when he is working it.
A giant murder pen to compliment the giant pencil would be funky.
It's not a bullet, the bullet is the projectile part. That is the casing/brass, a fired blank casing to be specific. But I'm sure those that get their nickers in a wad about this stuff don't know nor care.

Great vid nick.! I do wonder could you make something funky with the white shavings you get from the resin when turning your projects and some coloured resin .
I think the issue with putting resin shavings in resin is that it kinda just blends into the coloured resin and doesn't show up in funky patterns =(

Pretty cool pot there Nick, hey if you haven't already used those casings and plan on turning them in that project, Anneal them first, they are ungodly hard, and get hot while turning or drilling, they will melt through the resin, annealing softens them, then you'll need to tumble or buff the color back,
