@codycdiaz CRF150F stock forks do not have fork guards as they are not inverted forks. The forks on my bike are CR85 forks and the fork guards are CR85/150R specific. CR85 and CRF150R share the same guards.
@1whoridesDirtbikes If you want the inverted forks then yes. Years 1996-2007 CR80/85 will all work the same. Anything older are the old style cartridge forks.
If it's a stock motor and all you want to do is add an exhaust. Honestly, you will not feel much of an increase if any at all. Keep in mind you should also jet the bike when installing an aftermarket exhaust..once you do that you may feel a little difference, but it will be slight! As for the forks, look through the comments it's been answered.
Google Reger Engineering. If you want to keep the stock 150F wheel, you'll need the Reger brake adapter, Reger 3-piece front wheel spacers & center support, and the Reger steering stop. The CR85 lower left fork leg will need to be helie coiled in order to accept the Reger brake adapter. The steering stem also needs to be pressed ($60 if you send it to Reger). If you have the complete CR85 front end including wheel, then you'll only need to have the stem pressed and none of the stuff above.
hey i have a 2008 150f and its an awesome play bike can go anywhere a 250 or 450 can go, but now i rode and it seems as that the throttle response is late which i noticed and also seems it lost power, think u can help me with some tips that could bring its awesome power bak?
The 150F comes stock with a disc brake in the front. Do a search on google for "CR85 fork conversion for CRF150F" for info on how to install them. As for the engine mods, go to coeshow.com and contact him for all your engine needs.
@hondarider9494 The bike is a CRF150F, including the engine. The engine started as 150F, then a CRF230 top end and crank were installed to make it 223cc. The 230F engine parts bolt right on for the conversion.
I know a few people who have street legal 150/230's and they have made great road bikes. Just stay on top of your oil/filter maintenance and you'll be fine.
@20mm1 if he would of gotten the R he would of needed a top end every 15 to 20 hours. I don't think he's that kinda guy. Hey but you are! That's why we need you dude, you're special and we know you're the next JS7
how do you change out the forks, and put a disc on it, i really wanna know because the race forks look so much better. what kind of suspension and forks is it called
Yes you need the CR85 triple clamps. You can use your stock 150F front wheel and caliper but you will need to buy the needed front brake bracket and wheel spacers from Reger Engineering.
One other question. You obviously took a lot of time cleaning the bike prior to assembling, how did you get the baked on mud and dirt stains off the engine without painting it?
What do you mean by "hotter"?? More aggressive cam grind? If it's running like crap, doesn't have anything to do with a cam.You may have other issues going on..If you simply want more power, yes a more aggressive cam grind will help you out.
These are great bikes. I'm 23 and have a blast on this bike. Yes, I've been through 250's, 450's...but i always come back to the 150f. $800 is cheap, as long as it's in good shape go for it!
great bike dude, your bike conviced me to buy this that a 150r, how much the modifications costs and whats your top speed? sorry for too much questions hahaha
ye...no... lol im sure that costed wayy too much just to beat one of those two beautiful bikes but im not gonna lie you have a super sick setup dude :)
@ArchaicBuffoonery It has a CR85 front end, so I used CR85 triple clamps. I'm sure it's possible with YZ125 forks, but the problem is they would be too long, you would need to have them shortened on top of other modifications to make them bolt on.
Get a 150r, 5x more power, 2x the speed, 100x the looks, 10x the suspension, 80x better sound even with a stock pipe, plus a 150r will beat a crf 230f, and i beat a 450 on mine in a drag race!
Depends on how much you get the CR85 forks for. Since I purchased a NEW set of forks off Ebay it was a bit more money than the average cost of a conversion. It's been 5+ years since I did the conversion, so I don't know off my head the exact cost..I would say, a little over a $1000 I'm into. But it can be done cheaper.
Thanks brotha. In all honesty..whichever pipe you think is the best looking, go for it. I've been through BBR, EO, Two Brothers, and now have the Pro Circuit. From previous dyno results, BBR and Pro Circuit were proven to be on top..but really on a stock bike you won't feel much performance gain if any when just adding an exhaust to it.
Very Nice. I just picked up a CR 85 front end and am in the process of mocking it up. What is the "Reger conversion Kit" you referred to? And were you able to use the stock 150 wheel? Did you use the CR 85 trees?
@duxski17 lol yea i typed it at the beginning of the vid when it said "223cc" and i meant to delete the comment after the vid when i saw u put a whole new motor in it.
@mrkx125rider1 I purchased this bike before the 150R was even out. Plus why would I do that when this thing eats the 150R all day long? Reliable too? Yup!
Man thats a sweet bike ive watched this vid like 3 times lol i recently just changed the forks and shit on my 150f and jw how are your front brakes on there because the stock 150f's wont go back on!!!

Now that’s what you call a strait up trail bike to a race bike almost
@1whoridesDirtbikes

If you don't have it already, you need to purchase the Reger Engineering bracket to mount your stock 150f caliper to your forks.
hey i need help,,does it matter what year the cr85 forks have to be in order to fit a crf150f? i have a 08 crf150f,
Thanks. That is the rear shock reservoir.
Should’ve put a flat slide carb on there
thats the best looking trail bike i have ever seen

no way i had a stock one (with no spark arrester) then put a bbr on and saw a major power increase
The 150F comes stock with a disc brake in the front. Do a search on google for "CR85 fork conversion for CRF150F" for info on how to install them. As for the engine mods, go to coeshow.com and contact him for all your engine needs.
Use any kind of degreaser, spray it on the engine while washing it and if the mud is that bad use a tooth brush to scrub the engine.
@hondarider9494

The Trail Tech runs off it's own battery. You don't need a battery on your bike to have a Trail Tech.
does the 2005 have a battery if not how did you get that trail tech to work on it?
by far the sickest 150f ive ever seen
@20mm1 if he would of gotten the R he would of needed a top end every 15 to 20 hours. I don't think he's that kinda guy. Hey but you are! That's why we need you dude, you're special and we know you're the next JS7
I like it for a trail bike just get rid of the drum brakes if your bike is that modified
awesome bike
wow nice work real nice bike mine just has a few mods
For your next mod, you should get a red front fender and a white rear fender!
They are Tag T2 "Mini Works" 1 1/8" bars. Not sure if they even make them anymore. Google them.
how much faster is ur 150f now?
how do you change out the forks, and put a disc on it, i really wanna know because the race forks look so much better. what kind of suspension and forks is it called
ya but u get asv levers so that wen u dump the bike they dont break but if u have hand guards like that ur levers wont even touch the ground
I like the muffler !
honda trail bikes are the best things made
@hondaracing198 hey ya you could but the 150 r is built to race a 150f is built to do awesome trails!
What kind of hand protectors are they and were did u get them
That's actually an MB1 sticker on a works shock. Google Works Performance.
@1whoridesDirtbikes
Yes, you need the CR85 triple clamps.

omg dude sexy bike i love it, i had 2005 crf150f and loved it, mine didnt have many mods though
One other question. You obviously took a lot of time cleaning the bike prior to assembling, how did you get the baked on mud and dirt stains off the engine without painting it?

Trailtech Endurance fitted inside a Pro Taper Bar pad, custom made from me!

@mrkx125rider1 I purchased this bike before the 150R was even out. Plus why would I do that when this thing eats the 150R all day long? Reliable too? Yup!
Did the front forks work with the stock holder? Also where did you get your rear Shock and Spring?
Because this bike was built to kick both of their asses!
