I am going to be building my organic pool this summer, can't wait to implement your ideas into it. I wish more people in the USA did these

That's a good idea. Would be great to grow mint.

Another Classic DPB film. Informative, a chuckle, and a sharp boiler suit. 👍

My husband and I are going to attempt to turn a large swimming pool into a pond. We will be making several floating planters! I do have a question about your swimming pond: do you have any trouble with stinging back swimmers, or what is sometimes called water wasps?

I know this is late, but if you have them, consider introducing fish that will eat them.

Fish will ruin the pond if you're using David's design. He discusses this in a handful of his videos. @@burgeryoufoundbehindthegrill

Started with some not as attractive little floating islands out of styrofoam etc..testing various plants…two are strawberries. Let’s see those slugs swim out to this! Ha!! What amazes me is how huge the root systems are becoming…and the algae they collect along with other floaties. Like a floating nutrient vacuum cleaner! The plants look great so far!

Hello ! What about the pollution it can generate ? (no- food grade microplastics it can release into your waters..."isocyanostuff" is with cyanure for example.. Some others are with bisphenol wich is a endocrinal perturbator...) Why not doing it with empty water bottles (still plastic, but food grade and protected from water movement, ice and sun..) encaged in a wooden box for example ? Or joining plenty of corks together as a kind of board ?
    Cheers !

Hello I love you and your channel! Thank you for all your wisdom! Can I have a natural pool where it snows and gets 0° sometimes -10? I worry about the plants and freezing ruining pipes. I live in northern Utah and desperately want to get away from chlorine! Thank you!

So do you know any good safe cleaning products for pools that are okay for turtles. We want to make our pool a natural pool eventually but don't even know where to start. We ignored it for so long and so many turtles found there way in the pool idk what to do 😭 like we atleast got 7 in there and we need to get rid of all the leaves and stuff on the bottom but don't want to hurt the turtles

I don’t think turtles are safe as they harbor dangerous bacteria.
