Thank you so much, Thomas, I’m currently in California celebrating our daughters baby shower and son’s wedding soon. I’ll be back to Asheville in a week. Yes we’re all watching Milton as it’s going to probably wreck some horrible havoc on Central Florida.

Thank you, Nikki, this happens to be an older video that I happen to have hanging around. I’ll have a few more older videos ready to post and the truth be told. I have not painted anything since Helene decided to take a whack at us. I’ll need to get back in the saddle pretty soon if I can.

Thanks so 🧡much Michelle, just want to create amidst the situation
@@LouiseMcKayArt hoping it brings you peace. I know creating things do that for me.
It is so good to see you back. I have been happy to see your posts and know you are ok. I’ve seen lots of storms, but the number of trees across your road was truly shocking! The tree onto your house was damaging, obviously, but so much less so than it could have been. Sadly, I can’t be part of the search effort any longer, but have been trying to help in other ways. If you hear of any specific needs that come up in the future, let us know. Enjoy the wedding and shower. I’m assuming that means you can get out, and that is a good thing!
@@bstanevich hi Beckie, 🧡good to hear from you and happy times to counter the devastation, but roofs can be fixed and now trees are compromised so we’ll have to take more down. The next several videos that I will be posting our older because I have not painted at all since Helene struck us. Don’t know when I’ll get back to it.
Louise it good to see you back. I think their is still lots of things to do outside the comfort zone. Take your time, we can wait. Kirk is comming to Europe and they are aspecting him in the nigth from Wednesday on Thursday in Germany. Don,t know what to think about it.
Thanks🧡hurricane Kirk is going to reach you? No!! I wish you well in preparation, battery powered radio, water, fill the tub, gasoline, food!
Hi Louise, wow this color combination is gorgeous! I'm so glad to see a video from you. The devastation in Ashville is heartbreaking.

Thank you so much, KC penguins. I try to keep my tutorials on point and worthwhile watching with explanations as possible. Appreciate it.🧡
Not my usual color pallet either BUT gorgeous. So glad to hear you are doing well, that was a nasty storm! We live on a lake in east Tn that came way up but not far enough to do any harm. Feel horrible for FL as another hurricane advances. Hope all goes will getting to shower and wedding! Take care and thanks for all your beautiful art, advice and comforting voice!
Thanks so much and not my typical colors either. Praying for Florida🙏🏻🧡
Please know that you're in my prayers. Take great care.
Awe Jerelyn🧡thank you so much😘so much appreciated !!!!!
This turned out so beautiful and I’m happy you have something to look forward to. We’re in the path of Milton and we were supposed to go to Maryland to my stepson‘s wedding but we’re not we’re heading over to the other side of Florida for about two or three days and then coming home to assess the damage for everyone for everyone I hope this all gets better
Awe Gerri that’s awful, maybe you still can just get to Maryland and have a friend or neighbor keep an eye on your house and let you know what’s going on. Maybe you have somebody who’s a fireman or policeman that can keep track of things, but you probably should get out of there if you can.
@@LouiseMcKayArt I would do that, but my husband doesn’t want to plus we have a dog. I’m getting tired of these storms.
@@gerripeter484 I can understand FL gets it every fall
Louise, so very thankful you and yours' are ok and doing good. It will take a good long while, for things to even seem normal, but I have hope and good thoughts coming to you's, and look forward to any little video you can share, but please, spend as much time as you can with your family, as making good memories are oh, so helpful in such stressful times..Wishing you all the best, and missing you! Be safe 🤗☺❤
Thank you so much, Jude, it was hard to leave though because I know my neighbors were in good hands, but extra hands is always helpful. I know things have improved a lot, and I’m getting messages that things are getting better still which is wonderful. It’s a little crazy going from the devastation of Asheville on that low side to the high side of baby showers and weddings! Life is a roller coaster, just got a hold on for the ride, enjoying the good and taking strength from the bad!
@@LouiseMcKayArt I know when you feel what you just stated, that a process of healing is beginning...so keep healing because when you return, you will need to remember the feelings of the good memories to help get over all you will be going back into. Just know I you need anything I could help with, just let me know. Blessings to all, and load up on the "good stuff" especially "HUGS" ... and here's one for you right now ... Hope you felt it ☺Stay safe....it will get better 🌄

Another beautiful creation! I know you have the well, but do you have enough food? Have you had any word or contact with officials? I hope you can get to any supplies if you need them!! 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you Erica, we had/have plenty of food. As I mentioned in the video, I’m actually in California currently for our daughters, baby shower and son’s wedding. We still don’t have power, but at least we left this street at least our part of the road was clear and neighbors are telling me that trucks are going through to fully clear the road, so the power company can come in and restore all the powerlines that has fallen or snapped.
Louise, yes, right, so glad you are there for the baby shower! And then your son's wedding! Great news about your road and the clean-up! Love you, friend! 😘

So glad you are safe. Been worried for you. Hope you enjoy your time with your family.
Can you tell me if you use a machine to get rid of bubbles in your pillow. I seem to remember from a video a while back that you did but I might be mistaken. Having terrible trouble with the wretched bubbles spoiling my pieces. Thanks.
Thank you we will. I use a vacuum pump to remove the bubbles and some of the paint that is not cooperating. I have it listed in my description. I believe it’s calledBAC-ENG AND I GOT IT OFF AMAZON, BUT I SHOULD HAVE IT LISTED AND DESCRIPTION.
@@LouiseMcKayArt many thanks Louise thats a great help.
Just had a look and they are quite expensive. Do they really get rid of all the bubbles and do you find it worth the money. Thanks.
@@ElizabethPress-o6t for me, yes. I think mine was about $140. I reached the point of ultimate frustration, where I had created on several occasions really beautiful pieces that as I stretch them out, the bubbles came up and I ended up having to pour over them and destroy, what I had. When I used it, I could not believe all of the air bubbles that are percolated out. That is my experience, I also understand people use it for resin, which I really haven’t used it for that yet.
@@LouiseMcKayArt I agree I am so frustrated like you as it’s happening so much lately. Lovely pieces that then are ruined by all the white dots!!! I think I will have to invest. Thanks for your prompt reply. I appreciate it. 🥰
Beautiful as always. Love those colors. When you move the lazy Susan to get the paint on a certain side to move more, do you "cheat" towards that side or away?❤
Thank you and yes, cheat to the side you want the paint to go
@@LouiseMcKayArt thank you.
I have a question. HOw do you get dark colors like Van Dyke Brown for instance to stay a dark color after mixing with the pouring medium? I ended up with a pretty beige. DO you use a darker Glidden/Valspar for the pouring medium?
If your colors are turning light or pastel, then you have the wrong paint for the pouring medium, it must have titanium white in it, which you don’t want. You MUST use a base 3 or base paint as the start of your pouring medium. Base three or C means the paint does not have any color additive to it. It is only a medium at this point you then add your color to. I’m currently using Valspar 833124.
@@LouiseMcKayArt You are right! I accidently bought base 1....back to Lowes I go!
@@katefandetti4121 go by the # 833124
Quick question. I’m new to this and my pillow always rises and covers my colors. Any suggestions how to fix this or why it’s happening?
Your pillow may be too thin, the consistency should be about a four second trace when drizzled off the stick, your paints should be about a 2 sec trace when drizzled off the stick. I think you need to check your consistencies. Your pillow should be thickest, your paint second thickest in your cell activator the thinnest
@@LouiseMcKayArtthank you
