    I own a 2016 Accord Sport, which is a great looking body style and I love it. The Camry is better looking than the latest Accord now. Honda really screwed up changing the body style, making it look very mundane on the road. Honda needs to reverse course and add style and aggression and more HP to the next version. 2025 Winner: Camry.

It does just look like an iPad put on the dash as an afterthought. @RS-qz6by 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@rickjohansson4257 I got my LE w/ convenience for 29k OTD. A pretty great discount. The battery replacement likely will not happen until 15 years. And to alleviate any worries, I have the standard 10 year hybrid battery warranty. It's also not that expensive to have the battery replaced, about a couple thousand, way less to have it fixed/reconditioned. The new non hybrid Honda Accord is about 30k.

    • @alexanderg117
      @alexanderg117 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@kobbycrentsil2859- I own an ES300h and, while I really enjoy driving the car, it handles, sounds, behaves, and FEELS like an Avalon. Like, nearly identical. Slightly softer leather, a db or two quieter perhaps, but otherwise nearly identical. The only difference that’s readily apparent is that the Toyota is built in the USA, while the Lexus was made in Japan. Thus, the resale and trade-in prices is SLIGHTLY higher with the Lexus. The maintenance and repair costs are ALSO slightly higher, unfortunately, making these two big, heavy sedans nearly a wash in almost every way.
      In short, drive whichever one you like more. The Lexus is slightly quieter, smoother, and has a slight edge because of the badge, “L” perhaps, but I am currently leaning BACK to the Toyota because they are sportier, handle better, and look more aggressive in some respects. 😊 The quality differs is truly negligible at this point (since 2006, at least). The TINY differences no longer justify the fairly significant price difference (IMHO).

    Zonks for me: the rear part mostly. I really do not like the shape of these taillights. There are other things but they are minor; mismatch on color on letters in the back, the center piece of the steering looks just bad. Then there is the use of cloth in lots of parts of the interior. And last but not least, i would prefer shinier wheels; something closer to metallic and not completely black as it is now.

    Super smart of Toyota to put a piece of plastic where a timer window used to be on the c pillar. That window was notorious for getting broken when thieves broke into the cars. Just wish it would be flat matte black instead of gloss black.

    My 2021 Nissan Sentra SR goes back in Sept. Always like the SE Camry, but some of the new design elements I don’t love as much as previous gen. The Model 3 gets the 7500 credit while these camrys do not. That is a big deal to me as well. Had they gone and done a camry plugin hybrid with 0-60 in 5 seconds then Id be looking at camry a little harder. I miss my TRD but the model 3 performance is just a much better car to me.

    • @MurseTech64
      @MurseTech64 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@helderperez1474 That's what these people don't understand. If you change at home, the Model 3 is a no brainer. The performance destroys the Accord and Camry. People always worry about the outliers and act like they are doing 700 miles a day. And charging to 80% is not that long on a Supercharger . Otherwise, the rest of the time you wake up with a full charge.

    I used to be a sedan guy. Always wanted to get a Camry. But after I had my 2005 Matrix, I learned that if you can only have one vehicle, a hatch that you can open, fold down the rear seats and slide large cargo in the back, makes a sedan worthless.
    Sure I'd get a Camry/ES 350 if I was to buy a third car. My second car would be something like a Mazda MX-5 or Lexus RC F.

If you told me 25 years ago a camry would look like this, I'd have thought you came from the future, and I would be correct :) I'd have thought given the pedigree, the accord would have went this direction and the camry would have went more the way of today's accord.

I w uoukd hate it as a CVT but you wont look awful driving it while the trans makes awful sounds . Its slow and when going for quick acceleration of which 7 seconds is enough to get moving and droning and buzzing loudly when you ask it to the MPGS and price with the very handsome looks balnces it out . Looks cool even if it isnt .if you cant be cool you can look pretty cool IMO .

    It looks better! But it is too heavy and the gas mileage is not that great. For a small engine and combined electric power, you would think the mileage would be higher than 44 on the hwy. My 2005 Acura TL with a powerful 6 cyl gets 32 on the highway. Sometimes more. Plus, you would think with electric power and gas motor it would be faster than 7 sec through the 1/4mile. So, its not that quick. Another issue is with all that "double technology" in the power train, Repairs will cost you! The older Camry was more simple. And the CVT transmission is not very stimulating to me. I like the new looks, but I think there are better deals out there.

Toyota probably has better power trains but the passenger compartments have an “Everyman” vibe of basic mass production. You have to upgrade to Lexus and they’re a lot of 💰.
