You should check out the band Sylosis if you haven’t heard them, a lot of ppl call their frontman/lead guitarist the modern day chuck, insanely good guitarist and songwriter. Their album edge of the earth is one of the best metal albums ever, they’re like a thrash/melodeath combo genre wise, their album monolith is also insanely good. They did a cover of symbolic which is probably my fav death cover out there if you wanna check that out, chuck was obviously a big influence on the dude.
