Damn! That’s loud, sounds like the infamous piston slap. That’s how my 2012 sounds like now that cold weather has arrived. First time I’ve heard it since owing this truck. I’ve narrowed it down to piston slap or engine oil pump. Need to get a stethoscope to listen on the oil filter

U gun die... No really, it's common. It may actually go away after a few weeks. I had it on my 08 SR5 for a week or two.

joe baumgartner hey guys my taco does the same thing (I think) but my best buddy who is an awesome certified mechanic said the noise is coming from the fuel pressurizing bla bla bla, I stopped paying attention because he said it was normal and he'll talk your ear off if you let him. As far as the door seal noise goes I figured out that on MY truck the noise was coming from the window seals which have very weak glue and make the "peeling tape" noise. But now I've also got a rattle under my dash right above the cluster and a rattle from my power window switch panel. But on the other hand our tacos have only depreciated 8 bucks a year.
