i’m a junior in high school and i’m trying out for VB this year, i tried out in 7th and 8th grade but didn’t make the team both times and by 9th grade i was too nervous to try out again but i finally decided to try again but i’m super nervous, i’m definitely not awful at volleyball but i’m far from good 😂
I have tryouts on august 2nd, 3rd, and 4th I think and I never went to conditioning before hand bc of stuff and I don’t even know how to serve, I wanna be a Libero but I don’t think I’ll make the team but I’ll try
I missed the tryouts for grade 10 because a family member passed away, so I'm doing drills through the summer for grade 11. This really helped my confidence, thank you. Hopefully they don't mind I missed the first year😬

Last year bc of covid we had barely enough people for the team. We never switched out, so while the other team was switching, I rested with my hands on my knees. As soon as they were done, hands came off the knees :)

Hey Koko, I have a question concerning where to practice volleyball. I haven’t touched a volleyball since 8th grade and even though I was told to try out so many times, I couldn’t because of my marching band schedule (marching band and volleyball always interfered, and the band director was very strict on attendance, so adjusting would not have happened.) I just graduated high school and playing volleyball has been on my mind now considering I’m heading into college and won’t be in a marching band as the school doesn’t have one, but would love to play something (if the college allows first time players) I dearly enjoyed playing in gym and with friends back when I was in eighth grade. Concerning my question, I live in a small city and we only have beach volleyball courts. I want to play indoor volleyball courts for a number of reasons (always had more fun playing indoors, more teammates, more positions, and an uniform that covers more skin), but I do not know whether practicing indoor volleyball on a beach court would be the go to when there is no indoor volleyball courts that are available to the public. Should I either practice on a beach court or just buy a net for my home in the background (if playing indoor volleyball outside on the grass is okay)
Hi coach Koko, so it's my first time playing volleyball and Im gonna tryout for the volleyball team but I only know how to do the underhand serve. The thing is I never seen someone do the underhand serve. So I'm asking you if it's okay or that's not how you serve?
Your gonna want to ask your coach to make sure. At higher levels they most likely won't let you underhand. At lower levels they miiiiiight make an exception. Either way you should still learn and practice your over hand.

I want to play indoor volleyball courts for a number of reasons (always had more fun playing indoors, more teammates, more positions, and an uniform that covers more skin), but I do not know whether practicing indoor volleyball on a beach court would be the go to when there is no indoor volleyball courts that are available to the public.
Should I either practice on a beach court or just buy a net for my home in the background (if playing indoor volleyball outside on the grass is okay)
Hi coach Koko, so it's my first time playing volleyball and Im gonna tryout for the volleyball team but I only know how to do the underhand serve. The thing is I never seen someone do the underhand serve. So I'm asking you if it's okay or that's not how you serve?
Your gonna want to ask your coach to make sure. At higher levels they most likely won't let you underhand. At lower levels they miiiiiight make an exception. Either way you should still learn and practice your over hand.

I have tryouts very soon and this will be my first time ever playing volleyball for a team and instead of buying volleyball shoes right away I was wondering if you can make a full depth video on what shoes to wear for volleyball tryouts. Or if anyone knows what are good shoes for tryouts instead of volleyball shoes.
