Have you had a lot of luck with turning the earring hook 1/2 turn as shown in this video? I've had them break on me before, and I've heard other people say not to do it. I read someone say "big jump ring, small jump ring, hook," and that has been working best for me. I put a hook, a 3mm ring (which makes me go blind LOL), and a 5mm ring into the earring (which works good for thick projects like this one too). Thanks for the video!
Hello, Thank you so much for this tutorial. I got a faux leather pack on amazon but when I tried it with my Cricut it did not cut. all the way through do you have any tips for thick leather? Thanks.
I have not tried it yet but I saw someone else put the setting on wool bonded felt. I also saw for of your using thick glitter you will want to use a canvas setting. Like I said I haven’t tried it yet but let me know how it works!
How do you move the earrings closer together if you wanted to save leather? I know you can ungroup them if they’re separate, but those earrings are 2 in a set so how would you move them closer together?
Taylor Luna yes! You should be able to. :) I would try the faux leather paper thin setting with the Cricut Joy. I would also make sure it’s faux leather, if it genuine leather it might not be able to cut through that. Thank you! 🥰
Can this be done using the Cricut Joy? I received one for my birthday a couple of months ago with the intention of making earrings like the pair you showed in this video. I still haven't opened the box yet and have to learn how to use it - so thank you for sharing this video.
Yes! You can cut faux leather on the Cricut Joy. It’s hard to get it out of the box I feel like and there’s a little bit of a learning curve but once you start making it, it gets easier! 🥰❤️
Hi Kayla. What tool/cutting tool would I use in my air ? Do the faux leather tell you ? I assume different types of leather may need different tools. Idk but want to try. 😁
Awesome, I learned what a jump ring was today. Turns out I own one already, had no clue what it was. Thank you.
Lol!! I had no idea what they were until I started making the earrings! 🥰
Same here!!! Lol
Do you have the link for the hole puncher?
I just ordered a Cricut maker today. I can see that your videos are going to come in very handy ❣️ Thank you!
I bought all the supplies last year but have not yet made the earrings. Lol. You made it look easy so I will try it. Thanks.
I’ll do that too! Lol especially if it’s a little more complicated than other projects. I’m glad the video was easy to follow!! 🥰❤️
What size hole punch did you use?
Thanks so much for doing step by step. Perfect Tutorial.

Faux Leather
Hi Kayla. What tool/cutting tool would I use in my air ? Do the faux leather tell you ? I assume different types of leather may need different tools. Idk but want to try. 😁
you can use the the fine blade that came with the cricut or the a deep one ive used both
How do I bring the earrings closer to save material please?
Hi! Since it's one layer you would need to duplicate the earring layer then go to contour for each layer and delete one of the earrings from each one.
Thank you beautiful earrings your awesome.
Gracias
do you have to pay for cricut access? i’m wanting to start making these!
