Appreciate that sir! Glad the drone gave it a little extra “umph!” I’ll be using that and head POV (with better placement angle to capture more than this one did. Sorry about that) on all my climbing videos from here on out. I thought it gave a different perspective of going up the tree. Thanks for watching!
Nice review. Drone on the climb has been the best climb footage yet. Watching that bottom standoff flex while you were jumping on it was kinda scary. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for checking it out! And yeah I wanted to add in a little “razzle dazzle” so we busted out the drone lol but I thought it gave a better POV of the one stick climb. It’s an awesome platform. I think the standoff was more or less sliding down the tree when I first jump and come down.
@@moorehuntin8732 thanks for checking it out! And yeah I highly doubt anyone will usually just be jumping up and down as hard as I was just because lol but there was some movement in it for sure! It’s a super sweet setup tho!
I enjoy your videos man. Glad you reviewed this stick with the UP. I’ve been in the market for a few months for the perfect one stick. I’ll be converting this summer. Glad I watched this one. I think I’ve made my decision. Thanks again! Great video.
Liked that you put it on a pine tree. Everybody always puts them on other types of trees but never pines which is what i mainly have to hunt here in Florida. Good job.
What are the measurements for the platform bolt holes on the stick? I'm wanting a to diy a scout type platform with hopes of adding a UP later. I want the bolt holes to match for later.
I couldn't tell in the video if the UP has or does not have a place to have a pull up rope like the regular one stick (either a gear tie or the wire insert). Could you offer an opinion if you like the angle on the UP vs your regular flat ultimate one stick? Also, do you think the UP affects packability a lot?
It has the same pull up rope/wire insert that comes out of the 1” stick tubing like the other ultimate one sticks. I honestly do like the angle on the front of the UP, I’m a lean’r for the most part and it’s nice to have that slight angle to have my arches placed on vs the flat scout. At times, after a few hours I could sometimes get a foot ache. And packability won’t be bad. I usually pack my one sticks on the outside of my “pack” and the stand-offs side are the same distance from the stick for placement when packing in. It for sure isn’t the fold-down-stow-away type of packability, but comes through on just about every other aspect in what we look for in sticks. Unless, something drastic happens, I’ll be hunting with this set up.
I know it’s been 3 years since you posted this video but, I’m considering purchasing one this week & I’m curious how you feel about it after all this time & also which size 12” or 15” is most popular???
@@ISaddleHunt awesome thank you. How about the LP vs the UP I like the idea of it packing smaller but i like the wings for pushing out to the left and right for shots on the backs side. Do you have experience with the LP stand yet?
I currently have the Scout and I'm considering getting the UP. Is there a significant difference in getting turned around to shoot off the weak side with the UP? It's pretty tough to do it discreetly on the Scout and I was hoping having more foot room would make turning to the weak side easier.
I’ve had the scout on my original EWO one stick and to answer your question, yes the UP has plenty of space to spin your back to the tree. That’s how I prefer to turn my weakside shot into your strong side shot again. The all-flat has slightly more space due to it being flat, but the angled one is great.
Great video as always brotha! I have the original with the angled platform and like the idea of more real estate at height but hard for me to justify. If it ain't broke why fix it yknow?
Quick question sir, but first nice video and lots of good content. I'm 5'10" and have the 12" ordered. Would you suggest changing to a 15" or not? Trying to balance packability with climbability. Thank you!
Appreciate the words sir! I honestly like the 12” stick I have now, but I guess I wouldn’t say one over the other. I think that personal preference is mainly what will come into play. I’ve had no issue “packing” in my 15” stick at all. So it’ll come down to what you’d prefer honestly. I ended up liking the 12” slightly more now after having it
Awesome review Bobby! I’m debating about taking my platform on my ultimate one stick and changing it to the UP as well as getting rid of my predator xl (just less stuff to carry in and out and set up). How comfy is it on the feet for long sits in the saddle? Im a sz 10.5 shoe and wanted to know if you had plenty of room? Thanks brother!
To be honest, the longest I’ve been on my UP is about 3hrs and didn’t have any issues with ache. If I was goin in for an all day’r I’d most likely bring my predator and set my one stick on my “weak-side” to help me maneuver.
Nice review! It’s a nice option. But I don’t see myself throwing away the ultimate one stick. This new stick comes with tradeoffs. The UP has more real estate for up a tree but you gotta pack it too. I’m already thinking the scout is big.
Thanks for checking it out! It definitely comes with less packability options for sure, but I envision this being able to replace me bringing my platform along with my ultimate one stick on longer hunts. I would sometimes get a foot ache on longer hunts. I’ll find out during 🦃 season here in two weeks! Lol
@@ISaddleHunt - I was thinking of bringing 2-4 squirrel steps for augmenting my Maneuverability up a tree for the one stick. I would likely do the same for the UP since it gives you a little extra room on the side but that angle on those tips prolly won’t be as effective as one would think.
@@donovanstockton44 yeah, I’m more of a spinner when it comes to weak side shots so flat foot space is important to me, more so than the winged tips, but they are a nice addition and was nice to place my toes on for ease of maneuverability.
You up the game for game for everybody else with the drone angle loved it a lot keep up the good work big Fan
Appreciate that sir! Yup, the drone will always be the 2nd POV angle on all climbs from here on out!

Thanks for the video! You answered the question I had before I asked it, 12” or 15”. Guess I’ll get the 15” cause I hate hitting my shins.
Haha! ✊🏽 after the first time, it was the last time lol it honestly isn’t bad having the 12”.
Hey can you demonstrate how you retrieve your tether once you repel down? Im working on something and would like to see a few different techniques
Most definitely. I’ll be sure to add that in on the next video which is going to be a “how to” one stick vid. Will fit perfect in it
