omg I was literally 10 years old being a little girl watching chef John cook on yt when I was a kid…. I’m 25 now. it’s so nostalgic coming back to the channel and hearing his smooth cool voice again. 🥹💕thank you chef John for the memories! ✨
I remember purchasing a cast aluminum Caldero when I was 14 because Chef John recommended it as a much cheaper alternative to a dutch oven back in early 2011. I still have it and use it frequently.
@@punkem733 Yeah, the internet was very very very different 10 years ago. The youtube scene was incredibly small and people who put out solid well edited content were prided.
Hi Chef John, I’ve been watching you since I was 8 thanks to my older sisters and now in 2024 I’m 22. I love and enjoy your content so much! My favorite tip of yours is to add cayenne to practically EVERYTHING to make it taste better! Thank you Chef John!
I'm going to add a dollop of Dijon to the nugget blend for emulsification. And a touch more oil will make it ideal for an air fryer (and use/consume less than a shallow fry.) I've learned so much watching you over many years Chef. Thank you
Made these last night as a test for a large group dinner that I need to cook for next month. Verdict: success! Very tasty, not hard to make in large batches, and suitable for pre-cooking. Surprise finding: pairs well with Chef John’s San Francisco-style garlic noodles.
What came to my mind instantly was the mix of corn starch/flour/potato dumpling powder you used for your crispy onion rings. I have this mix ready-to-go ever since. And a dipping sauce I just made consists of hot mustard, some soy sauce and ketchup. My mom (90) cannot handle pepper anymore. So I have to "work around that". Despite the hot mustard (Löwensenf): it worked out amazing! No cooking. Easily adjustable. Goes with heaps of things. Greetings from the far north of Germany!
Just made this, it was fantastic and came together pretty quick. Instead of leaving in the fridge for a couple hours, I just tossed the whole thing in the freezer in between stages for a few minutes. And it seemed to work perfectly
At first I thought you said "sulphurizing flour" and I was momentarily baffled (but curious). Turns out it was nothing that eccentric. ; ) Thank you, Chef John.
Don't usually gravitate towards fried items, but 2025 is the year for new challenges. Followed the recipe step by step and was delighted with the outcome. Loved the flavor that a 50/50 mixture of white & dark chicken meat produced. I'll never purchase grocery version again. Thanks, John!
You should definitely get her some heavenly Korean fried chicken then! Chef John has a recipe for that as well. I haven't tried that recipe, but given Chef John's track record, it will likely taste close to the original.
Thank you Chef John and Food wishes for keeping your video shots almost short enough to keep my cat from attacking my TV while I watch your great videos.
How did this work (if you've tried it)? I'm such an unskilled cook that I'm never sure about replacements of items in a dish, and I have no food processor, so I was thinking of making just the sauce but using store bought frozen nuggets
Watching this & my wife goes “who’s that?” Me: that’s Chef John!! TH-cam’s OG chef!! Time flies.. first time I remember watching your videos was when I was single & today I celebrated my 15 year anniversary!
I just made these. My wife loved them! The only issue is with ground chicken it's a little harder to tell visually when it's been fully cooked. I probably wound up over cooking them.
I always enjoy Chef John's recipes, but this one really got me enthused! Incidentally, the computer-generated closed captions said that we should use 'Sulfurizing flour'. I think that might taste funny.
Made it. Sauce is amazing. Otherwise I felt it was a bit salty. I’m pretty picky with my measurements as well. Could it be the addition of baking powder in my all purpose flour?
I do not own an air fryer, but my guess would be that you'd need to spritz them with cooking spray to mimick the oil, I'm not certain the starch would brown nicely by itself. Only one way to know... try it! (and keep us posted!)
... and there was no 3-point line. If there had been, Maravich would have *averaged* over 57 points per game!! As if that weren't enough, his ball-handling skills were probably greater than his scoring ability. He invented most of the great moves and passes that we see today. Amazing talent.
I just made this. Next time... I'm gonna leave the nuggets to Mr. Tyson or Mr. Perdue, and just make the sauce. But cut the mayo in half/double up on the other ingredients. The sauce is a winner but it needs to be stronger overall IMO. My nuggets were nothing special (altho they came out great) and I kinda prefer whole meat to fritters.
Hey Chef John have you tries Underwood Ranches' Sriracha? It's great, tastes like Huy Fong used to and you get to support the farmer that they screwed over.

Yes, same here..
Yes, I have prepared some of his recipes and they all turned out well.
Same.
My approach with Chef John's videos-get pen and paper, hit like, start video, take notes.
Took me about half a second to figure that out.

Happy New Year Chef John 🥳🎉 Thank you for all of the great recipes and humor over the years.
Pleasantly surprised that the lunatics that think "seed oils" are poison haven't made it to the chef john videos.

After all you are the Cactus Jack of your Chicken snack

I love you Chef John
My gf is pregnant and get stand chicken anymore unless it is breaded so you are my new year miracle once again chef john
She had damp hands in the near past, huh.
Suggest trying his chicken Parm recipe as well it's good I make it usually once or twice a month for my family

I believe if you look at his merch, you can get a tee with that on it.
And "Bodacious."
My daughter walked through the room while I was saying that along with Chef John and gave me the WEIRDEST look, LOL

Looks delicous! And the meatball version might be a bit healthier for a weeknight dinner idea but still great

What if you substituted potato starch for the AP flour? Would that help it stay crispy?
🔥w/jasmine white rice also!
Happy New Year Chef
Thanks for the nod to Mr. Maravich, in my estimation one of the finest players to play the game..
Last weekend in Solvang I found and purchased a freakishly small wooden spoon.
Don't know if I have the patience or space to make those nuggets, but that sauce is definitely going to show up in a few dishes for me. Thanks Chef!
Love the use of doubling up on the cutting boards
I am totally hungry now.
Do we have to grind the chicken? Will it work with coating the pieces with the seasoning?
Excellent recipe.
Maravich reference! 🏀🧙♂
Looks good going to try this weekend
Sauce on the side, keep them crispy.
