Recently took the DDM4 armorer course at the plant. Learning about the cold hammer forge process was one of the highlights of the plant tour for me. DD is an amazing company.
A lightweight 18” would be awesome as well.
Also a shame that you don't make a 20" CHF 5.56 barrel... That would be awesome...
You will have to settle for a FN barrel.

DD makes the best hammer forged barrels on the market..I use incremental head space gauges, function gauges that measures the chamber and throat and use a bore scope to see the actual bore.. When dimpling the DD barrel for the gas block, the steel was incredibly strong which shows the steel is very good compared to others..DD always passes with flying colors, unlike the other manufactures HF barrels I have tested..
What is the expected barrel life of a DD5V3?
Hello, I have the DDV11 Pro. I want to convert it into a 16 inch barrel. Is this something you guys can do for me or do you sell a barrel to swap it out to?

Daniel Defense arguable has the best warranty/customer service in the industry. DD stands behind their products..

"Best" is not synonymous with "necessary". It's not likely that anyone not in a combat theatre for years at a time will surpass the limits and tolerances of their firearms without excessive weekly use and lack of maintenance. DD might be the best you can get, but you probably don't need the best. It is hard to knowingly purchase something lower quality, but that doesn't make it a bad purchase. It's not often the case with firearms that there is a clear "best" option.

@@terryderush2657 then you didn't get the context of the comment. You don't need one, that's why. You can get something good enough for you and your needs for less money. They're isn't any sort of reason along the lines of "known to blow up", "poor quality control", "not worth the money", etc. Don't know what you're looking for in a response, but there isn't really anything bad to say.
I saw a video on sotar where you guys drilled the gas port in the completely wrong spot. How does that happen in such a “quality qa process”? I’d buy bcm over you guys anyways, because they don’t arm the people who want to take our rights away
I had a BCM HFB barrel that was awful..It obviously missed the QC test.. They did replace it pronto..The lands and grooves were chewed up and the chrome was not applied correctly..The DD HF barrels I have used have harder steel (much harder steel to dimple) have smoother bores/ chambers and have better chrome lining than any of my BCM of FN HF barrels..QC issues can happen with any manufacturer, but every one of my DD HF barrels have passed my function gauge, head space gauges, gas port alignment test and have incredibly smooth chambers and bores..They are my go to AR service rifle barrels..
Colt has all the data about the M4. Have you ever wonder why they never moved to cold hammer forged and what is the real purpose of cold hammer forged?,do u research and stop repeating what stupid TH-camrs said ,if u don’t believe see what happens to a dd test on full auto vs aero pre, the aero run more then a dd,
