Hi man, a channel named WingedWorld made a video on “EVERY AIRLINE BEGS FOR THE NEW AIRBUS A330neo NOW” I felt like he literally copied the contents and info from ur video cuz he said the exact same infos in the exact same order as you did. I am not sure if it’s allowed so just letting ya know
It's fairly common for A330s to be used for short high density routes in Asia. That is why almost every asian airline has an A330 ceo fleet and, of course, this role can be filled by the neo as well. Many A330s are just so new that they do not need replacing yet.
I feel like the A330neo is the perfect aircraft for Asian and African carriers. Today, we found that Air Algerie decided to pick the A330neo over the 787 and Indigo is almost certain to order the A330neo if they consider widebodies.
@@nntflow7058 That's because Airbus around the late 2000s did some modifications to the 300 which made it a far more attractable option compared to the 200.
Since those planes are a bit new, that's good for the airlines. They will be able to hold on to them for a while and really squeeze the maximum out of them...
My favorite thing about the a330 is the 2-4-2 layout. You only have to go through one person aisle access. The 2-4-2 configuration also allows better privary in my opinion. XL
Why is it so hard to understand seating is purely on the operator. They can make the seating configuration what ever they wish. Airbus had no control over this. Do you understand this?
I am a total Boeing guy, but the a330Neo is a truly impressive aircraft. it is interesting to see widebodies on short-haul routes, much like how they are flown in Japan and Asia.
@@KindaClueKaden I fly both Boeing and Airbus products. Both are great. Both have pros and cons. The problem is that Boeing listened too much to SouthWest in regards to the 737 and the cockpit, even the MAX is not modern. The 757 is a sexy airplane. But it’s also outdated. I wish Boeing had a replacement for the 73 and 75.
@@augustbehle3589 Those are the people I appreciate the most. I'm actually more of an Airbus fan but I do like many Boeing jets even the controversial ones like the Max and 777X. Yes, the 787 is the superior aircraft to the A330neo but that does not mean I cannot see the advantages of the neo. The fuel efficiency is almost identical for flights under 7 hours. There are many routes especially in Asia, Africa and even the US that don't require the range of the 787 but need 2-3 flights per day. By making improvements on the A330neo to better cater that segment, Airbus can tap to this little market and make it superior to the 787. It is happening already. If you cannot beat your competitor, you create a niche to beat them on.
Honestly, this change to the 330neo is my favourite part. I not only love an underdog story, but this demonstrates Airbus's design philosophy and why they're becoming so successful in recent years. Adapting the aircraft this way will also do wonders for carbon efficiency, and it's good to see Airbus doing this with existing tech, instead of just waiting for newer technologies. Size is medium, by the way 😉
@Steven Strain except that in regards to Airbus, if a company has a A320 running a certain flight and during the busy season they are constantly fully booked, they can rotate in an A330 for a few months. They can even use the same pilots. Can’t do that as easy with the 737 and 787.
@Steven Strain I would agree that most 787 guys would be typed on the 737 as well. But I doubt most 737 guys are typed on anything bigger. Having flown Boeing products myself since 2009, I’ve added Airbus 2 years ago. I’m typed in the 340 but can get typed on the 320 in 6 days. To get typed on the 330 is 1 day. It’s a philosophy that is now starting to pay off for Airbus. Companies start mixed fleet flying. It’s easier to do in an Airbus compared to Boeing.
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183 Boeing's advantage would mainly be with customers who're already flying older 737s since the MAX was planned to have more commonality with them
If one looks at the orders still outstanding: 90+% are ALL air lease corporations... in other words, no major airline is actually ordering the plane other than Delta for the ~most part. This is the rental car of the skies going forward it appears outside of Delta and a couple other small carriers.. I smell MASSIVE discounts for those air lease corporations. Makes one wonder what the ACTUAL load/fuel consumption numbers are. They must be bad compared to 787 otherwise this plane SHOULD be selling to actual airline customers instead of rental air lease corporations only.
What I found really interesting about the 330 neo is it's flexibility and versatility and ability to adapt so well to different routes. I also didn't know that almost all airbus planes have a similar cockpit. I really enjoy your videos Coby, always entertaining and high quality. Size Small
Even with completely new designed aircraft like the a350 or a380 the cockpit philosophy and design is still basically the same as it was in the first a320 back in 1987. This allows pilots to have ratings for different aircraft at the same time. There are pilots at Lufthansa that fly a330/a340/a350 which are quite different planes in size, number of engines and age. There are also airlines where pilots fly both short and long haul on a320/a330/a340.
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183 Airbus' more computerized cockpit design (compared to Boeing) makes it easier to re-program for different aircraft of different sizes I heard
I flew the very first -900 to Portugal a few years back. INCREBIDLY spacious, yet cozy, super smooth through turbulence, and the soft hum of the Trent 7000s is amazing. Easily in my top 3 favorite commerical jets. XL size btw !
Great video! As someone who has always been a fan of Boeing, I have to admit that I'm increasingly impressed by Airbus' products, especially the A330. One thing I particularly appreciate about the A330 is its seating configuration, which is both comfortable and efficient. That being said, it's wonderful to see the A330 Neo doing so well and continuing to exceed expectations. Congratulations to Airbus on another successful launch! Large
This really changed my perspective on the Airbus Ecosystem as a whole, seeing profits change that much in the case of Cebu Pacific after the introduction of a new aircraft is so impressive. It's so interesting to see the behind the scenes of the companies, thanks Coby! (also size large lol)
I love your videos coby. My favorite thing about the A330 is that it holds the record for longest glide, breaking the record of the ‘gimli glider.’ Captain Piché is a hero. My shirt size is small
I did not expect to see Cebu Pacific here as a notable A330neo operator. Then again, it is incredible just how much they use theirs, even their A330ceos. Their A330s fly from Manila to Dubai or Sydney one day, then get assigned to fly Manila to Cebu (about a 1.5 hour hop) the next.
That's more of an example of poverty in their market (the Philippines) than anything else. Their aircraft layout is incredibly cramped for anyone who grew up with proper nutrition.
@@j134679 Market is market. If there is demand then someone will serve that demand. Filipinos just want to move from point A to point B at the cheapest price possible. This is why budget airlines like Cebu Pacific are thriving because they are serving the market.
@@j134679 Not entirely true. I flew many times with Cebu Pacific within the Philippines and i am not on a short size. For short flight the space is enough and the flight crew are cool and it helps.
As a passenger, I love the A330 interior. It’s a very comfy wide body. Absolutely fascinating to learn about the cockpit commonality with other airbus models. That just makes me want to be a pilot even more! Men’s XL
I like the way the A330Neo is wearing it‘s new Airbus style bandit mask … the proportion and shape of engine and wing is simply a beauty and the nice landing gear … As a PAX I am happy with 2-4-2 and sometimes 2-2-2 in the front. Was able to see it in it‘s Delta Team USA in OSH during Flight display. So quiet 🙃 I like the bandit mask in M ;-)
I've always been a huge fan of the A330. Qatar AIrways had a large fleet of them, plying the London-Doha route, which I flew on many occasions. This was a really interesting insight to changing market dynamics and how you don't necessarily have to create a completly new aircraft, you just need to have a deep understanding of the industry and be in a position to react and differentiate yourself quickly. Cudos to you for getting in front of some senior people at Airbus. Thanks for sharing, Coby. Size XL. 🙂
@@mmm0404 Then why do they introduce newer and spacious cabins?? What you said applies only on a few airlines who have no value for passenger, but there are airlines who do have high standards and customer service.
@@alphamalegold I personally like their fleet of a350s, they're more quite and spacious. The cabin design just hits different. The a330 (the original ones) were fine when they were first introduced, but they're quite outdated nowadays. But, if I were to compare, than even the old a330s will be far ahead of the 787 given the fact that jow spacious it was.
@@Parallex001 well I mean, they won't stop ordering the 787 because a certain group of people prefer the a330neo. Cabin configurations is for competitive advantage
Well I'm obviously going to jump in on this! My favorite has to be the typical 2-4-2 cabin layout in economy - it's not exclusive to the a330 (looking at you 767 and your 2-3-2), but having 2 seats along the sides is awesome. No worrying about the middle seat, just a window and an aisle as it should be. Also why I love the 717! Size XL if I'm so lucky.
I work at Airbus in Toulouse as an aircraft electrician on the A330. And I see, everyday, the differences between the neo and the ceo. Especially for the cabin furnishing, the way my company worked on manufacturing enhancement to fix galleys and lavatories for examples. But also on ordinary parts like baseboards. We just take half the time to install them compared the ceo! And even if I see it from the inside, I learned a lot with this video! 😁 Medium size 🤞
@intellicadee so, "ceo" means "Current Engine Option" as opposed to "neo", which means "New Engine Option". So Ceo is just a purely semantic modification to the names of the original classic aircrafts by Airbus, just for the sake of easily distinguish them from the Neo versions, which actually come with major "hardware modifications"
I fly for Frontier Airlines in the US and i seriously think this aircraft would sit really well in our fleet. Especially if this aircraft offers that versatility in long haul and short haul. My shirt size is Small and my favorite thing about this new aircraft is the sleek wing design and massive quiet engines. I love your channel Coby! Keep them coming back!
Obviously nothing in our route that calls for an A330 but we do have future expansion flights to Latin and South America where i think the aircraft would be fantastic for.
On the 330NEO right now, returning to Las Vegas from Frankfurt non-stop in premium class. Wow, so much better than the 767. I like the leg room, foot step, really nice/big monitor and flight tracking, hundreds of movies and one incredibly quiet aircraft. Thank you Condor!
Hey Coby! Very nice video !! My favorite part of the A330neo is that it has lower TCO (Total Cost of Ownerships) compared to the 787. Also I loved what the Airbus guy mentioned: “We want it to be more connected”
I’m glad the A330neo is beginning to prove itself. Arguably one of the most revolutionary aircraft of recent years, and i’m very excited to see where this goes.
My favourite thing about the A330 is my nostalgia for it! I went on one for my first long haul flight as a kid, flying from Manchester (UK) to Philadelphia with US Airways. Always a special plane for me! Size M
I’ve flown on the A330NEO several times on HND-SEA route. Lovely aircraft. Quiet cabin. I would say it’s on par(comfort wise) as the 787 and 350. I’m a size L :). Great job on the video and thanks!!!
My favorite part of the 330neo is the engine, I love the XWB, and the fact that the 7000 has adopted quite a few things from it is just interesting. My shirt size is XXL, thanks.
The development debacle of the 787 took much longer and massively exceeded its predicted budget. Entry into service was plagued by battery fires and engine problems and most recently the aircraft has had production problems. The A330 NEO was a drama free modest refresh of an existing successful design and its mere presence in the market suppressed the price of the 787. The 787 has lower fuel consumption than the A330 NEO but at a time of low fuel prices the wider availability of rated pilots, good operating service reliability and continuous airframe tweaking make the A330 NEO a worthy competitor.
If it's not too late for a sweatshirt, I'll take a medium! My favorite thing about the A330 is how the main landing gear perform on touchdown. It's so different from how other landing gear operate: the back tires touch down while the front ones on the REAR stay up!
Very good video! I believe the total cost of ownership including sales price might be the biggest advantage of the airplane aside from the unique mixed fleet flying. It is definitely one of the most beautiful airplanes out there.
Shirt size XL - I have always found the A330 to be a no-nonsense, efficient plane and a comfortable airframe to be a passenger on too. I love the cockpit and was invited to have a seat at the A330's first officer's seat after a flight from YUL to AMS with KLM. Great experience!
My favorite part of the A330NEO story is its versatility. Being able to swap flight crews from type to type with little training is such good foresight on Airbus’ part. Size large!
I'm an XL... :) As far as the 330 is conerned, there's a lot to be impressed with. Overall, if I were an airline exec, what I would really like is the uniformity of cockpit design. That strikes me as a massive time/money saver when it comes to cross-training pilots.
Whether I’m going SYD -> PER or SYD -> BKK the A330 has always been my favourite ride. Great that it looks set to persist. And shine. Thanks again Coby. Top stuff.
Very interesting and informative video. It seems that the A330neo is underrated but then they do have the benefit of learning from the 787 but this has enabled them to adapt it to different circumstances than the 787 was originally designed for.
The original answer of Airbus to the 787 was the A330 with a new engine. The airlines refused this solution - carbon rush - So Airbus made the A350. This aircraft wasn't an answer to the 787. It is an attack on the 777. After Boeing really f.u. the 787 Airbus did come back with the A330neo.
I have just finished my flight training today and had my final assessment in an A320 simulator. It looks identical to the A330, apart from a third MCDU! My favourite thing about the A330 is the MRTT tanker variant - it is an incredible forward thinking design and looks amazing at air shows! Love the sweatshirt, size large :)
For Airbus the 330 was the best base aircraft for a tanker since the wing has 4 engine mounts (it's the same wing as the 340) and they could use the outer 2 engine mounts which are just covered on normal 330s for the refueling pods
11:50, yes, i have been in that situation (not exacly). From a passenger perspective it doesn't really matter, but as aviation enthusiast i really listen to those p/a's and things like that. The captain at the start of the flight, stated correctly that we were on an A330, but at the end he said we were on A320.
The 330 Neo will always hold a special place on my heart. Was able to book a cheap once in a lifetime family vacation coming out from COVID from SFO to LIS on TAPs fleet of 330neos. Was so surprised about how comfortable the 2-4-2 configuration is and how quiet the plane was, which made the 12 hour trek even while wearing masking effortlessly. Also I was massively geeking when we deplane through stairways in LIS and we we’re just standing a few feet away from those massive RR 7000 Trent engines waiting for the shuttle bus, talk about a cool experience! Awesome video and thanks for the free trip down memory lane! XL just in case 😂
My shirt size is medium, One of my favorite things about these aircraft is their spacious cabin layout, which offers a comfortable and relaxing flying experience for passengers. And I think that the neo has more sleek design because of the bigger engines, wing design and that mask, plus the Trent 7000 sounds like a Trent 1000 when landing and I love it.
I love how open Airbus public relations is to arranging visits for aviation reporters. It's cool that they grant this access. I assume Boeing takes the same approach.
Btw, the A339 is certified to carry 440 passangers in a single class configuration, such as used by Cebu Pacific, although some articles state they are fitted with 459 seats. Either way, quite the people mover!
Widebody on short haul routes can certainly work. Prior to retiring them, Qantas was using it's 767's extensively (departure every 30 minutes) on MEL-SYD, a flight time of around 1 hour..
The 330 neo caught my attention due to its remarkable adaptability and versatility in accommodating diverse flight routes. Additionally, I was unaware that the majority of Airbus planes share a comparable cockpit. Your videos, Coby, are highly enjoyable and of exceptional quality. Size XL (extra-large).✈
I love that the A330 is being put to new use! I love the plane, and ive been on it with Aer Lingus, With me in the back, it was a 2-3-2 configuration since the back is getting shorter! Size: S. Keep up the good work!
I love the versatile design that Airbus is giving to the a330neo, for routes between Latin America where air travel is quite expansive, it would serve a grand part of the local economy. Azul Linhas Aereas have some of them and uses them for both long and short haul routes between Brazil and Europe, this could mean that the South American economy could go up because of how many tourists could come here. So in conclusion, the a330neo is not only a plane that innovates the aviation section, is an airplane that could help expand the local economies. BTW, my shirt size is SM lol
I honestly doubt that the A330neo will do such a "comeback". Many big A330 operators like Saudia, American Airlines, Air Canada or Singapore Airlines for example are ditching (or have ditched) the A330 in favour of the 787, which shows that the 787 is the preferred aircraft. Some Airbus loyalists may still commit to the aircraft (like Delta or Iberia for example) but I strongly doubt that it will attract that many customers. A good example of this is Lufhtansa, they didn't bother with the A330neo, they commited for the 787, even though the A330neo is a "homemade" aircraft. To be honest, cockpit commonality may be a big deal for some airlines, but it has to be highlighted that the 787 shares a common type rating with the 777, and that is a big deal for many airlines that operate the 777. And one thing that is not being said about the A330neo is that the engines that it uses are not performing as well as they promised. Tap Air Portiugal has said it on a few occassions, the engines are not performing as well as they should, and that really does impact the fuel effciency. If most airlines are choosing the 787 instead of the A330 currently, there has to be a noticeable difference on the performance/reliability aspect.
To be fair, there is logic in your argument. However, it misses the point of the video. It was not talking about replacing the A330ceo, but hypothesising a new or growing market segment of transporting more passengers over a relatively short distance in a twin aisle aircraft, something which as yet the 787 is a poor (and expensive) choice. While the A330neo may not be taking many, if any sales away from the 787, which does what it does well, exceptionally well, the 787 without modifications may take few if any orders for this new market, which the A330neo appears ideally placed as the only suitable aircraft currently available. Not only that, but unlike the 787, it does not have a massive order book, so it is ideally placed to help fill this growing segment more quickly.
Also remember that the 787 is longer for sale, which means lot of airlines already had some. Adding a different model to the fleet not only means crew training but also training for maintenance people ETC. Also airlines that do cancel their 787 order have to pay a fine. Also the 787 benefit from it's lower fuel burn and bigger cargo space which can make it more profitable then the A330 NEO long run. I love the A330 NEO, and it seems the best choice for shorted hops. But sadly one everything else the 787 has a slight edge.
The idea that the a330 is a short-medium haul king and that the 787 performs poorly in this seg is unjustified and unproven. The 787-10 is an overall better medium hauler than the a330-900. These two basically share the same empty weight while the 787-10 can carry 50+ more passenger, has far more cargo capacity and has a lower seat cost. The only way the a330neo becomes competitive in the medium haul seg is if they fit 9 seats across, other than that the 787 is overall better.
or, just being super cheaper and faster to deliver. If an airline already got a 787 that's over, but otherwise, Airbus may convince that A330neos would save the cost to switch to 787s.
Two things I like the most. The layout in Economy is awesome for long haul travel. That 2-4-2 works wonders for singles or couples. So much nicer than a 3-3-3 or 3-4-3 configuration. Secondly, that wing man! Has to be one of the most beautiful designed wings in aviation! Hope to fly on one in the future. Size M, thanks so much for the content.
Agree about the 2-4-2 seating, I love the old A340. The only time 3-4-3 is acceptable is on the A380, but then that's over two feet wider than the 747/777 so plenty of room.
I've always been amazed by the aeronautics industry and appreciate the rivalry between boeing and airbus. Their competetivity makes this industry stay on their toes and provide us with increase efficiency and modernization. I've flown on the 330 on a few occasions and found it to be versatile and comfortable. Seeing this new swiss army knife of the sky more often will increase my chances of inevitably hopping on for a short or long haul. SIZE SMALL FOR ME.
Give me an A330 over any Boeing. For a start I'm a large bloke and the seats are usually 1 inch wider in an airbus in cattle class. However a proviso is that I wouldn't have one over a 747!
As an Indian, India does need 320 airports but the Indian government is building around a 100 for now because India is on a tight budget. India needs to increase its defense budget from +-$75b to around $100bn to cater needs like a new supercarrier. India's infrastructure has really been growing rapidly with new cities, expressways, etc. but more money needs to be spent on maintenance. India's civil aviation sector has been rising, and India chose to make big 100 airports using sort of a hub and spoke model, building airports in the prime location with highest demand with nearby areas/cities that are secondary having high demands as well.
I will be flying a Delta A330neo back from Tokyo to Seattle in July. I am looking forward to experiencing another new Airbus plane, well new to me anyways!
Hey Coby, the A330 has grown on me over the years, especially when my hometown airline (HA) switched to them from the 767s. I love how quiet and comfortable the plane is. That 2-4-2 Y seating is great for solo travelers like myself. I'm so happy to see it evolve into the "Swiss Army Knife" it has become. Well done Airbus! On another note, I would love the get a men's XL shirt of yours. Take care, safe travels and keep up the good work.
Hi, I love the A330neo for its glide range! I've tried both the A320neo and the A330neo in MSFS at similar settings, similar fuel and payload loading (relative to MTOM) and then have turned the engines off at a given altitude and point and tried gliding as far as possible and man, eventhough the airplanes do handle similar, the A330neo outperformed anything out there, even the 787. Insane. No wonder that the record glide range was the Air Transat A330 in 2001. It's a true hawk / eagle glider! (my size is L or XL if there are any left - thank You!)
my shirt size is 42 and my favourite thing about the Airbus A330 is the the design on the cockpit windshield. The way it looks on the outside is just amazing
I think the A330 is such a good looking Aircraft. I also believe its great as its so versatile, wether it’s short or long distance routes or it’s been modified into an air to air refuelled, its an awesome aircraft! Really interesting video! Size L
I've always loved the A330. Not too large and not too small. As well as reasonably comfortable for passengers. Thanks for another great video Coby! Although my video title vote didn't win, 😭. Size L.
I’m am a adult small and I love the a330 because it is very roomy and has the feel of an A350 but at the same time, it feels like a smaller aircraft. Also, smooth landings are great.
incredible video. I really appreciate the closed caption during interviews with the Airbus personnel. Fantastic job Coby, very high production value video.
a330 neo has been a favorite of mine i have loved the way the aircraft was designed but the way it was under our noses for this long. i really enjoy watching your videos, thank you for the effort. size medium.
Shirt Size M. My favorite thing about the A330 is her versatility and ramp presence. I have been lucky enough to work with both the passenger version and the MRTT variant and both aircraft are nothing short of amazing. On both missions I’ve never had any payload issues during dispatch. She took it like a champ.
I always loved flying A330. They have such a smooth touch down when landing you hardly feel the bump. Anyway Malaysia airlines who considers A330 as the workhorse of their fleet are getting 20 of them with another 20 on option. Can't wait to fly with them 😊😊
im an XXL, and just the cabins I have seen in this aircraft, the space on board, now recently with Condor, its just insane and Im so looking forward to be a passenger onboard soon.
13:45 As the guy who used to work for the owner of Cebu Pacific, the financial numbers are skewed because of YOY COVID recovery. They are still down from prepandemic numbers. Yes they are replacing their entire fleet of A330ceo to A330neo but no expansion which I find disappointing. Also, domestic airports only have 1 gate so it takes 2x-3x as long to board and deplane an A330neo with more than 440 seats compared to a 210 seat A321neo.
I am a big fan of the A330NEO, it has amazing potential over the next 20 Years and you can see that it's positioning in the leisure market as a direct replacement to the 767-300ER and its modern design and fleet commonality, you only have to look at Condor to see that this investment is genius and profitable. Wait times for orders are low and you get the tech of the A350 without the price tag, if I was starting an airline in Europe today, it would be on the bucket list of fleet ideas!
what i love about the a330 is how it can be such a useful and flexible workcourse for airlines. it can operate dense short routes in asia eg cathay pacific on its one hour flights to manila, or flying long haul to other destinations. also, as an avgeek I love the fact it has such a unique and tilted landing gear, plane spotting a a330 is just extremely satisfying. in addition, my only time I was in business due to a free upgrade as on an a330. really enjoy it! size m
And just last April 30, Cebu Pacific received their 5th A330NEO. I always see an A330 above me flying from Oceania Region to China and East Asia. 777s and A350s usually go transpacific. EDIT: Small pls Coby!
Last week, I flew in both the original and the neo. The most pleasant novelty was the sound insulation, which transformed one of the noisiest aircraft into one of the quietest. I guess the new engines helped in that regard too. Seating location was almost the same both flights.
To some extent many orders have substituted from the 330 to the 350 so that will explain slow uptake . As the older CEO's are retired the Neo will gain more sales.
Size Medium. Love it because it’s tried and tested and yet improved in every little way. Even for PAXEX e.g. best economy cabin in the sky with 2-4-2 made even better with latest overhead bins and wall design. Superb!
I really like the new wingtips on the A330neo but I just love to watch the tilted landing gear and the butter smooth touchdowns. So I'll go with that as my favorite. Sweatshirt size L would be great, I hope I'm not too late though :D
I'm glad Cebu Pacific was given a shout out, but I'm surprised there was no mention of the insanely dense 900neo they fly. I flew an 800ceo back in 2019, and I can't even imagine the circus the max-pax version is! 13:43
It may be a chaotic one, but as someone who flown this one, it is a great experience, as a 5'9 being in that seat may look tight, but there's actually a bit of space to move. Not to mention the USB ports Hahaha
Medium and I love how it’s evolved over time. There is still some A300 DNA in there. Some of the A330s parts are based on 40-50 year old designs and yet it’s one of the most efficient planes flying today
My favortie part about the A330 neo is optimization towards being an efficient large capacity short haul flyer, that can also do Long hauls extremely efficiently. Im someone who is very excited for the A320XLR, and I feel like it will fit well with them allowing companies to switch them in or out depending on the demand for that route. XL
Im a Small. I love the A330, I used to be a die hard ‘if it ain’t boeing I’m not going’ kinda person. But when QFA put A330s on the east to west coast run in Australia, I fell in love with the bigger cabin and enhanced comfort of them. You just felt so much better after 4.5hrs in a 330 compared to a B738. I also used to think their winglets (on the A330-200, not the neo) looked silly but I’ve really grown to love them. They’re one of my favourite aircraft now, I actively look for them
@@ant2312 I thought sharklets were the ones like on the A320s that go up and down - I’m thinking of the old kinda boxy squashed trapezoid shape, not the beautiful raked winglets on the 330 neos
Hey Coby, the A330Neos got one of the smoothest feels when it comes to it's landings, particularly. It feels like a heavier widebody with the agility of the narrow body. Very awe inspiring landings thereby I've felt ... I'm a size 48 ( inches )...
I really like the 'sunglasses' that the a330neo has, I like the landing gear that is perfectly tilted and the fact that the plane is a wide body but not to big so its a happy medium. I am personally an Airbus fan and this is just the improvement of the 767. The seating layout in economy is almost perfect (I prefer 2-3-2). Im s btw.
I think my favorite thing about the 330 in general is that it's the perfect mix of modernity while keeping things old school. Moderately sized displays, no touch screens, all button controls and that "retro" 320 cockpit look. And about the 330 neo... what's not to love! The elegant wingtips, the massive engines and that stupidly beautiful mask in the front windows. I love this plane, and hope that airlines do indeed ramp orders for it. XS.
Hey Coby, thanks for another quality content, glad to hear that there is a new market (well not that new) for A330. My size is Medium, and the thing I like about A330 is not really connected with aircraft characteristics, but it was the first long haul plane I was flying with, and it was on my first trip to US. So I have very good memories with the plane, it was spacious enough even in the economy cabin, it was quiet and the flight overall was very smooth on A330.☺️
I appreciate the expansive cabin and sleek wing design the way its shaped and glued to the fuselage. I'm sure its more aerodynamic. My shirt size is 2x US. The engines seem more efficient and longer life expectancy. I know pilots will prefer the versatility to cross types 350 330 320. Less training requirements will please the airlines saving money.
My shirt size is S and my favourite thing about the A330s super quite engines with beautiful cabin and one of my favourite thing is economy class configaration 2-4-2 that makes her quite different from her competitor.
My favorite thing about the A330 Neo is the flexibility this aircraft can provide to a large pool of clients and potential clients. This aircraft can accommodate to different type of operations like hub and spoke or point to point. My shirt size is M.
My shirt size is Medium. For this video, what I loved the most was the input of the professionals who were interviewed and I would love to see a full version your interview with the test pilots at AIRBUS and BOEING. I cannot say I am a BOEING guy or an AIRBUS guy, but I love watching analytical videos on each of them. I love them both and in my lifetime I definitely want to fly (as pilot) at least one of each. I have already flown as a passenger on the B737, B747, A320, A320neo, and A321. And definitely want to fly as a pilot someday on multiple of them.
The A330 was always a terrific aircraft. It was crying out for more fuel efficient engines & while airbus may have been slow to do this because of work on other aircraft they finally gave the Neo the improvements it needed & many more as you allude to. I really think Airbus deserve better success with the Neo & hopefully it will come good for them in the near future. I also hope to fly in one eventually! Size XL btw :)
It was always an unfortunate compromise before with its sibling the 340, but I hadn't expected them to be able to squeeze quite that much more out of it by tweaking it a bit.
I agree with the universal favorite I just feel like we are missing a plane with enough character to do so. The 747 is just so iconic with the cortical upper deck and I don’t think we have anything that parallels it today
I wear L sized shirts, and the black is my favourite, one thing that I love about a330 neo is that Air Algérie will use it for Algiers-Barcelona route which is 500kms, and Algiers-Beijin which takes around 11h (10000+Kms, we ordered 5 of it and I hope we'll make good use of it
I love you brought up Cebu Pacific as an example because their regular A330neo is configured to 460 seats. I love that domestic flights are getting more crowded each day, which requires more widebodies for even short hops. If this trend continues more airlines will be forced to put more widebodies into use, and is a win-win for us passengers.
Talking to passengers in the Philippines I learned they dislike Cebu Pacific because of the crowding ( also at the gates!) , late arrivals and typical LCC attitude. But they take it for the economics.
My shirt size is Medium and my favorite thing about the A330 has to be its versatility I meant the A350 fills needs of its own that the A330 and neo especially never will but the A330 is one of the most popular Airbus jets ever made and I’m sure the neo will see improved orders and success soon! 😁 The A330-200 was also the first jet I ever flew internationally as I flew a Delta A332 from ATL-FCO back in 2017! 🇮🇹 I also really love the cockpit masks on all the new Airbus jets! 😎 Great video Coby 🥂
Did someone win the shirt now? Also at 5:59 I believe SAS will be the next A330-900 & A330-800neo customer as they fly A330-300 & -200 jets and are a fan of the A320neo family and the A350 so they obviously prefer new Airbus jets so I'd say the A330neo will be their next choice for trans-oceanic and transcontinental services

I felt like he literally copied the contents and info from ur video cuz he said the exact same infos in the exact same order as you did.
I am not sure if it’s allowed so just letting ya know
I know you gotta pay the bills but Masterworks just reeks of sketchy to me
It's fairly common for A330s to be used for short high density routes in Asia.
True, A330-300 best selling years actually happen after 2010.
@@nntflow7058 That's because Airbus around the late 2000s did some modifications to the 300 which made it a far more attractable option compared to the 200.
Since those planes are a bit new, that's good for the airlines. They will be able to hold on to them for a while and really squeeze the maximum out of them...
Very true, but that`s why SIA for example has ordered B78T and did replace it`s A330 fleet with.
My favorite thing about the a330 is the 2-4-2 layout. You only have to go through one person aisle access. The 2-4-2 configuration also allows better privary in my opinion. XL
@Steven Strain low cost airlines like AirAsia X and Cebu Airlines configure their A330s in 3-3-3 arrangement
The 2-4-2 makes the most sense for long and short haul comfort… that 3rd seat is “awkward” for many
@@sassybob9137 I would love to see Airbus actually publish how many 330's sold with 3-3-3 vrs 2-4-2... I'll bet majority are 3-3-3
Why is it so hard to understand seating is purely on the operator.
They can make the seating configuration what ever they wish. Airbus had no control over this.
Do you understand this?
@@w8stral nope, the majority of A330's aren't 3-3-3, I've flown on a lot of them, like KW Wong said, its an Asia thing
I am a total Boeing guy, but the a330Neo is a truly impressive aircraft. it is interesting to see widebodies on short-haul routes, much like how they are flown in Japan and Asia.
It is as great and impressive as Boeing's brilliant 757 but in a modern form. Two fantastic aircraft.
Regards from South Africa
@@IO-zz2xy 757 is my favorite 😉
People like you are are cool because you may be a boing fan but you can appreciate other aircraft!
Size Small
Yup, the cockpit concept is amazing. It’s easy to swap between types.
I have flown on a Delta's A330-900NEO.It's an amazing plane very comfortable, very quiet and versatile.A wonderful flying machine

And in a near 500 seating capacity
A330 is ideal for Cebu Pacific's use case. Operating on congested airport doing small hops between islands and then fly long haul to ferry OFW's
Men’s XL
I like the way the A330Neo is wearing it‘s new Airbus style bandit mask … the proportion and shape of engine and wing is simply a beauty and the nice landing gear …
As a PAX I am happy with 2-4-2 and sometimes 2-2-2 in the front. Was able to see it in it‘s Delta Team USA in OSH during Flight display. So quiet 🙃
I like the bandit mask in M ;-)
I love how the A330neo incorporates so much of the A350's technology like the sharklets and new interior. 2xl
Size XL. 🙂
Agreed I like they’re A330s so much more than their cramped 787s
@@alphamalegold airlines dont care about what passengers like.

Having only a third of the seats be middle seats sure is nice ◡̈
I work at Airbus in Toulouse as an aircraft electrician on the A330. And I see, everyday, the differences between the neo and the ceo. Especially for the cabin furnishing, the way my company worked on manufacturing enhancement to fix galleys and lavatories for examples. But also on ordinary parts like baseboards. We just take half the time to install them compared the ceo!
And even if I see it from the inside, I learned a lot with this video! 😁
Medium size 🤞
@intellicadee ceo is considered the „old“ planes before the neo. Like A330-300, …
@intellicadee so, "ceo" means "Current Engine Option" as opposed to "neo", which means "New Engine Option".
That would be quite the site to see
One could dream right? Lol
What current Frontier routes could you see them using the A330NEO for?
I love the A330 since I started flying and when it was a backbone to Emirates’ fleet many years ago. Such a nice plane.
Love the A330 family. Especially the way she lands. The bogeys on this type give the smoothest landings. Size L for that sweatshirt
Man i love the a330,
I love the interviews with the Airbus employees, which gives insights into their future thinking. Excellent.
Did you pass?
I have only flown transatlantic once, and it was in an A330. For that reason, the A330 will always hold a special place in my heart. (L)
I assume Boeing takes the same approach.
i think Indigo will need some of these looking at the crazy growth in demand
Btw, the A339 is certified to carry 440 passangers in a single class configuration, such as used by Cebu Pacific, although some articles state they are fitted with 459 seats. Either way, quite the people mover!
Widebody on short haul routes can certainly work. Prior to retiring them, Qantas was using it's 767's extensively (departure every 30 minutes) on MEL-SYD, a flight time of around 1 hour..
SIA even uses widebodies between SIN-KUL, a route so short that planes can climb only to FL200 before descending
My shirt size is a 2XL and my favorite thing about the A330 NEO is the brand new winglet designed. The shark let looks incredible cool on this planes
The 330 neo caught my attention due to its remarkable adaptability and versatility in accommodating diverse flight routes. Additionally, I was unaware that the majority of Airbus planes share a comparable cockpit. Your videos, Coby, are highly enjoyable and of exceptional quality.

Agreed. In Asia, it’s not uncommon to see A330s used in short-haul and medium-haul routes with high passenger density. It works well.

Hi,
I love the A330neo for its glide range!
Love this plane. The 2-4-2 seating is ideal for couples. NO middle sear or stranger between you👌🇿🇦
I got amazed by the Cabin Silence, I did 2 flights, São Paulo to Lisbon and back with TAP.
Excellently presented and explained. Very authoritative! I look up all the time!
my shirt size is 42 and my favourite thing about the Airbus A330 is the the design on the cockpit windshield. The way it looks on the outside is just amazing
0:00 The Eurowings Discover isn’t an A330 neo, it’s actually an A330 with a black windshield.
good eye
EDIT: Small pls Coby!
you have outdone yourself in the depth and comprehensiveness of your report on this topic. bravo!!!
They’re one of my favourite aircraft now, I actively look for them
on the older models and the A380 they are called sharklets, not winglets
So I have very good memories with the plane, it was spacious enough even in the economy cabin, it was quiet and the flight overall was very smooth on A330.☺️
330neo for the win! versatility + dispatch reliability is the key!!
Very insightful thoughts Coby admired the 338 and 339 for quite a few years, thanks for taking the time to look at it
I appreciate the expansive cabin and sleek wing design the way its shaped and glued to the fuselage.
Eurowings doesn't have any A330neo, they just painted the windshield black so it looks like it.
An avgeek community needs a new universal favourite… like B747 used to be… A380, while loved by many, has its detractors… maybe A330 could become one?
Great video Coby 🥂
Did someone win the shirt now? Also at 5:59 I believe SAS will be the next A330-900 & A330-800neo customer as they fly A330-300 & -200 jets and are a fan of the A320neo family and the A350 so they obviously prefer new Airbus jets so I'd say the A330neo will be their next choice for trans-oceanic and transcontinental services
