For example there are times when 2 energy hardpoints are provided but you can only add a single weapon - the logic is not clear. Also being omnimechs there are restrictions to what you can add. Lots of mech equipment is hardwired to the chassis. I'm still getting used to the gameplay that is different from the earlier MW5 title and DLCs.

I think you are causing problems by rushing ahead too much. The Orion triggered fine, when I played the mission. Regarding Light and XL engines: Light engines were not invented at the time. Inner Sphere XL engines were used in the star league, lost in the succession wars and only recently rediscovered. They are worse than their clan counterparts.
Have to admit the so-called recon/stealthy mission was silly from my point of view: you can see the enemy mechs, but somehow they cannot see you back. The patrolling mechs are barely 500 to 900 meters away, but you go undetected by sensors though your Star has no particular stealth tech, unless we count ECM, but I know this mission can be done without any ECM. I just mean the mission design was not very credible (though at least you have 40 ton and less Mechs at this point). It is one thing that Battletech (Hairbrained Schemes) does a bit better as lighter mechs have a smaller radar footprint so-to-speak, and even then there is very little incentive to using a Light mech to scout. Anyhow, if I GM a Mechwarrior game, lighter mechs would have a stealth advantage as otherwise it is hard to choose to have one in your Lance/Star.

Damn it Liam....
I'm wondering, it seems like many of the mechs come 1 at a time, would this allow single combat per clan lore for those who want to roleplay? No shade thrown just curious. I'm a li'l nervous, I tend to play videos with other things going on so only half listening but mildly concerned the lore is built around trial of refusal and I may get grumpy hehe (don't want to spoiler anything, I don't remember how much lore Bara has delved into). Anyways it's definitely fun seeing things come to life.
You might shoot your guys less if you assigned them targets
Unlock the whole set and swap the parts you want seperatly ^^
Just figuerd it out today^^
I think you are causing problems by rushing ahead too much. The Orion triggered fine, when I played the mission.
Regarding Light and XL engines: Light engines were not invented at the time. Inner Sphere XL engines were used in the star league, lost in the succession wars and only recently rediscovered. They are worse than their clan counterparts.
Scorpions have a problem with ragdoll. I myself yeeted one with SRMs fire
It's the helicopter upgrade
Liam is gonna turn heel.
Hey brother move your avatar down into the lower right hand corner so we can see all the other information that's right where your head is. Thank you.
Somehow the night mission was different for me. They sent me to a 5th base in the end.
