Your observation that St Thomas came to Goa in the first century is incorrect even though the church is named after St Thomas which is normally found in Kerala and Tamil Nadu
Hi Pretthi, you got it wrong. Christianity was introduced to Goa by portuguese and not St Thomas who did it in Chennai.This church was built during the Portuguese rule. Portuguese were invited by the Hindus who were ruled by Muslims and they took over some part of Goa from Adil Shah of Bijapur from 1510 till 1961. The remaining parts like Bicholim,Valpoi,Pernem etc were added later on.

N the other side of my family from Ludhiana in Punjab. Visit Punjab n Delhi every year but not the families there as yet. My other families visited the Delhi families. They were delighted to see us n wanted us to come back to India but we have our own homes here
