the a330 neo has a cheaper selling cost than the 787 dreamliner. that is an added bonus.
The 787-8 has a lower list price than the A330-800, though the larger variants of the Dreamliner - the 787-9 and 10, are priced higher. The list price of the 787-9 is comparable with the A330-900 and it also offers greater seating capacity and range. However, the -800 will likely see more orders in the future as more operators of a330ceos look to replace their fleet with newer planes.

i'm pretty sure that the a330 neo is gonna be successful in the long run.
i think that it is actually more fuel efficient than the 787
yeah, the a330neo is a lot more fuel efficient than the ceos, plus the benefit of fleet consistency could incentivize more a330ceo operators to order neos in the future
Obviously they need to sell more, however, given the relatively small development costs, they really dont need to sell that many to make it worthwhile.
After 787 saga just now...A 330 neo will be the safe options onward
KLM now ordered 50 A350's with an option of 40 more. Replacing their A330's and 777-200's.
They should bloody want it. Airbus has not gone wrong. Airbus Marketing should be doing their job and selling it! The A330-800neo is better than the 787.
You know how many orders the A300 got in 1976 ?
1, A single one.
And that was after almost one year of 0 (zero !!!) Orders.
In the end they still sold 561 of them.
So just wait a while and see how the orders for the A330 will pick up again in a few years. Lufthansa also waited years before the ordered their first 787 and 777.
The A330 neo will definitely increase its market share in the future.
If we are focusing just - 800 and -900 yes, looks like Airbus is failing. But in fact I think they are smart to make it. 12 -800 = less 12 787-8 sells, and 300 of -900 is less 300 of 787-9 sells.
They just based on the old air frame, I think this 312 air craft if not, they will make profit for Airbus,.

Passengers airline is not the only purpose for this aircraft. A330neo MRTT and freighter versions is another purpose for making this aircraft. Boeing cannot sell the 767 freighter after 2027 because it doesn’t meet regulations unless there is an exemption. I thought that would be obvious. As long as the A330-900 is selling well Airbus is not going to worry about it.
AirAsia and Malaysia Airline will get it A330neo soon this year.
Can you get a response from Airbus why this model in selling well
And if there is any further plans for this type
A330 neo 800 has more planes than the a319neo.
