Same at my Dollar Tree. Yesterday there was one unopened box just sitting on the floor. I opened it myself, checked out the yarn & bought the whole box 😂
I am almost ashamed to say I bought all 3 boxes that were at the store by me lol. I can say that I was having a vision of a king sized afghan when I bought them.
My closest dollar tree never even gets that....so I hit up all the dollar trees in the Cincinnati area and I find all the best finds soo much cute stuff!!
I really REALLYneeded this video this morning!! Im so sick of being stuck inside! I lost my husband of 45 yrs, 3 yrs ago on this March 24 and this type of drive/excursion was something he and I used to love doing. Very pretty country. Looks like a combo of the Rockies & the Midwest. And what super shoppers you & your daughter are. And I don’t for a minute want to leave Mr. Cinnamon out. What a wonderful hubby you have to not only encourage your yarn collecting, but actually feed it. 🥰 Anytime you feel like taking us with you on the mountain roads, I don’t get car sick! 😃

There are 3 around where I live... 1 doesn't have yarn at all... Another only has about 1-2 boxes... The biggest one has about 4-5 boxes, but none has the craft section like that!!! Jealous!! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
I think this is due in part to a few of the national craft store chains going out of business or decreasing craft sections in fabric stores, and also because you have crafters who are experimenting with different crafts and don't want to spend alot of money on a craft project they may only do once or twice

The yarn sections vary in size depending on what part of town you are in. They are offering larger craft section tho. The garden sections are expanding too. Thanks for the field trip

My Dollar Tree has expanded the craft section to 4 aisles of awesomeness. Before it used to be shoved into the very last aisle with the occasional 1 box of disheveled yarn on an encap, and not consistently at that. It used to take me a while to shop because of the lack of inventory, but now it takes me even longer because of the variety. 🙃 lol I love it!
I love this video! It made me cry, when I was married we went to West Virginia every summer for a reunion, I loved seeing the majestic mountains just so pretty! Since my divorce I haven't gone there due to work and medical issues. I love those old country roads, just like the song..almost Heaven.....😀

Thanks for the shoutout Jennifer! Yes, dt has been stepping up the crafting section. They have had the glass bead sets for a few years now. Tip: head over to the hardware section for a divided plastic container that is twice the size. I only found the dt crochet hooks a month (?) ago. I have also found jump rings recently at dt. For starting with stitch markers, Fire Mountain gems has an amazing grab bag. The bosses bead bag, and it is great for stitch markers. It is usually $10, but goes on sale for $5 a few times a year. I unboxed it a few months back. Also- hobby lobby clearance season in the beading department currently. Have a creative day! Kim

Yes they have "Upped their game" for sure. My dollar tree now has an isle and a specific section for the yarn now and it's placed in baskets like in your video & it's so nice. Sometimes I share the info on twitter & IG but last time I did all the yarn was done in 48 hrs and that particular day my dollar tree had gotten Bernet Yarn!! I was in shock! After I snapped out of it, I Loaded up my cart with 8 balls, wish I had of gotten more so I could of made my blanket larger. 😁🌹♥️ Dollar tree has always been my stop for yarn even when I don't need it! I need to go to "YAA" yarn addicts anonymous. 😳😆😂😂😂😂

That drive was beautiful. Thank you. My nearest dollar tree has has a tiny but of shelf space in the seasonal aisle. When I was there recently, it was nearly hidden by Easter decor and baskets. I hope they increase it soon. I'll be watching. Or visiting other locations.

I live in ontario canada and the Dollar Tree stores here are pathetic. The only yarn they have is that fuzzy ribbon yarn that nobody uses anymore. I did find the crochet hooks that you picked up and they are fantastic! I truly enjoyed the ride to the mountains! I also love driving through country roads. Thanks for sharing!

Surprisingly the plastic crochet hooks from dollar tree are EASY to work with. I am looking for the size 4.00mm and 4.50mm now ! I already bought the size 5&6, they are going into my extra crochet bag that I will keep in my car!
I'm waiting for my Dollar Tree to update with more yarn. I have to visit the other 3 stores. I haven't seen any hooks but they have plenty of all the other craft items. Country roads are a nice change from the City. Peaceful. I visit in Warrenton, VA

I've lived in MO my whole life until about 12 years ago. I got a job in VA and I lived there happily for 7 years, before moving to Algeria, getting married, starting a family and moving back to MO to be close to my mom...But these videos make me miss VA so much! My favorite place was actually Alexandria. But there is no place in VA that I didn't like. Also, I see your Dollar tree has my yarn 😂 My mom bought me like 20 skeins of that leaf green Just Yarn and I just use it here and there for various things. Recently my son asked for a cardigan, and I was exactly half a skein short to finish a sleeve. Been looking for a month and that color is no where to be found! It was a very "fall" color.

My favorite vacation spot ever is the Smokey mountains, but we have only been to them in Gatlinburg, Tn, some day I want to be on the Virginia side too, I have a old friend who I used to babysit her kids, who lives in the same city that you do.

Those tubes of yarn in Location 1 are so cute! My Dollar Tree didn't have a large selection when I first checked, but could be better stocked now. Maybe I'll have to go check again... ;)

My favorite vacation spot ever is the Smokey mountains, but we have only been to them in Gatlinburg, Tn, some day I want to be on the Virginia side too, I have a old friend who I used to babysit her kids, who lives in the same city that you do.

You should be able to find it, All the stores are supposed to be getting bigger craft sections. Also they sell it online

Thank you for sharing your Dollar tree stores with us, I paid close attention to the yarn, I was looking for the flowers yarn the color tulip I need a little to finish my baby blanket, ugh alas can't find any. Noticed none in all your four stores you went to, guess I need to frog 🐸 it and use it for who knows what. Thank you again for sharing. Much love until the next video. PS, I went to all four stores no luck either, funny though I had the same number of skeins of another color of flowers and I was able to finish the blanket, hum.
I so hope that my DT updates their yarn game like that - mine is like the one close to you used to be - there usually isn't much, and that is if I find them. And I love those tonal sets! I am definitely keeping my eye out for that!!
