North East Tennessee here... My wife and I really like your videos. You seem like a really honest and conscientious person... Contractors everywhere could and should take heed to your demeanor..
Congratulations on hundred thousand subscriber's!!! Hardest working most honest person on TH-cam. Totally transparent happy for you Ken, Retired homebuilder from Louisville Kentucky.
Been binging your videos and seems like your customers are always getting praised. That’s a direct result of the product and service you and your crew provides for them. Good on ya ken.
Ken, thanks for another enjoyable video from beautiful winter Vermont. The garage looks very nice thanks to your craftsmanship and passion for good work and pleasing your customers. Glad to see you recovered from the shoulder surgery, be well !!!
Just started watching your videos, you folks do excellent work, you make it look so easy, beautiful country where this garage is built, this is my favorite of the garage's you have built, stay safe and thanks for sharing your great work on these builds.
A garage with a beautiful view; who could ask for anything more! Very nice Ken, enjoyable video and lucky customer to get your custom touch. Stay warm, Spring is coming! 😎
Ken I was really pleased you managed to include a sneak peek of the clients home overlooking that fabulous view...I guess there is a price to pay for living in such an exclusive and remote location but surely worth it! - hope the arm is mending ok, stay safe buddy! 👍🇬🇧😊
Just discovered your videos this week. Really enjoy your style of building. Between your quality, speed, and prices you must be busy constantly. You have some of the most beautiful work sites Ive ever seen. Wish you were closer to the midwest, Id love to hire you and your crew for a garage for me. Ill be watching more of your videos for ideas for my future garage. Be safe and hope 2022 will be a great year for you and your crew.
I kind of like the wireless mic issue at the end. Reminiscent of all those 8mm soundless film of my grandparents I used to watch of them on the shores of that northern Maine lake. Had to kinda guess at what they were saying. Love the piano background during this video.
Ken still watching in Beaver Dam Wisconsin. A hooded sweatshirt coveralls and some gloves and 4° temperature. You just don’t learned that in a week. 👍👍👍👍
Wow Ken, the more I watch your channel the more it gets me to paying you and your crew the premium necessary to put up a gambriel 34'x30' garage with 14' ceiling first floor and 9' ceiling second floor (and walls for heated living space). In a couple more months I will have my plans drawn up and perhaps u and I could have a talk. I will be up your way on business in a few months would love to see ya at your place or on the job. Dinner on me for u, ur your crew and ur family. Videos are outstanding by the way!
I was born and raised in Colorado Ken. But your location is beautiful, and makes me want to explore Vermont and New Hampshire much more. I’ve been in all 50 states, but I’ve not seen this. Let me know if you want to do a house swap for a week!!!
Ken! Love your channel. Wish you operated in Arizona. Please consider uploading your channel videos to Rumble as well as TH-cam. Thanks. Jim & Mary Lou
Ken; very nice construction. What I don't like about it is the snow accumulating in front of the doors when falling off the roof... Tell us how will they get to the second floor once the ceiling is completed?
That is SOME VIEW ! Good Truss work! where is the cordless framing gun? what a great experience to work with your girl there for you both together ! i like you use CDX n the roof . im learning mucho .thanks , im looking for a attachment for the nose of a roofing nailer to space the nail and use on Vinyl siding .
This is so cool. Thanks for sharing. I have an 1850’s house in central MA that needs some structural beam and joists replaced/repaired and I wonder if you or any recommended colleagues do projects in MA?
Nice job. I guess I’m going to have to move my house closer to you so I can get a kens karpentry garage. Do you build additions to houses? I am looking to have a family room addition with a mud room attached to new garage.?. Thanks Ken!
get the owner to install a public web cam with the view of the mountains.... Nice view! Has anyone varied the saltbox pitch to install solar panels on the roof?
What brand windows did you use on this job? Fantastic video..... only wish I was close enough that I could hire you folks for my new outbuilding construction.
I'm in Utah. Do you think this garage would have been OK with concrete slab? My soil is stable and would be compacted. I was thinking a good 8 inches around the perimeter and say 5 inches for the rest. What would you recommend? Also would you put re-bar?

You're a fantastic builder. Every part fitted perfectly.
Shooting video through your tinted truck window gave the video a warmer feel. Took the harsh edge off all the bright white snow.
Wish I was in there holding the camera

Nice work.
Thanks
Ken; very nice construction. What I don't like about it is the snow accumulating in front of the doors when falling off the roof... Tell us how will they get to the second floor once the ceiling is completed?
They’re able come in from the side and easily remove it. It has pull down stairs
Beautiful view!!!
Thanks
Nice job

Interesting thanks
Impressive garage Ken. Lots of attic storage, looks great.

I could use that Hyper Drive when my wife makes me take her to town on the weekends.
Haha
That is SOME VIEW ! Good Truss work! where is the cordless framing gun? what a great experience to work with your girl there for you both together !

Beautiful views. What happened to Chad at the end? I didn't think that was him in the green coat.
Wow what a view
It’s beautiful
This is so cool. Thanks for sharing. I have an 1850’s house in central MA that needs some structural beam and joists replaced/repaired and I wonder if you or any recommended colleagues do projects in MA?
Too bad you were not closer to Minnesota. Id have you build my garage for sure.
Wao so beautiful!Where is mine???
Good job excellent God bless you
Thanks for watching. Same to you!
Ken, your daughter? She seems very industrious and helpful, just like you.
Yes she’s my daughter. Thanks
Nice job.
I guess I’m going to have to move my house closer to you so I can get a kens karpentry garage.
Do you build additions to houses? I am looking to have a family room addition with a mud room attached to new garage.?.

We have before
get the owner to install a public web cam with the view of the mountains.... Nice view!
Has anyone varied the saltbox pitch to install solar panels on the roof?
Ooohhh good idea
Wow Vermont is nice. 👌
Great job!!! Some real cold days how do you do it.
Keep moving
What brand windows did you use on this job? Fantastic video..... only wish I was close enough that I could hire you folks for my new outbuilding construction.
Pella. Thanks for watching
Enjoy seeing the process of you putting up the garage. How many different sizes of garages do you build?
Thanks the biggest we’ve built is a 30x50 gambrel
looked a little like Yukon Cornelius puttin' in the windows with the fast mo.....
Ken I really think you have good billing building techniques
Thanks
Thx 😊 for sharing
About the roofing materials, metal. Do you use the long metal to prevent ice dams?
The snow comes off very nicely
Ken --Love your videos -- do you build the trusses or purchase them and if purchased where do you buy them
We purchase them at a local lumber yard
Hi Ken,what stops the ladders sliding away when you were installing the front roof ply.
We tied a rope from a ladder rung to the tail of a truss
Nice. I like it.
Thanks
Why don't you use a 2x6 pressure treated sill plate and attach the preformed walls to the plate?
Hi Ken.
Do You ever do a double bottom plate , pt & regular ?
Thank You.
Not usually
I'm in Utah. Do you think this garage would have been OK with concrete slab? My soil is stable and would be compacted. I was thinking a good 8 inches around the perimeter and say 5 inches for the rest. What would you recommend? Also would you put re-bar?
I know it’s hotter there than here so I don’t know how the concrete would react. I always use rebar.
Beautiful
Thanks
Nice job as usual. Is this New Hampshire?
Thanks yes it is
Here in QC we put up siding before the J channel of the soffit goes up.
How do you finish your last row of siding and get it tacked?
We use silicone dabs in the bottom of the last panel and snap it in place. When the silicone dries it keeps the siding in place.
Ken why do you run the wall sheeting vertical instead of horizontal?
I’m pretty sure they are horizontal
Ken why not build to the lumber dimensions and eliminate most of the waste ? Thanks
We come as close as we can. Some lengths just come out odd.
Did you ever consider getting house wrap with your company name printed on it.
I looked into it a little.
Nice work love the videos. How much were the trusses?
Around $200 each
Ken, How cold would it have to get for you to use your hammer to drive nails?
I’d probably go home if I had to frame with a hammer
What keeps the bottom of the ladders from coming out
We either pound grade stakes in the ground or tie with a rope to the trusses
How come you didn’t use the little lift for the shearing?
Budget
How do you keep your ladder from sliding on frozen ground, especially on the front of the roof. Looks like you turned up the feet?
We tie a rope around the ladder and attach it to the trusses from underneath
Ken what size are your head for garage door opening, are they lvl headers? Thanks
2x12 doubled with plywood
No cut out with stairs to get up top ?
It has pull down stairs
Only five below that’s cold for Northern California.
Why you didn’t finish the drywall inside is the deal to keep it just like that or to finish it later on
We only do the shell and finish the exterior that keeps us out straight.
Great job!!! Would you come to Gorham Nh?
Thanks sorry that’s just a little out of our range
