Ohh, and that's another thing I realize, which makes me even angrier. Thanks For all your hardwork! Never miss a video or stream of yours! This duel was the highlight for sure! But i really enjoy the slice of life parts! Keep up the good work ❤❤❤❤
I was sooooo bummed they left all of this out. I was really looking forward to seeing this animated cuz from what I remember rudeus genuinely thought he would lose to Luke in a sword battle and when they started their duel he had the realization of how far he’s come. When he realized how slow Luke seemed to be moving compared to characters like ruijerd, ghislaine, eris, and Paul
this is that ''wait a minute, im him'' kind pf moment. but honestly if anything else it was impressive and coragus of Luke to initiate the dual knowing the calibur of Rudeus was, just to see what lenghts he would go to for Sylphiie.
Rudeus’ stone sword weighed way more than ordinary sword. It’s more club looking like sword. But that’s the point in his training. He using heavy sword, to achieve performance as with ordinary sword. And when he takes ordinary sword his performance jumps to another level. If he used ordinary sword, against Luke, he would end up without his hand, even without using demon eye. Unfortunately Rudeus didn’t meet normal teacher of swordsmanship in his early life. They were all muscle heads. Except Ruijerd, maybe, not sure.
@@DellikkilleD they are. And I agree, that he had a lot of education. But how do they explain some movements to him? *swoosh* *swing**hiya* etc. Eris somehow understands this type of language. But he didn’t.
@@vichav3167 fair, I assume because he isnt a swordsman? He doesnt have te ability to do the body magic swordsmen use. He has all the training, but nearly none of the natural talent, likely because he understands magic in an entirely differnt way then those born here do.

Incantations for this type of magic don't exist, and you must use it without incantation.
They definitely are missing a lot of important stuff in the animation. The part in this episode where Badigadi interrupts was much funnier in the novel. I was surprised they did not capture that very well in the animation, or explain the reason behind it.
Despite not having one, Rudy is used to fighting opponents using battle aura, and that's something you need to be an advanced swordsman. Being intermidiete means Luke is just a human with good technique and gear.
Luke's a pretty good guy, he's just genetically a fu-kboi, given that he's Asuran nobility and was raised that way. He's a real bro to Sylphie. As for Luke's stats and skills, there's no way Rudy, who trained with Paul, Ghislaine, Ruijerd and Eris, all of whom were way out of Luke's league, was going to have any problems. Even with all of Luke's PTW gear.
@@AreYouFNQRAZIII dislike Luke for being destined to smash Eris in the timeline unadulterated by the Displacement Incident. Makes self inserting feel like getting cucked, not that it’s a great idea to self insert with a character who owns a secret stolen pantsu shrine, but ima do it anyway.
I felt like Rudy did at the end of that duel. I slowly realized he only seemed like a weak swordman because he trained with the best. Then I felt dread for him. As if he'd have to shoulder the whole rebellion based on his strenght alone.
I think that's what Ariel will count on. Given how strong Rudy really is if he uses his magic there won't be many people on theother side that could stop him. I assume that thats also why Ariel pushed Sylphie to win Rudy over. Of course she wanted to help Slyphie, because she is important for her, but i guess for Ariel it was more importan to get Rudy on her side as a really strong fighter for the upcoming succession wars. Maybe she hopes that she couldd win over the Thrones without fighting because Rudy is that intimidating that no one wants to fight him. Just like all the guys who wanted to marry Linia and Pursena chickened out after Rudy defeated Badigadi.
@@sirlorddoctormajorphd3016 - I remember watching a TH-cam video years ago where someone broke down how strong Krillin is. Basically they concluded that while Goku is a Galatic threat, Krillin still has the power to destroy our sun/solar system.
It's basically the first time he starts to grasp the role he will play in the future. He falls into that role of trying to shape a better world for the people around him. Which informs the direction the story heads in.
What also is missed is the comparison to basically a warrior princess. She herself is probably as a schoolgirl within the top 0.01% of the population combat wise, that is the level Luke is at
I saw comments say that "the was to show the rudeus can protect sylphy" and that reminds me of oldeus and now i crying in my bed thinking about the diary
Pretty cool Its always interesting to see stuff like this, because one must remember, even though from our perception, it seemed like the equivalent of a rock paper scissors match Each movement, every moment, was something to think about and reflect upon for rudey, time would have moved MUCH slower for him This wasnt just a mindless duel, rudey would have come out of this fight a MUCH stronger person, just for the fact that he now realises how strong he is in comparison to someone like luke, knowledge like that can go a long way, not only for skill, but for confidence in that skill, allowing him to soar to even greater heights e.g. hes stronger than someone like luke, who in this world is at a pretty far point, and he was fodder to me, meaning i can soar higher than i can even imagine A nice moment for development for both characters and story Peak!
I think Rudeus stays humble because of what happened in his previous life. He had the mindset that he was better than everyone else leading to his severe bullying and wasting of 2 decades of his life.
I wish you'd make cut content for the new isekai animes that started recently, the spring releases. I want to know more about Re-monster but I don't have the time to read manga or lightnovels anymore with piles on new projects with half the time needed to complete them.
Liked and subbed my guy. Anime only watcher...yeah this moment was completely lost and that's a shame. Me and a couple friends watched it together and were just like 'lol super easy like what' and with no moment to really stop and realize what that ment, or even how strong Luke is like at all. Great video
Orsted>Ruijerd>Ghislaine>Paul>Luke On his best day Luke is still a ep 1 Paul victim it's nice that he even tried to fight Rudy but people seem to forget Rudy has been training with swords under some of the best in the world since he was a little kid
@@haziq12ish It was Stated multiple times by Rudy and Eris when they traveled with him that he was stronger than her, and iirc, the Author even stated Ruijerd is.
I had pictured this fight way more technical and strategical from rudy than was shown in the anime which just felt like a strength brawl, sadly they can't keep the quality with the first season but I pictured it first person as rudy NOT using the demon eye on him, to emphasise how easy it is.
In the manga it is clearly shown it isn't power, but speed and technique that Rudy is a million times better at. He literally dodges with the least amount of movement necessary, hits his hand with a simple strike, and then easily kicks his leg to make him fall over all in the span of a second. Rudy isn't that much faster or stronger than Luke, but what he does have is technique literally beaten into him by some of the strongest sword fighters in the world and, even more important, he has A LOT of experience unlike most people his age. It isn't shown that well in the anime, but the manga does a really good job of portraying it.
This is basically how they adapted alMushoku Fights though even in season 1, Like they never really went out to fully explain and just show you the fights and in a very quick fashion. That is why "battle aura" and a lot of swordfighting lore got cut in season 1. So what you talking about??? Like they adapted this fight with less details getting cut and is easily more understandable even without when the monologue and contexts that got left out compare to a lot of fights in season 1. Also again rye Luke fight never really went down to be actually technical or strategically of Rudy's part and if you watched the video it basically explains how "easy" thus was for Rudeus that he did not really need any strategy and he basically just use a "very basic technique" so ithe figh did not even went too technical either. So what you on about?? Like the anime basically just adapted what the actual fight look like without all the monologue and fluff.
Rudy was expecting at least Saint level swordsmanship from him. He's a princess's personal bodyguard, after all. He was expecting someone who was the fighter equivalent of Silphy, possibly even able do that light-speed attack Gislaine used to delete those goons back in the first season. What he got was... not that.
This is kind of videos why I love this channel. The duel is just a small part of the episode but so important you need to read it on the manga or LN to appreciate it. Thank you AN!
I've been patiently anticipating this video, When I first watched this episode I was thinking the same thing rudeus was that he would lose I had no idea how powerful Luke was but I had a good feeling he was a mid - high lvl swordsman because of his position and lineage But to re learn just how insanely strong Ruijerd and Eris actually are and that they're training really helped Rudy despite how weak Rudy looked up again them was pretty insane Rudy not having battle reinforcement is still a nerf for him but going forward I can see how his sword skills can help him
@@morlyn-7859 I completely agree with there, Rudeus was supposed to be pretty lacking in knowledge about magic even after Roxy's mentorships They did a good job at showing his way of thinking and how he uses magic while traveling the demon continent but once he got to the school he just shocked everyone and had no real competition Zanoba can't use magic well The beast girls hardly ever use it Cliff should be very capable and should be Rudy's rival Sylphie just doesn't have the knowledge and mindset Rudy has to make her magic stronger
While the anime did cut a lot, I will say that I understood almost everything here from watching the scene, which I think tells a lot of the attention of detail they had in the adaptation. I've noticed that with a lot of "cut content" videos, the anime always has subtle hints that DO allow you to understand what was cut, even if it isn't explicitly shown, and as a viwer who likes to pay a lot of attention and carefully analyze the characters, that feels incredibly rewarding to me.
I was waiting for this season the most heart breaking one of all. Trust me I've also read the LN and tears won't stay in your eyes it will flow like a river.
but we already know this ... they even told rudy why they did this in the anime , i dont seem to understand the reason for making this video . But i appreciate the effort ! you clarified it more guess , maybe im overthinking it again
I think the anime did a good job of telling why rudy won without monologues and explanations. Let me explain how, frist of all this fight/match is the only time where rudy didn't use his foresight. In the past they have shown this with eris, rujired and the beast girls. Second by not having internal monologue of how is going to counter this attack from rudy. The anime showed rudy's attack as done on pure instinct, he doesn't think about it but his body does this instinctively showing us the gap between luke and rudy.
The fight was very good in many levels: -Rudy obtains a better grasp of his own place in the world powerscale. -Luke gets his answer, and together with Ariel, "lend Sylphie to Rudeus". After this, Sylphie loses relevance in Ariel plans, it´s a valuable ally, sure, but every step it's made assuming that she can leave whenever she wants, -Ariel show her determination, and won Rudeus to her side, without noticing it. -It's very cool 😄
Even without this extra content I still loved the fight, it seemed like Luke and Ariel were making sure Rudy was strong enough to protect her no matter what the situation was. They knew he was an incredibly strong mage but they didn’t know how he’d fair if couldn’t use magic.
As promised, here's the cut content for Rudeus vs. Luke!

Man I hate myself for thinking they made Rudeus win the duel against Luke too easily even when he's a mage and Luke an swordman. Rudeus went against Orsted and survived as a kid like damn no wonder he finally gets put against a normal person an wins in a flash. My boy is built different

I love ur videos so much. Every week it feels like having 2 Mushoku tensei episodes
Now we had 3 🎉
this is that ''wait a minute, im him'' kind pf moment. but honestly if anything else it was impressive and coragus of Luke to initiate the dual knowing the calibur of Rudeus was, just to see what lenghts he would go to for Sylphiie.
You couldn't tell in the last season but his training with Eris did pay off. Although Ruedeus will always be a better mage.
Shid. Rudy went up against the dragon god😂. Brother had to start training after getting the donut special.
The gojo special
Lol donut

I will always love and appreciate your cut content videos
Rudeus’ stone sword weighed way more than ordinary sword. It’s more club looking like sword. But that’s the point in his training. He using heavy sword, to achieve performance as with ordinary sword. And when he takes ordinary sword his performance jumps to another level. If he used ordinary sword, against Luke, he would end up without his hand, even without using demon eye.
Unfortunately Rudeus didn’t meet normal teacher of swordsmanship in his early life. They were all muscle heads. Except Ruijerd, maybe, not sure.
his father is a top notch swordsman, and well as ghislane, and Eris. He has a *lot* of swordsman education actually.
@@DellikkilleD it's exactly because no one told him, that aura is the type of magic while he was young, so he cant use it. You see, he can't use healing magic without incantations because he didn't learn it at young age. And body magic is the same. Incantations for this type of magic don't exist, and you must use it without incantation.
@@vichav3167plus he has a soul from another world so he can’t use it if he did learn about it earlier.
They definitely are missing a lot of important stuff in the animation. The part in this episode where Badigadi interrupts was much funnier in the novel. I was surprised they did not capture that very well in the animation, or explain the reason behind it.
I hope they are saving the budget for later at least...
yea in the anime it came off as kinda awkward
@@ShiNijuuAKL4 💀💀💀
Despite not having one, Rudy is used to fighting opponents using battle aura, and that's something you need to be an advanced swordsman.
Being intermidiete means Luke is just a human with good technique and gear.
I really like this channel. please keep doing these types of overviews for mushoku tensei, it's great
thank you i love your vids i keep missing your stream and watching the whole vod 😂😂

Loved that one too! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Bro never stop making content.. honestly just start doing the most popular shows, hop and that wagon and secure your place in anime TH-cam history
Your cut content is great!
Just wait till he gets manipulated by Man-god lmao
Ahhh, you must not be far in the LN, Luke’s a idiot too😂
@@AreYouFNQRAZIII dislike Luke for being destined to smash Eris in the timeline unadulterated by the Displacement Incident. Makes self inserting feel like getting cucked, not that it’s a great idea to self insert with a character who owns a secret stolen pantsu shrine, but ima do it anyway.
this was why i subbed! (literally) Ill be sticking around
I was just watching the last video and saw this just post!
If you’re Krillin and training with Goku everyday you’d think you’re lousy too 😅
@@sirlorddoctormajorphd3016 - I remember watching a TH-cam video years ago where someone broke down how strong Krillin is. Basically they concluded that while Goku is a Galatic threat, Krillin still has the power to destroy our sun/solar system.
I really like Ariel, I think she's a very interesting character, I'd like to see more of her in the future.
anime Ariel is a non-character, LN and partially manga Ariel are the real deal
Even with her ‘wedding gift’ and perverted tendencies? I for sure do.
Ruijerd: I'm going to fight Laplace.
Rudy: Certainty of death... small chance of success...
What are we waiting for.
It's basically the first time he starts to grasp the role he will play in the future. He falls into that role of trying to shape a better world for the people around him. Which informs the direction the story heads in.
Keep it going with this missing content train! Love it when you pick up a series Im enjoying and give me the deeper lore.
What also is missed is the comparison to basically a warrior princess. She herself is probably as a schoolgirl within the top 0.01% of the population combat wise, that is the level Luke is at
Great video, Sam! I'm really happy that my concern was for nothing and that you didn't neem my help with the video.
I saw comments say that "the was to show the rudeus can protect sylphy" and that reminds me of oldeus and now i crying in my bed thinking about the diary
Loving all the cut contents! Keep up the good work!
Pretty cool
Its always interesting to see stuff like this, because one must remember, even though from our perception, it seemed like the equivalent of a rock paper scissors match
Each movement, every moment, was something to think about and reflect upon for rudey, time would have moved MUCH slower for him
This wasnt just a mindless duel, rudey would have come out of this fight a MUCH stronger person, just for the fact that he now realises how strong he is in comparison to someone like luke,
knowledge like that can go a long way, not only for skill, but for confidence in that skill, allowing him to soar to even greater heights
e.g. hes stronger than someone like luke, who in this world is at a pretty far point, and he was fodder to me, meaning i can soar higher than i can even imagine
A nice moment for development for both characters and story
Peak!
Love the Ori music you used in the vid ❤
New person to your channel. Great write up, right on point. Subscribed!
Welcome!
I think Rudeus stays humble because of what happened in his previous life. He had the mindset that he was better than everyone else leading to his severe bullying and wasting of 2 decades of his life.
The only real enemy Rudy really has is himself and his doubts. I'm sure this will continue to plague him in the rest of the series.
I wish you'd make cut content for the new isekai animes that started recently, the spring releases. I want to know more about Re-monster but I don't have the time to read manga or lightnovels anymore with piles on new projects with half the time needed to complete them.
Well all i can say is that they are speeding through that
somehow only now realised, sylphy is much better protected than a princess
i completely forgot they were making new episodes! well now i have an idea of the why lol
Liked and subbed my guy. Anime only watcher...yeah this moment was completely lost and that's a shame. Me and a couple friends watched it together and were just like 'lol super easy like what' and with no moment to really stop and realize what that ment, or even how strong Luke is like at all. Great video
Thx for explaining
Orsted>Ruijerd>Ghislaine>Paul>Luke
On his best day Luke is still a ep 1 Paul victim it's nice that he even tried to fight Rudy but people seem to forget Rudy has been training with swords under some of the best in the world since he was a little kid
Ruijerd is stronger than ghilane?
@@haziq12ish It was Stated multiple times by Rudy and Eris when they traveled with him that he was stronger than her, and iirc, the Author even stated Ruijerd is.
@@haziq12ishruijerd is emperor level while ghislaine is king
wait, gihslaine is stronger than paul?
I had pictured this fight way more technical and strategical from rudy than was shown in the anime which just felt like a strength brawl, sadly they can't keep the quality with the first season but I pictured it first person as rudy NOT using the demon eye on him, to emphasise how easy it is.
he used the eye because he expected luke to be better than him,so he wanted to be sure he didnt die lol
There was no strategy to be had. Luke was just that weak compared to him lol.
Good work as always!
Thanks love this extra video
Luke: If you're a man, you'll understand
Also Luke: demands a swordfight from a mage - a class known for being weak in close quarters combat.
will you do slime cut content??
watching mushoku tensei related videos makes my day
I've been patiently anticipating this video,
When I first watched this episode I was thinking the same thing rudeus was that he would lose
I had no idea how powerful Luke was but I had a good feeling he was a mid - high lvl swordsman because of his position and lineage
But to re learn just how insanely strong Ruijerd and Eris actually are and that they're training really helped Rudy despite how weak Rudy looked up again them was pretty insane
Rudy not having battle reinforcement is still a nerf for him but going forward I can see how his sword skills can help him
@@morlyn-7859 I completely agree with there, Rudeus was supposed to be pretty lacking in knowledge about magic even after Roxy's mentorships
They did a good job at showing his way of thinking and how he uses magic while traveling the demon continent but once he got to the school he just shocked everyone and had no real competition
Zanoba can't use magic well
The beast girls hardly ever use it
Cliff should be very capable and should be Rudy's rival
Sylphie just doesn't have the knowledge and mindset Rudy has to make her magic stronger
aerial the entire time: you're not that guy luke
Hey @AniNews please continue Arifrueta cut content, season 3 has been announced to be in production.
YES SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS!!! Knew I could rely on your channel for reassurance lol.
Great breakdown!
Like always, a banger video
I have no idea why. But I damn near teared up watching this one. What I do know, is I am very impressed!
I do wish they showed why it was Rudy won and just how much training with Eris actually affected him
I like the visual representation of Elden Ring equipment of Luke’s equipment
"It was too big to be called a sword. Massive, thick, heavy, and far too rough. Indeed, it was a heap of raw iron."
I’m new to this channel and I love this series.
It's a shame I can hardly make the livestreams but please keep doing such an amazing job AniNews I love your videos thank you for your work
"so until next time, ciao." never gets old
I was waiting for this season the most heart breaking one of all.
Trust me I've also read the LN and tears won't stay in your eyes it will flow like a river.
Love the new content!
but we already know this ... they even told rudy why they did this in the anime , i dont seem to understand the reason for making this video . But i appreciate the effort ! you clarified it more guess , maybe im overthinking it again
When are you going to do tensei slime cut content
I think the anime did a good job of telling why rudy won without monologues and explanations. Let me explain how, frist of all this fight/match is the only time where rudy didn't use his foresight. In the past they have shown this with eris, rujired and the beast girls. Second by not having internal monologue of how is going to counter this attack from rudy. The anime showed rudy's attack as done on pure instinct, he doesn't think about it but his body does this instinctively showing us the gap between luke and rudy.
Great video!
Yooo you need to cover episode 3 soon...that episode went HARD af
The fight was very good in many levels:
-Rudy obtains a better grasp of his own place in the world powerscale.
-Luke gets his answer, and together with Ariel, "lend Sylphie to Rudeus". After this, Sylphie loses relevance in Ariel plans, it´s a valuable ally, sure, but every step it's made assuming that she can leave whenever she wants,
-Ariel show her determination, and won Rudeus to her side, without noticing it.
-It's very cool 😄
How people wanted subaru vs julius to go down:
Even without this extra content I still loved the fight, it seemed like Luke and Ariel were making sure Rudy was strong enough to protect her no matter what the situation was. They knew he was an incredibly strong mage but they didn’t know how he’d fair if couldn’t use magic.
Omg ariel throne war in the future wokld be insane
Hopefully i dont see spoilers
love your channel ty
Is it mentioned if Luke was not able to use battle aura like Rudy ?
No sir. Nothing like that yet
A fellow ori soundtrack enjoyer. Very awesome!
I can't wait to see how the anime is going to adapt the rest of the LN. I'm really enjoying it.
If memory serves me, in the novel Luke picks up Rudy’s stone sword and is unable to use it because it’s so heavy
I really didnt expect to see a picture of the league of legends swiftness boots in a video about mushoku xD
Thank You for explaination of my favoured unique isekai 😌
Is that Lord Gwyn at 3:38??
I still dont fully understand why him using magic was off the table if they where just testing Rudys capability to protect sylphy.
Can anybody enlighten me what he meant with "the legendary hero without the hero part (iykyk)" at 3:35?
It's like facing lvl 10 warrior that are fully equipped with Super Super Rare lvl 50 build.
