But seriously, if I can even do it, I captured a set of 15 meteors and put them on my channel in case you want to see some falling right past the full moon. I also got a string of Starlink satellites I zoomed in on, too. You'll see them if you want to look. They're quick because I edited them for time. I got everything videoed from right out my back door, too. That's always nice.
Nice catch at the right place and time. I'm near Brownville and wasn't outside or driving that night so I missed the damn thing. I always miss them, and auroras.

Never thought id check the "seeing northern lights from home" box in my lifetime but that happened this year. And everyone missed the good part once the skies cleared around 2-3 am. They got 5 minutes at 9 pm (granted it was head on at that point) before clouds set in. i dont think they couldve even handled the beauty lol. Truly serene and almost divine. Seen some nice 'xtra shooty' stars over the years toolol meteors with long tails. Never a fireball tho. I always tell ppl, you never will see one if you dont go outside and just look
It's still interesting!! Wife& I often sky-watch. Saw similarly sized/descent coupla years back. The slower fade-out made us question was it real? But nothing else happened, so, we accepted it as real.
It was over a decade ago, but I still recall stepping out my back door to look at the night sky to observe what the weather was like when I suddenly saw a very bright object coming right for my very eyes. It then flashed very quickly, but also very brightly and fairly close by. It was a shooting star coming right towards me. Not a very big one, but not any marshmallow or cornflake thing either. It's the only shooting star I saw I can still recall all these years later, it was that "memorable".
I was talking to a friend of mine in the Lincoln area this morning. He said that he and his wife see an orange fireball in the sky in Lincoln. He says they also see a drone with flashing lights flying in a zig-zag pattern, working it's way along the sky like it was mapping the ground

My vintage camera is a Canon EOS 600-D that's about 14 years old now and it's falling apart a little bit but it was able to zoom in optically in order to capture a decently-long string of Starlink satellites just after being released, then the next day the same set after having been spread out and were flying by me overhead, one by one, mere seconds apart at an ever-increasing higher orbit seen against the starry sky in about as long a string as this here sentence is, minus oxygen🤣 Just before that my old camera was actually able to zoom in on the full moon only to suddenly start seeing 12 meteors falling down right past it during the dead of night, and 3 while the pre-dawn sun was only lightening up the atmosphere and full moon(and the 3 meteors) yet it was still totally darker-than-dark where I was standing here in Portland. "The camera's in better shape than I am" is what I'm saying! I bought it at a pawn shop so who knows what hard knocks it's been put through, or travels it's seen. It's still alive though!

Seen one recently in Ayer Mass. Much closer, but fizzled out a couple of hundred feet from ground.

That's a satellite falling back to earth. All satellites eventually fall back to earth. That was one of them doing just that.
