I suppose ETH tried to be diplomatic to enhance Jadon Sancho's resale value by giving a positive vibe. The manager is characteristically known to sometimes say yes when he means no! Jadon Sancho is surplus to requirement at Man U and we do need to make him salable as much as possible!
I agree 100% with Tony, I don't think Sancho's number 1 passion is football, he's already shown that over a number of years and he will not change. I think he thinks he can coast along, do a few tricks and that will be good enough for 1st team football. He disrespected the manager and the club when they were running out of players and needed any body they could get on the pitch and he was sat at home on 300k a week for 3 months basically sticking 2 fingers up to the manager, his team mates and most importantly the fans. Get rid because he will be a negative influence on the squad in what is supposed to be a new era with new standards

ETH will put Sancho to multiple (behavioral) tests during this transfer window. He can pass without complaining or fail in front of the new hierarchy. He’s on probation right now
Sancho and Rashford need full backs who constantly overlap and Sancho is better on the left. I think our formation and lack of decent full backs who overlap is a big problem for players like sancho and rashford.
I think the reason he stays is due to no one buying him (price tag and wages) and the transfer window seems to be more focused on defence and potentially defensive midfielders, likely will be gone in the future

Lets face it, this Sancho situation is just another symptom being treated from the larger illnesses. The larger illness was the club being ran with a chronic case of no self respect thanks to the Glazer ownership. I have faith this Sancho situation is being methodically dealt with by people who care and want successful results, with this situation along with everywhere else. But, in hindsight, the lesson is there: if you don't treat yourself with respect, nobody else will. That sums up the post Fergie era.

Because of Amortisation, we need £30m for Sancho to break even on the books. Anything less will affect this year's transfer budget and teams are trying to get him on the cheap. If we don't get £30m, Sancho will stay for at least one more season. This is a Glazer legacy that Ineos are stuck with.
I've always thought one would be enough but it would be nice to have De ligt and Branthwaite and get rid of Lindelof and Maguire. Have De Ligt and Branthwaite as our cb pairing with Martinez in cdm.
