Yeah but I noticed that some end up executing it in a way that's not quite a Brain Buster but more of a suplex and they land on their back where is some do it the right way and actually land them down on their head some of them executed better and some just kind of do more of a suplex
@@ThunderFilez in my opinion some of these aren't that good because I noticed that they do more of a suplex brainbuster you're really supposed to drop your opponent on their head but have you noticed that summoned up executing it where their Landing landing on their back which looks more like a suplex I'd like the ones the execute it the way it's supposed to be when they drop them on their head
Japanese rings look so much more solid, especially compared to IWAs trampoline ring. Sorry to hear about the previous channel, glad to see you're still at it
I gotta thank you for putting Perry Saturn in there. One of my all-time favorites doing my all-time favorite finish. Excellent video, I had a blast watching! 🤘
Fantastic list, loads of guys I had no idea who had any kind of decent buster which was nice to see. I have a soft spot for Kid Kash's, loved how he always got them perfectly vertical before dropping.
Trust me bro, if there was a usable clip of Malenko's, it would have been in here. I looked for hours. His WWF/WCW stuff is off limits for copyright reasons, and I looked through many old NJPW matches trying to find a clip but he never did it it any of those. I know I saw him do it in WCW and ECW a lot. Sorry dude. Thanks for watching though.
I love the way the japanese wrestlers sold their brainbusters. They be screaming at the top of their lungs before slamming their opponents onto the mat.
Hashmoto was the master of thr DDT and his brainbuster almost looks like he's driving his opponent on their crown. I always thought his brainbuster looked like death
Forgot that AJ styles used one too he hit some nasty ones too so does Austin Aries after them charging lightning fast corner dropkicks to stun them they're out and then comes his unique brainbuster after that.

Koko B Ware could probably make a top 10 easy , dude had a Brainbuster on par with Hashimoto and Kawada with how much skull seemed to get dumped in the mat
The original Brainbuster was just a regular Vertical Suplex in Japan. So what's generally called a Brainbuster nowadays, was/is referred to as a Sheerdrop Brainbuster in Japan.
Anytime a wrestler does a Brain Buster and they land on their back like they've been suplex I consider it a bad brainbuster don't get me wrong it still looks coin devastating but it wasn't executed right the ones that got it right in this video are the ones who drop them straight on their head the last one was the best and probably the most devastating to
Yeah, I would say most people enjoy a Brainbuster more where they are being dropped right on their head. I think the ones where they snap down and land on their upper back look good too. I love all Brainbusters, I don't discriminate.
@@ThunderFilez I think they look good but they look more like a suplex is all that I'm saying they look just as good but they look like they're a suplex instead of a Brain Buster when they do that
This is a dumb criticism IMO because you literally cannot perform a brainbuster on a wrestler and not risk death or brain damage. A lot of these moves had to be toned down so that the performers don't fucking get killed trying to LARP a fictitious competition. I love wrestling but I'd prefer wrestlers actually get to wrestle rather than botch a brainbuster and then die.
As someone who's wrestled for 20 yrs. and used the Brainbuster as a finish, landing them skull first is unsafe as fuck!! If you watch people like Eddie Guerrero do it, it's phenomenal! But as he's dropping them headfirst, he switches to a snap vertical position onto the back. Because otherwise, you can cripple or kill your opponent. Know why they drop head first in Japan? Because A)You get paid a LOT, B)They have "secret pain killing meds". Opium. And that's from my old trainer who was in the 80s-90s, pre-FMW dojo. Also, C)The folks like Hashimoto didn't keep doing it as a finish. You'd kill your roster in one week on a tour!
I know that it's gotta be done safely if it's going to be done, at all but the majority of the Brainbusters on here & almost all of them that you see these days are little more than suplexs. That & a brainbuster is almost never a legit finisher which is pretty crazy, tbh.
A move so simple yet so devastating. Brainbuster is definitely one of all time favorite moves. Great compilation!
Much appreciated brother.

Thanks man, all good. Just up from here. There is no doubt Puro rings were stiffer. Were made much more solid.
for me generico’s brainbuster is the best amongst all . he move forward & jump then lands it
I gotta thank you for putting Perry Saturn in there. One of my all-time favorites doing my all-time favorite finish. Excellent video, I had a blast watching! 🤘
Awesome to hear, I'm glad you enjoyed! Perry Saturn absolutely deserves a spot on this list. Had a great Brainbuster!

Wish I could've found a better clip to be honest. Most of his really good ones were during his WWE run.
Of course Hashimoto's first ! The one by Arik Cannon is really great
My fav move ever! A great compilation, sir, but personally I missed Dean Malenko.

Damn near everything Perry Saturn did was so smooth and crisp. He was really good.
Welcome back, dear chap.
Thanks man, glad to see you back.
Hell yeah, Hashimoto!!! :)
I love the way the japanese wrestlers sold their brainbusters. They be screaming at the top of their lungs before slamming their opponents onto the mat.
Great vid, and also the more you know and find out: had no idea Orange Cassidy was Fire Ant
I love this move so much
That Murdoch one... Beautiful
Hashmoto was the master of thr DDT and his brainbuster almost looks like he's driving his opponent on their crown. I always thought his brainbuster looked like death
My favourite wre Jushin,Hashimoto and Will Ospreay
Masato Tanaka and Hazuki had really great brainbusters too
i really dig the deadlift one ricochet does. u gotta be a strong boi to pull that off
Yeah, I love that one too. The whole combo is pretty cool
Damn, my favourite isn't even on the list. Prince Devitt/Finn Bálor - Bloody Sunday/1916
This is Top 50 users of the original Brainbuster. Not variations.
I love this move!
Forgot that AJ styles used one too he hit some nasty ones too so does Austin Aries after them charging lightning fast corner dropkicks to stun them they're out and then comes his unique brainbuster after that.
リコシェの滅多に出さない垂直落下が好きです
Nice
Wooooow some of those were really snug and made me wince
Brainbusters can get gnarly that's for sure.
The best user of the brain buster was my created wrestler in WWF NO MERCY on N64. Show some respect.
Some of those were just vertical suplexes but cool vid
It just hits different in Japan
Thanks for putting together clips, but you definitely should have included Mercedes Martinez.
As far as I'm aware, she only uses the Fisherman Buster. I have never seen her use a regular one.

For sure, Arik Cannon's Brainbuster had always been fantastic.

BRAINBUSTAAAAA
04:20 when was this match?
It was Perry Saturn vs. Pete Huge (PWB Danger Zone III 6/2/12)

I agree, his Brainbuster is awesome. He made my Top 10.
I’m surprised Katsuhiko Nakajima isn’t on this list
Yeah, there are a few people from Japan I left out unintentionally.
That’s what I’m saying
The vertical spike is deadly
I like el generico's the best!
He's my boy! That's why I have him in the thumbnail, I've always loved his as well.
Was Whitmers a brainbuster, or an adrenaline spike? Definitely hard to tell with Whitmer lol
I always thought the Adrenaline Spike was Whitmer's Fire Thunder.
@@ThunderFilez You could be right, I always thought it was a lifting DDT after Steve Corino called it that
Kyle O’Reilly’s has always been my favorite.
Why is called sheer drop?

Arn Anderson?
I wasn't even aware Arn ever used a Brainbuster. I'm aware though, I've left some people out. This probably could've been a Top 100 realistically.
Tomohiro Ishii better be on this list
Well, were you happy with the result?
For me its all about kid kash's dead level as the best brainbuster.
What is the difference between this move and vertical suplex?
The Brainbuster drops them more on the back of their head/shoulders, rather than straight on their back like a Suplex.
I Like Brainbuster Move I Could Use That on my moveset

Yep that was him.
