Rashford has been better tracking back and defending thus far but going forward he doesn’t look a threat at all. The problem is I don’t see him fighting for a spot. If he’s benched I see him even less effective coming on as a sub. He just doesn’t have that fight in him. Shame.

Mason Mount can still play a useful role in United. He can alternate with Amad at the right forward position. Especially when we need more pressing & physical presence there. He can also take over Bruno’s central attacking midfield position when he needs a rest, injured or suspended. Double false nine clearly shows us we always don’t have someone arriving into penalty box quickly ready to put a final touch to an assist. We should play with a centre forward (say Zirksee now), and free up Bruno to play his best position, free roving central attacking midfield, a 10. In some games where Mainoo needs a rest in second half, Bruno can come deeper, and let Mount (or even Eriksen) take over as 10.
As for McTominay, I agree we should keep him as a utility squad player. He can play centre back (if the need arise), defensive midfield late in games when we try to keep scoreline or even a false 9, maybe even a centre forward (with some personalised coaching). Though he’s definitely not a progressive midfielder. He’s actually a natural false 9, like Dele Ali.
As for Rashford, let Garnacho and him challenge for the left forward position. For the last 2 games, we can tell Garnacho is rusty and needs games quickly to boost up his match fitness, play him there now since Rashford is not contributing now. Let him realised he’s not a super star and he needs to contribute , just like everyone else to deserve a place in the first eleven.

The real question, I think, is what is our best team and why have we followed rugby by making wholesale changes to the on field team at 60/80 minutes? If the game United plays is too exhausting for players to see out 90 minutes then ten Haag needs to review his master plan. It seems to me that ten Haags plan requires 11 all rounders, attackers who defend, defenders who attack, goalkeepers who can play in midfield. That alone means that your subs will be like for like, and if you start with your best 11, how will subs help?

This game could serve as a pivotal moment for Ten Hag, both in terms of securing his position and setting the tone for the rest of the season. A loss could mean that he's just a couple of bad results away from potentially losing his job

His position for the corner was covering the late run to the back post, when the second ball came in he went to close the cross. The spare players at the back post were the responsibility of DeLit and Scot. DeLit was marking no one. He should have pushed Scot over one.

I think we beat Liverpool on Sunday. On Marcus Rashford, I wouldn’t start him for the time being. Start Amad and Garnacho for the next few games and potentially use Marcus coming off the bench

We should have cashed in for Marcus because his stats are just not consistent, he's had a couple of good seasons but for most he just treads water.
Thought we passed the ball better again, but it's that final third where we're not finishing chances off.

I watched the game and Rashford was running and chasing down opponents. He maybe was complaining some but he was also making runs that he didn’t get service for and the service he did get was overplayed or missed.
I thought Bruno was poor. I’d love to see our wingers take people on rather than always cutting in.

McTominay obviously isnt going to be part of a Treble winning squad. But Most people see him as a good squad player. He is the opposite of players like Sancho.
So the standard is being part of a treple winning team, if so start by getting rid of the manager.
You've got to blame Woodward et al for giving players stupid contracts. I can imagine Rashford has a clause for him to play if he is fit. Other players also sell on clauses. No wonder we can't get rid of them. I bet we have to pay Sancho a wedge too if we ever get shot of him.
McTominay is not a world class midfielder - but in an area of the team where we are weak he is not the one we should be selling. If his ability is in doubt his willingness to play for the shirt is not. If Rashford had McTominay's attitude we would have a world class player on our hands - but he doesn't. And Rashford in unsellable because of his ridiculous wages. Along with Maguire he must not start against Liverpool. Maybe he could discover a role as an impact sub?

Raheem has won titles and an excellent career. Some fans mocking him are unrespectful. The club also has disrespected Jadon by not knowing how to deal with him. I am sure Sir Alex will had Jadon played for the shirt. Currently, the club only has Marcus as an experience wide forward. Adding Raheem would be a bonus. Do not tell me that Amad, Garnacho, and Anthony will provide us with important magics and goals.
I can't get past Rashford reaching the peaks to get his contract, and once achieved, , does not play to those levels again. He is expired. Mount is too delicate. Man up Mount!
Surely there are some wee lads in the youth team raring to get in the 1st team. Put 1 of them on for 1st half, if they make no impact then throw on rashford or anthony.
