      Absolutely love it! A little thing I think could make it even better would be like have a few figurines, maybe in hazmats trying to deal with the situation cuz ya know this is supposed to portray some kind of experiment gone wrong. Maybe some corpses and like guys trying to fight the kraken with flamethrowers or something, but that’s just my 2 cents, still absolutely love it tho, good work

    Holy cow the reveal at the end. Huge kudos for how you've been adding LEDs recently in your builds, you're definitely right that it takes it to the next level and Neil I think you're one of the best on TH-cam at doing that, adding lots of wow without killing the immersion or scale effect.

    I really like the look of all the panels put together in a big section like you did for the back wall, really gives a sense of industrial scale that's missing from most builds using these kits. I also like the knowledge about how an industrial setup would work, makes it easier to decide what different elements should be coloured and makes it more realistic.

    • @ThatRobHuman
      @ThatRobHuman 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RealTerrainHobbies I mean, you say that, but don't let anyone fool you: it's always a game of horseshoes no matter what. I've probably only had the "perfect" amount of resin for a pour about 5% of the time :P

    • @chriswebb9375
      @chriswebb9375 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ThatRobHuman I may be telling you something you already know but if you want to calculate the volume of an irregular shape (and dont want to get it wet) then dry rice works well, measure its volume (pour it from a measuring jug) as you fill up the space and then it is big enough to easily clear out before you pour your resin. Wont be perfect as it doesnt pack exactly identically every time but will get you closer than pure guess work!

    • @ThatRobHuman
      @ThatRobHuman 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chriswebb9375 I have used that trick and it is heckin handy, for sure. More often than not in doing a bunch of little pours, though, which sadly it doesn't do as well on. still good advice right there. :)

    Hi Neil, I love your videos! This project looks great. I see you're using the airbrush, that's an awesome tool. I did a lot of airbrushing. Just a little tip, to prevent the airhose from pulling on the airbrush, just wrap it around your forearm once (hose goes from inside the wrist over the forearm to your elbow.) this will also prevent the airbrush from falling when you accidentally step in the hose.

    A tip for future I-beam construction: joints are usually braced by gusset plates. For beams where you can keep the flanges in the same plane, the plates are thick sheets of metal bolted to the outer surface of the flanges. When the flanges have to be perpendicular, the plates are basically heavy chunks of angle iron. In both cases, they make construction easier and give you a strong frame.

    Looks great! Tip if anyone wants to start airbrush; Don't start with the 20$ ones. Their quality is so hit or miss that you never know if problems when spraying are from your inexperience or just shoddy machining. One 20$ airbrush might work fine while another will constantly splatter and clog or leak etc no matter how well you mix paint. That makes it harder to troubleshoot what goes wrong as a beginner.
